Double Stroller or 2 Singles?

I have a 3.5 year old and a (will be at the time) 17 month old. Each of them will definitely need a stroller. We have umbrella strollers. We have 2 singles and a double, and all fold up nicely and could easily be taken on and off transportation, stored, etc. SO, which would you use? Pros and cons?

I am thinking of getting the straps that keep the two singles together like a double. So then we'll have to option to do it either way.

Tried these, but they only work if you have two singles that are the same, and ours aren't.
