We just found out that we are expecting baby #2! DD will be 2 1/2 when the new baby arrives. We've been researching double strollers and are having a really hard time with options. We would use it for zoo, Disney, mall, etc. We want something that has two seats but converts to a sit & stand. We also want something with 2 snack trays (1 for each child). Right now I'm looking at the Joovy Too Caboose but I'm not thrilled that it only has 1 canopy & 1 snack tray. I'm also considering the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Double. Any opinions? Any other brand I should consider?

Have you checked out the baby jogger city select or britax b-agile? Those are two of the growing number of strollers that can be singles, doubles, etc. they have numerous seating configurations and if you added the glider board on the back it would give you the "stand" option you're after.

this exactly. I have owned MANY strollers (doubles and singles). The Joovy caboose is not a great ride. I would get a City Select and then get a ride on board when you want that - b/c you can use it as single/double/sit and stand, etc.

I had that stroller (with a ride on board for my older son + twins)... and it was my favorite of all the strollers I ever owned.

We have 5 kiddos, all 2 years apart, we have had every stroller lol I like the Phil and Teds inline and britax inline for shopping, Disney, city sidewalks

Our mountain buggy double and maclaren double and our peg perego souble we used a buggy board or a cool scooter attachment that you can buy.

Any other suggestions where I can get all pieces/parts for under $300? As much as I'd like to spend $500+ on a double stroller that's just not in the budget!

I got a Baby Jogger city mini almost 6 years ago, and I just gave it to a good friend for her two little ones. It was the best stroller ever. It was lightweight, folded easily, fit through standard doors, had the best canopies going, reclined, storage underneath and behind each seat…it went to the zoo, Disney 5 times, in and out of the city and various shopping trips. I have had lots of strollers, from Zooper joggers, to Joovy, but I never loved one like my City Mini, I was sad to see it go, but with a 7 and 5 y.o we just didn't need it.

We have the baby trend sit m stand and have no problems with it. DD is 5 yrs old (about 45 pounds) & DS is 25 months ( about 25 pounds) and we have taken it on 3 Disney trips, malls etc with no issues. Folds up good for the bus, has snack tray for front child & sitting child with adult cup holders, nice storage underneath & 2 sun shades.

I prefer the city mini double, too. However, this looks like it meets all of your criteria. I have never used the stroller, but have purchased many things from this site. http://www.albeebaby.com/graco-ready-to-grow-stand-and-ride-duo-stroller-oasis.html

I have this one and I love it and hate it. It does meet all your criteria and has great options. It was our theme park stroller this past summer. But we took one day only trips to Busch Gardens and we drive with no need for busses or trams.
it was great because it held a ton of stuff and the kids were comfortable. It was very hard to push all loaded down. Never mind up a hill. it took me and another person to push up a hill. My kids were 15 months and 3.

I am not taking it to WDW. Too heavy and too difficult to fold up on busses.

My kids are 23 months apart. I personally owned several strollers. I really wanted what you described until...I had #2 and actually used it. The front to back was a nightmare. Like pushing a boat. I ended up with a city mini and bumbleride indie twin. Never used the front to back again (used it three times total). I love the city mini...all of the city mini, gt, select are fabulous. They fit through doors, easy fold, easy pushing, you can get snack trays etc.

I totally agree!! I have the city mini gt and love it. i have 4 dc and had a Phil and Ted front back for my first two, but got the city mini when I had #4. My dc are 18 months apart and it has been great. I didn't even bother with the carseat adaptor because the seat reclines flat. Also, it has a large canopy. We brought it to Disney in November and I was so happy I did.

My first question is: how do you know you want something that will convert to a sit n stand? I've heard lots of moms say that they hate those things. BJ City Mini Double!!! My twins are 6 today, normal size & they still fit in it just fine. It has lasted us 4 1/2 yrs of NUMEROUS trips (they are lazy walkers). Our next trip (in 25 days!!) will probably be our last with the stroller so if your LO will be 2 1/2 years apart you could get them to 6 & 4 before you need something else (if at all).

I fell in love with the graco grow with me stroller cause it has so many options but after looking closer at it in the store I decided no it wasn't for us. Graco recently released a stroller that is just like the city mini for under $300. Its a double and I like it. Its also within our price range. I never really liked the sit and stand options because I knew we would use it at places that we would be at all day and there will be times that both baby and toddler would nap. Now if you decided to babywear then it would work out ok. Baby could sleep in the carrier and toddler in stroller. I have 8 kids so we have been through many options. Good luck hope you find something that works for your family. Just a quick tip go to the store and try out the strollers first. Fold it up see how heavy it is and just push it around. Also check out all the uses like seat recline. I was glad I did with a lot of strollers.

We have the Graco (think its sit-n-ride). Can put the older or younger near your or in the front. The car seat goes into either side as well

We LOVE our Kolcraft double stroller. He will not concert to a sit and stand though. BUT it does allow for a car seat adapter for infants and both seats can be moved to face forward or toward the person pushing the stroller. Also the storage underneath is great! The height of handle is perfect my me at 5'10"! My kids love it when they are facing each other!! It runs about $300 and is well worth it.
Our model is the Kolcraft Contours Options Aluminum Tandem Stroller

Oh and for snacks we bought a Velcro stroller snack attachment and it works great!

Good luck
