I just saw someone mention they priced out a DCL Alaska cruise and it had gone down substantially since opening day. Well I priced out my July 9 CC double dip an it has gone up $400! I guess it was worth checking. I am actively shopping to replace my 4 day Dream in March with something cheaper, but I'm holding on the the double dip!

We booked a 5 day double dip on opening day, the 2 June sailing. I discovered that I could do a 3&4 night in March b2b on the Wonder for about $250 less. This was in an ocean view room for all cruises. We decided to swap to the back to back. I know March is probably normally cheaper than summer, but it was spring break for us and worked well with the schedule. 7 days instead of 5 and we still get 2 days at CC!

The double dips do seem very overpriced. I normally wouldn't sail during the summer, but those were my only choices, so I booked one of them. I, too, am thinking about doing a back to back instead. I'm waiting for fall 2017 to come out before I change. I actually wanted a fall double dip, but booked June since I didn't know if there would be one in the fall.

ETA: I don't like Nassau, so the back to back would create a lot of ship days for me.
