Double Reward Dollars offer

And I have used it for absolutely everything, including a digital camera, 4 park hoppers for the GRANDS for our family trip, our son's tuition installment, every single grocery store and merchandise purchase, etc. etc. in an effort to run up disney dollars! We have run over $19,000 through the card on all sorts of stuff we would have paid cash for, charged on another card, or financed, and have $190 in Disney Dollars to pay for all our meals on our romantic getaway later this month! How cool is that? I just keep sending them checks or doing on-line payments whenever I have some cash that I would have been spending on stuff that I ended up putting on the card.

Another $50 offer here. I've nearly maxed out my Disney Visa a couple of times. I like the idea of purchasing some addon points using the card. I'll have to float that one past DW (although I know what her answer will be).

I'm tempted to purchase an AP voucher, but I'm not sure whether the extra $4 in Disney dollars is worth it seeing that I may not be using the voucher for several months.

I also wondered if the amt had something to do with your use of the card. However, what I read from Visa stated that it was done randomly.

They are probably test marketing various incentives or possibly are matching certain incentives with certain spending patterns.

Welcome to the digital age. One of the interesting consequences is that pricing can be segmented all kinds of different ways because of a combination of the data mining that is done and the flexibility electronic retailing has in custom pricing.

The incentives work in much the same way.

Quite often companies will give different offers to different subsets of customers to test which has the greatest response. It could be based on usage but it could also be random, by geography etc.

A good marketing tip for anyone who buys anything via a catalog on the phone....ALWAYS ask for the lowest available price since companies do the same things with catalogs. They send out the same exact ones with slightly different prices to see what will stick.

While we were all asleep in Economics class this was covered under Price Elasticity. How far or how elastic a price will stretch.

I didn't get any offer, and I've racked up 31 rewards. How come I didn't get one?

Since the double rewards program is not a DVC program, this thread may be of interest to those on the Budget Board and will be moved over there.

Mine was for $75. I don't use it very much and pay the balance monthly. Wonder if they took that into consideration....

an offer! Called and emailed and they just say "you are not eligible at this time for this promotion". Have close to $1,000 in park tickets to buy and would like to earn some reward points!

Kapp are you anywhere near Massachusetts? I'm wondering if it's regional.

Alabama. I did see the other day where someone didn't get the offer either and they were from Washington state. Very strange how they did this and not very good customer service. May have to ditch the ol' Disney Visa.

My offer is for $50, but I haven't taken advantage of it yet. We're going to WDW next Thursday - too bad it's not for purchases there! We're likely to charge quite a bit, even though we're staying on DVC points.

I've been thinking about going to the Disney Store and picking up some Disney Dollars on my card - has anyone verified if DD purchases are included in the promo? That'd be a great way to get double rewards for spending the same amount on our card we would at WDW anyway.

Thanks!
Mur!

Going to put my unhappiness in writing to Disney Visa for not being a part of this offer in anyway! Any bets on when and what type of response I will get?

**POUT** I did not get an offer either! I am in NY.
That really stinks!

Your DStore has antenna topers? Our didn't have a single one when I was in there last week.

Oh and I just opened my statement and got the offer for $50. For what good that does.

Mine was for $100, so I purchased one DC/AP for $377.01 that I was going to have to buy anyway in September 2003.

My offer was for $50, but we just got back from our trip, and I really don't need to buy anything just yet.

We charged almost everything on vacation to the card to try to earn those dollars!

Mine was for $75-I am not a DVC member. I got Disney Dollars for our upcoming trip since another thread said they were included.
