Have any of you ever stayed there or are any of you planning on staying there before the cruise? We plan on flying in on Thursday and I thought it might be fun to stay somewhere like this with a waterslide, lazy river and other activities (a little mini-vacation before the real vacation).

Any comments or opinions??

We were looking at this place too. I went to the website and it looks pretty good. I like the part about being close to the beach. Grady will be 8 and I think he would get a kick out of the surf stuff. We are also looking at the Radison. I think they have a good pool, but they are not as close to the beach. We are thinking of coming in on Thursday too.

Doug looked at the logo's today and wants to put his vote in for #4 also.

I was at Target earlier this week (looking for Ginger Chews) and found a light up Lounge sign for 6080!

This even has an on and off button for the light, so we will all know when the lounge is open!

Just stopping in to give a quick wave and hello to everyone!

I've been MIA for a while, it's been a really tough couple of months down here. However, I'm thrilled to be back....though I will never be able to catch up on all the posts I've missed.

We spontaneously booked a three nighter on the Wonder to hold us over til next year. The FL resident rates were awesome, and we splurged on a category 5 verandah room! I don't know how we'll be able to go back to a cat 10 for the double dip.......we may visit the reservations desk to see what kind of upgrades we can get..... We leave on Oct. 4th so I have an awful lot to do in the next couple of weeks.....! Yikes

Erik, nice job on the logos!!!! I love # 4, and #7 also.

It feels good to be back! I missed you all!!

There is one, but it just started last week or so on the Cruise Line Forum and was moved to the Meets Forum. It's not near as busy as this group, I think I found it on page 3 last time I looked.

This trip "was" a suprise for Doug, but the UPS man wasn't in on the secret and left our cruise docs on the front porch and guess who found them?

We have been having fun the last few days talking about the trip and he is excited about it too. We do still have to keep our destination a secret from the kids or they won't let us out of the house Wednesday evening.

Well I have to say that now that a number of other votes have come in the tally is this:

#1---5 votes
#2---7 votes
#4---23 votes
#7---1 vote (although I think at least one or two other people indicated this would qualify as their second choice).

My inclination at this point, in order to get a decision made in time to make final versions in a couple usable sizes for our one year deadline, is to just call the contest with version #4 as the clear winner. However, I won't do that without any warning or notice.....

SO CONSIDER THIS WARNING & NOTICE!!!!



If you have not yet voted for a favorite logo and want to....please do so by posting here or PMing me by no later than 11:59 pm Sunday night, Sept. 23rd (tomorrow!!). That way on Monday morning when I wake up and check the boards all the votes will be in to tally, I can call a winner, and make any small changes necessary to have it up and ready. Once we choose the winner I will create a large size image with no nametag at the bottom. This will be to submit to cafepress for shirts and souvenirs. I will create a small version WITH a space for names...this will be for my use to create the lanyard nametags. i will also create a smaller version as a jpg that can be loaded as a picture in people's signatures. Once they're all done I will post them all here so people can take them and save them to use any way they like. We will then also need to discuss who wan't to create the cafepress store and what we want to put in it as options to buy. (I am willing to do this, but I think someone else said they have experience with creating a store...which i do not....so that expertise might be helpful)


Just as an FYI, Chris (Scoobypop) has been very hectic lately and not able to post but he has been reading (he says hello) but he's also been shooting me some ideas to spice up the final draft. One suggestion he offered that I like is to make the "Double Dip Delight" font more interesting by making it not just plain white lettering but giving it a background that coordinates in color...or maybe even creating it so that the letters themselves have a similar pirate ship background as the mickey head. He's sent me a couple quickie versions and, while I haven't had a chance to add them to the logo itself yet b/c it's at work I'm off for the weekend, I think they might look very cool and just add a slightly spiffed up/more sophisticated look...as well as make the cruise "title" stand out more. So I may be posting that on Monday to see if people like it or not.

Just a bump. I have a cold and can't breath so sleep just isn't in the cards right now. Maybe a little bit latter. Think I got infected on the Magic right before the cruise came to an end. As long as it did not effect my cruise I am happy.

HMM just checked out the website for it! seems cute! Would love to hear any feedback on it... Have you posted on the main cruise thread forum. ? THat may get a bit more feedback!

Yep! For our cruise in 370 days!!

The total number of people going with us is still actually up in the air, so planning that we may need more space/rooms, I've booked Country Inn & Suites. That's the contingency plan. Otherwise, my ressie is at Radisson. So as soon as all the plans are solidified, I'll cancel one of them.

One note to pass along to AAA members....the Radisson mentioned that the AAA rates have not been published yet, so they said we could check back later and they would make an adjustment if the price would indeed change to reflect a AAA rate.

I just have to share this chuckle... Fiona has seen other people stick things behind their ears, and she just HAS to have this RIGHT NOW. I tried explaining how her ear is too tiny to hold onto things, but she isn't listening. I must have put her marker behind her ear 15 times in the last 5 minutes. What a cutie!

Oh, and Buckeye Gal, I managed to get the bag of rice away from Fiona and back in its container before she decorated with it. I actually caught a break, because the bag of rice was still closed!

It's been a long day. DH finally figured out how he had broken our DNS a little while ago. But until the end, he was protesting his innocence.
