Hi everyone,

I would love to join your group. We just returned from the 9/15 eastern (our first cruise) and it was just so wonderful that we had to re-book. So here we are

We were in a cat 4 on the 9/15 with me, dh and 2 DD's.

THis time we decided to bring my mom along to have someone be with the girls at night while they slept so DH and I could have a little more fun. So, we have connecting rooms in Cat 9 deck 2.

I cant believe that we are paying less to have 2 rooms while adding a person too

Love the logo guys!! Great job. Im going to add it to my sig next

Just for fun, I like to decorate cakes. So I've been up tonight making a baby shower cake to take to work tomorrow...which is now officially today. <ugh!> So I thought I would share a pic of it with ya.

Oh...and don't read the following if you are hungry or on a diet!

The bottom double layer is french vanilla with a raspberry filling. The top "tub" is a pineapple cake with pistachio pudding. Each is frosted with an almond (non-butter) buttercream with a hint of vanilla. I made the "ring-around-the-ducks" at the bottom with yellow tinted white chocolate in candy molds. I'm too tired to deal with coloring their beaks and eyes....oh well!

This is the first time I've tried the pineapple/pistachio flavor, and it's DELICIOUS!! Last night my friend had some of the extra cake that I baked in that flavor, and he came over tonight to have more. We've been eating it without any frosting....it's just THAT good! I highly recommend giving it a try.

What a cute cake, Kimberly! I like to decorate cakes, too - although I have never been that good at it.

Okay, I have some bad news - just when we get to the 1 yr mark, we may not be going Our youngest DS, Mark and his wife Lindsay will be working on their Masters in education middle school history and math respectively. Anyway, they just finished registering and speaking with their program director today - he told them although he loves a Disney cruise, they should not go, as it will be the 1st week of classes and the required 8 hours of student teaching besides.

So, we either have to go without them, which I don't like, as it was a "family togetherness cruise" planned by our oldest, Ryan, and we are really in need of this family time.

Or, we need to pick a date in June for the Mexican Riveria- which is now almost 3 times the price We don't have that kind of budget.

Our other option is to go on a 4 day in June, and do a 3 day at SSR with points. That was our original plan, anyway, and then it seemed like a 7 day was such a better value, and 3 days in the parks seems hard to do with 2 babies and a toddler.

That being said, we may have a vacancy in 6080. Erica, of course you will have first right of refusal . I'll keep you posted.

Kimberly I love your cake! I'm hiring you to make DH's Birthday cake. Do you think you can use the Galley? (His birthday is Oct 4 - the last day of the cruise) And I believe I remember Kimberly saying that was her Birthday too?

Magicfor2 - Bummer about the conflict!! Let us know what you decide. I sure hope the family that books 6080 (If you decide not to go) will be as open to hosting the Party Room as you have been!

I'm up trying to play Tooth Fairy, but I can't find his teeth! I've typed up a letter to put under his pillow to tell him that The Tooth Fairy could not find his teeth and to try again tomorrow.

I am very excited this morning just signed my daughter up to do a music video for a children"s group called splashnboots. they are only taking 20 people so i will let you know if she gets in (might be a nice gift for those fish extenders) okay so i'm a proud mama.

We have Erik's fantastic logo and now we are at the one year mark. You would think that I would be excited today, but I'm having trouble. There is no one here for me to get excited with.

Tomorrow is our 11th anniversary, I am now starting to second guess myself and tell my wife tomorrow that for our next anniversary we will be celebrating at sea. I don't know, I was planning on keeping the cruise secret until July.

Someone needs to talk me down...I have kept it secret for almost 9 months, surely I can do another 10, right?

ilovemangoes--on the transatlantic repo we had someone who did not tell his wife or DD13 about the trip until about 2 weeks before (at some point he had told them there was a trip but still didn't say what it was until very close). It was fun for us to hear all about the surprise when he did finally reveal it. So, if you want to wait until July just share your excitement with us in the meantime Then again, I think it would be nice to tell her on this anniversary for next anniversary as well

Erik, let us know about the shirts. Here's soem pixie dust to help it go well. IF we do have to change the design, I was thinking we could leave evrything else the same and just change from a mickey head shape to a portal window? Hopefully we will not even get to that point though (where's the crossed fingers smilie?)

I think my post about Grady's appointment got lost somewhere in all the posts yesterday! We were a chatty group. I left to do something and when I came back there were 4 pages to catch up on!

Grady did great - Much better than I did! He is off to school today! He didn't even see the note from the Tooth Fairy this morning, so I'm going to try to find the teeth and leave some $ for him to find when he gets home. He sleeps in a loft bed that is 5 feet off the floor and trying to sneak teeth out and $ in has always been a challenge. I need to find some other way of doing the whole Tooth Fairy thing before he loses any more teeth.

Great idea! I have been trying to come up with something good. Perhaps I can look for something fun on our trip to give him. Now we have an excuse to visit the Pirate Museum in Nassau.

Well, I just realized what time it is. I have 5 minutes to shower and get Megan to school before they lock the doors!

no, we didnt make any meets
It was our first cruise with two little ones and we just so caught up in the moment and checking everything out. Im very anal about things, so I had my list of things to do and when I saw the room and ALL MY LUGGAGE I almost had a panic attack. It all fit as well as two single strollers!!
I am going to make it a point to frequent the boards and participate in group meets. It wil also be easier this time since Im bringing mom along

Thanks for all the welcomes. I still cant believe we have to wait a year. Actually, some of you have been waiting much longer. We booked our last cruise like 7 months out with two visits to WDW in between, so it wasn't that bad.

We moved to South Florida(from MA) a little over a year ago and let me tell you....being so close to Disney & Port Canaveral makes us feel like we have to soak it all up. We dont plan on being here long term so we are getting it all in now. Ok, im sure you really dont need to know all this info
