My DH wants to bring our double baby jogger for our dds (age 5 & 2). I think, while it's convenient for the girls, it's entirely too big for the buses. Any advice, suggestions, ideas? Thanks!:sad2:

Too big! Those buses are tight to begin with and unless he is Houdini and can fold that baby up into a smaller package I would say don't do it! To take the bus(which we don't anymore after the stroller fiasco of '00) you have to be QUICK with the folding. and you have to be able to get it up those stairs.
Now all that is being said during busy times. I guess if you were going when it isn't busy(when is that by the way?) you could do it but I WOULDN"T
Wooo I see you are going summer- definatly NO!

We have done the double jogger twice while at Disney. Both times were in the slower seasons (once in Jan and once in September). I would not do it during busy times. My husband had it down pretty quickly. I was in charge of both kids. He took the back wheels off and folded it up and stapped it closed real quick, and we hopped on the bus. It does take up a lot of room (even folded-which it has to be) on the bus. And was a pain when the bus was full in the evenings (which is why we would never do it during busier times when the bus would be even more crowded). We did buy and take a rain cover for it. The only real problem we ran into was leaving Illuminations one night when both kids fell asleep. I couldn't hold both of them! Luckily there was a man who saw our dilemma (we tried waking the kids- they were OUT!) and offered to carry our stroller on for us!

Hope this helps!

nah way to tight...we have a double also and theres no way i would have been able to see that thing on the bus..we brought our umbrella strollers and that worked just right!

How about bringing an umbrella stroller for the little one, and just renting a stroller when needed for the 5 yr old? My DD was 5 on our first trip, and she walked the whole 4 days we were there. If we were there for a longer trip, I would have thought about getting her a stroller at EPCOT though.

Nope I would not bring a double jogger stroller. Better off bringin 2 umbrealla strollers. That is what I am planning to do. During the day I will bring one stroller and the 2 kids can take turns.. if needed. Then I plan on bringing both umbrella strollers for any evenings we are out, in case it is late and both kids could snooze a bit

I like the idea of two umbrellas. I just worry they won't hold my DD. She's very tall for her age. But I like the suggestion of her walking during the day and resorting to the umbrella at night if she's tired. She'd never make it to the back of Epcot! Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. :thumbsup2 :cool1:
