Hi All,
Does anyone have a good choice for a double stroller? I am hoping they make this type of stroller... One that can hold a baby car seat as well as holding a toddler?

Any info that anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a bunch,
Jessica

all I have to say is WOW... After looking at your avatar & siggy I am sure you know what your talking about! god bless u and ur family!!

I just came to the board to post the exact same question! Great minds, right. ;)

Does anyone have the Combi? I see such mixed reviews.

I tested out the Duo Glide at BRU and it was smooth, but I felt like I was pushing a tank. I guess all doubles are like that though.

LOL! I was just looking at the combi on BRU & on Target and I keep seeing more negative reviews then positive... We were planning a trip in Sept but now it has to be cancelled as the stork made a visit! :rotfl: I am so upset that I have to cancel... Funny thing was I was in BRU last week looking for a light weight stroller for my DS for WDW.

If nothing else is posted please pm me and let me know if you end up finding anything else out! Love to know ur choice. THx and good luck w/ shopping for one! :headache: :dance3:

I have a combi. I loves it, we even used it at Disney World. I also had a single and loves it too. I didn't like the front to back it was heavier to push, then the baby got older and started pulling her older sisters hair. Not fun

The only thing I worry about the side-to-side is that I feel like they take up so much space. Can you shop in department stores with them?

I've gone to the mall and stuff. Gymboree isn't the best, but I really didn't have issues. My problem now is my 2 yr old grabs everything of the shelve. But she does that in a single too.

I'm a bit of a stroller addict and am definitely not a fan of the duoglider. It does push like a tank in comparison to a lot of other strollers I've tried. AS far as Graco goes, I'd opt for the Quattro duo over the duoglider - easier push. Combi - I like full size strollers so I can't give any good advice on the umbrellas. I had a Combi as my first stroller and just felt it was lacking in so many features. Though looking back, I'm sure it was fine as an umbrella stroller.

I would personally pick a stroller that I like (whether or not it takes the car seat). AN infant is in it for such a short period of time, that the feature is useless after 6 months. I don't have any problems getting the SBS strollers through the malls and shopping. There's Baby jogger city series mini - it will take a car seat (have to buy an adapter for it), is light weight as far as doubles go, has good steering.

As far as closely spaced siblings go - for a mall stroller I love the Phil & Teds (that does take a car seat).

I also second the Phil & Teds E3. My older two are 15 months apart and I knew I would need a good double stroller but did not want one that was too wide or hard to push and we just loved our E3 and used it so much.

Now for our trip my older two will be 4&3 so I'm thinking of just getting this double maclaren from Albee when they come back in stock, because they are too big for the E3

I agree with MickeyMouseMomofSix. We have the Duo and I can steer it with one hand; plus, the infant seats easily clicks in/out. If you already have a Graco infant seat (we did) you might be able to use it in the stroller. That will save some money. It did for us!

I am also a fan of the Phil & Ted. We have had it for almost 2 years now and I have been very pleased with it. My boys are now 5 & 2 and they are both comfortable in it. They actually fight over who will sit in the bottom seat. LOL!

I am another one that is NOT a fan of the ever popular duoglide. I can't stand it actually. If you want one that holds an infant seat it is a good option. My friend has one. She has used it a few times at WDW. It can be a problem for naps because the front seat doesn't work well for it. Her older son kept falling a sleep at night and almost falling out of the stroller. His dad had to carry him often for that reason. :headache:

We have a peg pergo Aira twin and I really like it. It pushes great and for a side by side fits in most places fine. Shopping in department stores can be hard, but it can be with a front to back too because you can't turn around. Department stores with a double stroller is just hard no mater what.

At WDW it isn't a problem because everything is set up for wheelchairs. :thumbsup2 It is light and folds up well is comfortable for the kids and has trays that come off. It relcines well (also great for WDW) The canapy could be better, we often drapped a blanket over it if the baby was asleep. It has been to WDW 6 times now, 7 in May.

We have a single combi that has severed us well, but did not get the double because I felt I kicked the middle wheel too much. Other then that is is good.

Well I don't have a baby + toddler (different ages = different weights....), but I have twins and I can say that we loved our graco duoglider until the twins turned around age 2ish -- then it became too hard to maneuver. So at that age, we bought a dreamer double jogger and have loved it so, so much in Disney. Being a jogger, it can push the weight very easily. We are due for a new jogger, so I just ordered a baby jogger city series double. It has the new quick one-step fold system so we can load buses with it. I'm really excited to get it. My main objective in strollers is to find something that the kids are very comfortable in (padded, reclining seats & large individual canopies) plus something that we adults can easily maneuver. For us, the dreamer double jogger was wonderful and we're hoping the baby jogger city series will be great as well.
