Double FP for resort guests with seperate tickets.

Thank you Dizneefamily+4, that solves some of the puzzle. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip :wizard:

That is good info- and goes back to what I suspected. The KTTW cards have all been activated to operate like magic bands. Pretty much had the same experience with charging and the pin using our KTTW cards as the blog post states.

I knew double dipping would be a temporary loophole!

Forgive me if thsi has been stated already..I didn't read through all of the posts.

We are going through 3D Travel and have free dining which I think means all of our tickets, room, everything is linked. Which would mean we can't take advantage of the 2 fastpasses thing, right? Is there a way I could change that?

Excellent info. Thank you. So, the double dip will happen then until old Fastpass is gone.

I would think as part of a package that it would all be combined. Not sure how to "undo" that...

Do you know what is and is not working for double dipping?

KTTW keys that are just room keys- but appears to be only the new RFID ones because they have been activated to parallel the magic band use. The glitch must be that they have been programmed to do this without an actual ticket attached? I am not sure anything else is working for it. You need the room key and the separate ticket or AP to get both.

I had just about decided to put our tickets on our room keys when we go in August, now after reading this thread I am back to keeping them separate. My DD and her boyfriend will only have 2.5 days there, if we can pull a few extra fast passes, we will take advantage. I learn so much on the DIS!

If anyone has done multiple trips with KTTW cards with RFID that used to have park tickets on them (but you used them all), back in June, I was able to get FP all on the same day in the same park using

1) AP
2) KTTW card (actually had two KTTW cards for this trip because we did a split stay)
3) Old KTTW card from earlier this year that my parents had used and had park tickets on it

Essentially I could get an unlimited amount of FPs (granted I didn't take full advantage of it because we were mainly on a World Showcase Drinking Around the World and Jellyrolls type of trip)

Despite these loopholes, a KTTW card with tickets that had not been activated and an AP that had not been activated in the park (not used at the turnstiles) did not work

We just spent a very successful week at WDW using our room keys and separate tickets to get FPs for everything we wanted to ride. Had to talk my husband out of combining his ticket onto his room key, but after we rode all 3 mountains in less than an hour and a half at MK, he was happy to have the two pieces of plastic in his wallet.

Told lots of other guests about the glitch, and they were appreciative of the info!

So the tickets and room keys are not linked together in the FP system? You can get an FP with one and then get another FP at a different attraction right away with the other without the '2 hour or after your FP time' wait time?

I sure hope this works for us in 1 week when we'll be there!!!!

Only if you don't have them on the same card- they cannot be combined on a KTTW card, for example. You need two separate pieces of plastic.

Just got back from a 9 day trip. We were able to use our room keys , our annual passes, our room keys from our trip last summer (for some reason I was still carrying the ones with our kids names on them), and an Ohio driver's license to get FPs. A Bellagio room key from 2006 that found in my briefcase did not work.

But to be clear, all of the above worked at the same time. For 5 of us, I was able to get 14 FPs per trip (I only had 3 last year room keys with me). Note also, that the last year room keys were keys only--no tickets. We were on APs for that trip as well.

Interesting about the drivers licenses was that we could only have 1 combined FP active with them. That is, if I used mine first, Mrs. Corndog's DL would not work. If I used hers first, mine would not work.

We'll be there next week so I hope this works for us too. This may be a silly question but I'll ask anyway ... we'll be using our AP's and have a split stay between two resorts. I've added the resort reservations to my disney experience but I decided not to link our AP's on there because I've been reading of some people having problems after linking. Would I have to add the AP's to get the double fastpasses? Is there any advantage at all to linking passes on MDE?

No need to link - we did not use MDE on our trip, and we were able to get double FPs.

We found that getting more than 2 attractions' worth of FPs made it very hard to criss-cross around to make the expiring time on the 3rd FP. Not sure why the parks were pretty quiet last week, but FP times were all about the same, except for the usual attractions that run out quickly. CMs were letting us in a few minutes early, but were stopping people who came after their FP expired.

you should have tried sticking in a piece of shrimp from Columbia Harbor House, I heard you can get unlimited FP.
