So, my boyfriend was a little tempted to skip Parrot Cay on our cruise to eat at Palo instead. Somewhere in an old DIS line, I read about "double dipping" for dinner....eating at Palo at one time, and still go to your regular rotation for dinner. Now, before everyone thinks that we're little piggies ;), keep in mind that DB has never, ever been on a cruise...so, he was a little disappointed that he may have missed a dinner.

My question is, what would be the best time to make a Palo reservation? We have the late dinining rotation...and which night should we do it? AP/PC/Tritions?

The last time I was on a Disney Cruise my BF at the time HATED the food, so we had room service every night :( (CRAZY, I KNOW!)So, in a way, this is kinda like my first Disney Cruise all over again.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated :) Thanking you much! :)

Our tip: have champagne Brunch in Palos at 10.30: that way, you get up late, have Brunch, have lunch in other restaurants, pizza, burgers and ice-cream all day, and still be ready for second sitting in rotation dining! (No view of ocean at dinner in Palos:its DARK!)After all that, you will need antacid tablets! Hehe. Have fun!

Is there a brunch on the 3 day cruise? That's the trip we're taking....

There is no brunch on the 3 day cruise.

Personally, my least favorite meal is animator's palate, but you really should see the show, so that's the one I'd choose to "double dip." We always get late seating and I would get the first available Palo seating (I think 5pm?). You SHOULD be done in time to catch the 6:30 show and then go to your regular dinner. Do you want to make sure you can see the shows, too? If the shows are more important than restaurants you might want to choose by which show you will miss. If the first seating available time at Palo is 6 you will miss one of the shows but you still have time to make it to your regular dinner seating.

Hi Stepharoonie!.

The last time I was on a Disney Cruise my BF at the time HATED the food, so we had room service every night (CRAZY, I KNOW!)So, in a way, this is kinda like my first Disney Cruise all over again.

Since you missed the restaurants first time around, why not just try your regular rotational dining schedule on this cruise? Then you could reserve Palo next time...

(By the way, a very good way to judge boyfriends - if they don't love DCL it just isn't a match made in heavenly mousedom... lol).
