"Double Dipping Castaways" September 26, 2014, 5 nights on the Wonder

Hello all!
I was just wondering if we, (the Stuller Family), are still on the FE list - we were receiving updates via e-mail once a month. (We are not anymore) I haven't checked the Dis boards in a while; however, I requested to join the Facebook group today. I think we joined the FE list last September.
Thanks! :)
Chuck (43), Lisa (40 - just turned!), Will (turned 8 beg. of May), Elisabeth (turned 4 beg. of May)

I used to do the FE list, but that was turned over to someone else since we switched cruises. Your best best is to go on the FB page and check on it. I don't think she uses the Disboard much.

But let me say this just so you are aware!
Although I have a nice time on Castaway Cay, and so many passenger seem to be elated about the island, I am not.

I have been to other ships private islands that would blow CC out of the water!

We have now been to CC 3 times in 5 sailings.

Of course the fist time is very cool, to see all the little things Disney does well. But Disney has not done a great job in the water....Yes they have the Mickey and sunken ship underneath the water, but it isn't beautiful! When I snorkel I want beautiful! Also it was very far out to see, if you are not a REALLY GRAT swimmer it is tiring. The first time I went I was with 2 younger girls who I had to help pull back to the shore when we were done. And I am not a great swimmer myself. We did a lot of back floating to rest on the way back too.

The 2nd time we went to CC, we made sure to do a lot of excursions to keep us busy that day. We did the Jet ski tour and the Parasailing and rented one of the cottages (not worth the $).

The food is so so on the island but it is better in the Adult only area of island.

I cant speak for the Adult only are to much we did go take a walkover there, wised we had planned to spend the day, but wherewith friends with kids, which we wanted to be with.

I guess it is just personal preference. We did nothing all day but lounge and take a dip in the water. For us, that is paradise. Even better is that we do not have to worry about our children or belongings near as much as if we went to a public beach in Nassau. Again paradise for us. My wife and I also found the ribeyes on the adult beach to be excellent, better than many at steakhouses. Other food items were excellent, too. Again it is all in perspective and what others enjoy.

We will be on the cruise as well. Myself, wife, Daughter 8, Son 7, Daughter almost 5, and SIL who is OLD! Just kidding. Would like to be added to thread. Just FYI, we are 120 day bookers and wanted to let you know (for those that are 90 day bookers) There are 4 family cabanas and 1 adult cabana still avialable for CC Day 1 and only 1 cabana on CC Day 2

Welcome! The group here on Disboards is pretty quiet, most of the activity is on the fb group. Just search for disney wonder September 26, 2014. The FE groups are still open, we're now on group 3

Hi all! Getting excited to be seeing everyone in September! I just found out about all of this and requested to be added to the facebook page but haven't received a response, hoping that it's not too late to join a FE group. It's our first cruise as a family ever and I'd love to make it as special as I can for my DS and :lovestruc Thanks for all the help and can't wait to meet you all!

Hi Everyone!

I'm joining the thread! Our family is booked in 2 staterooms (5508 and 5509)! I will try to find the FB group and join that as well!

Hi everyone! We are so excited to have contacted you all through FB and have registered for Fish Extenders.

For those who are looking to join FE...Once you have connected (through FB), Pam will then request all your information that is needed to register, then she will keep you updated as needed. I believe she has just started a 4th group. We are so excited!

Hi, i just registered on this forum. I'm taking this cruise in sept (will only be my 2nd Disney cruise). My friend put in a request on my behalf on FB for the FE page. Do i just wait to get contacted? I'm pretty excited to join.
Thanks for your help

Hi! I just found this cruise board and sent a request to join the Fb group. I don't know if we are too late for the FE or not. We'll be traveling with our new baby (6-months by the cruise) and his grandparents, so I have been remiss in planning.
Does anyone know what the dining rotations are for this cruise, and what the nights are? I assume no formal night (with no sea day), but maybe there is a semi-formal night at some point? I also thinking that with pirate night on Day 4, Day 5 must be the non-rotational menu and will be something like Till We Meet again? At some point close to the cruise date, you can call Disney and ask what they think they will have (obviously all subject to change), but usually they will tell you. Since this is a unique itinerary, it's not easy to just go from previous cruises. If anyone has any info, please share! Hopefully I'll see you on the Fb page soon!
