Double or Single Stroller?

We are leaving on Saturday for an 8 day WDW adventure  I am wondering which stroller I should bring for DS1 and DS3 (4 in august). DS3 wants to walk all the time now and if I have the double, DS1 sees DS3 get out and then HE wants out. If DS1 is in the single stroller he could care less that he is in and DS3 is out. We recently went to Sesame Place and DS3 didn't sit in the stroller once. Same thing when we went to the boardwalk for rides. Should I just bring the single and rent one if DS3 gets tired? Or will it be hard to find a rental stroller later in the day? thanks for the help!

It's been pretty crowded at the parks. A single stroller would be easier to cut through the crowds.

The first time we went to WDW my sons were 1 and 3. At that time my ds3 never rode in a stroller at home. But at WDW he did get tired and it was so much easier to get through the crowds with him in the stroller. The parks at WDW are so much bigger than other amusement parks. I vote for the double stroller. Plus you can put packages and your diaper bag in the extra seat if he is walking.

If you take the single stroller, you can always rent another stroller if you have to.

I know you'll have an awesome trip!! :wave2: My sons really felt the magic at that age!! :wizard:

I'm almost in the same boat as you. Mine are almost 2 and 3 & 1/2. Same thing goes. One out, the other wants out. Not fun.

What works for us are two umbrella strollers. We got the little clippy things that attaches at three points and converts them to a double stroller. I have a "true" double stroller and this is just easier for me (especially when I'm by myself). Then you still have the option of a single or double. The clippy things are easy enough to install and uninstall. But sturdy enough to be reliable for a double stroller effect.

I got mine at Babies R Us. It was around $7- $8 I think.

We plan to use them when we go to Disney. It's a lot of walking. Sometimes if I just say, "Rest a little bit, you don't have to be strapped in." (to the older one). He'll have a seat and be happy.

My "1" year old is actually 20 mos...almost 2 also. :p The problem we have with regular umbrella strollers is that they are too narrow for my big kids. DS20 mos is wearing 2 and 3 T clothes! He is a big boy and I feel terrible putting him in the reg. umbrella stroller. DS3 gets the same treatment...climb in and relax. I am just afraid with all of the excitement that I will be pushing an empty stroller.

If you're pushing an empty stroller, will your kids stay close to you? It can get pretty hectic and crowded at times, how will you keep the kids from wandering off when they see something that attracts them?

Thanks for the concern, Schmeck. DH, two of my brothers and my mom will all be there to lend a hand. I just would hate to bring it and have no one use it. I wish they would push ME around in it! :rotfl2:

It's nice that you have the extra eyes and hands for your trip! Have a great time!
