So, I was messing around on allearnet.com this morning. I noticed Deb has a (not yet funtioning) link on the side (while reading her med tips just for kicks) for a "September 2008 Double Dip" OMG, do you think we are sailing with Deb?!?!? It would be weird to meet her after all of these years of reading her site.

That would be a treat for some. Unfortunately, I read the following on her site that confirms she won't be with us:

September 2008

Cruise with Steve Barrett (Mr. Hidden Mickeys) and Deb Wills (AllEarsNet) --
on a special 5 night Disney Magic Cruise that includes 2 stops at Castway Cay! Special events each day!

:thumbsup2 Thanks KImberly. I played around soem more and was just comming over to post the same thing. 5 nights is just not long enough. Oh well, many of our friends from the med repo will be on that one so they'll get to cruise with her, and I get to cruise wit hall of you awesome people instead:grouphug:

Checking in -

Kim, thanks for mentioning that here! I might end up going with the binder option so that I can update with the refills. I'll check it out this weekend.

Still not getting my email updates, maybe the DIS is on strike or something.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I had family in town, and we all went to Sea World yesterday on a miserably hot day. We still had fun though. Haven't been there since I worked there, which was oh......15 years ago? It really has changed.

Today is a rest and relaxation day. Enjoy it everyone! :goodvibes

Hi everybody,

we just booked our third cruise! :thumbsup2

We got room 6006.

And we are accompanied by Steffis parents. For them it is their first cruise. They are booked in cat.12 (they don't care about inside, outside etc.). I just learned from our TA that cat.12 is GTY, so they get their stateroom at checkin and that means, that they can get every room. Well, we hope for Walts suite!

Greetings from Germany.

Oliver+Stefanie

A short "HI" from me too, you guys.

Looking forward to Sept. 2008.

It's still suuuuch a long time, but we all try to make it short, ok :hippie:

It's gonna be SO MUCH fun.

Have a great start of the week.

Steffi (from Germany)

Greetings and welcome aboard, Oliver and Steffi!! That's great news!!! :woohoo: We're a fun bunch, if I do say so myself! Glad to have you with us!!

I'll get you and Steffi's parents added to the rollcall list!

Erik--I think we will wait for MNSSHP until next year so we can go with friends. I had hope you and Jason would be in on that BUT planning to go to a late party the nigtht before the cruise obviously comes from someone without kids:rotfl2: Besides, aren't we all doing a grand gathering that evening????? Now, should you wish to go any other night that we are there:rolleyes1
Most likely that will be the only party most of us can attend. If the dates follow the same pattern as the past couple of years there will only be parties on Fridays at that point, so unless someone is staying more than a week they will only have the one night to do MNSSHP. I didn't even think about it. We'll have to do that one since I don't think we can do more than a week at WDW prior to the cruise. Staying out late the night before isn't a problem for us, my kids are night owls anyway. I'll have to find out the GG availability, it's possible that there wouldn't be anything available that night anyway. I don't think they do the Fireworks Voyage on MNSSHP nights, and as for the Illuminations reception, it's probably an evening EMH for Epcot, so not a good night for that if it's even offered. I guess we'll have to wait and see?

Thank you for the information. If it is the only night it is offered that week we will be there. For some reason I was thinking it was generally offered 2-3 nights a week, but I obviously don't really know:rotfl: My kids are pretty night owlish also (especially on the cruise), but I am always so paranoid that they will get really overtired and then get sick and we'll be denied boarding (never happened--I am just so terrified of that whole denied boarding possiblity:eek: ) We willl not be staying more than one week at WDW either (probably arriving the Saturday the week before the cruise).

Welcome Oliver and Stefanie. My husband works in Germany fairly often (generally in the Wienhiem area). Are you anywhere near there (I know it is a pretty big country)?

Kimberly--thank you for the fun stats:thumbsup2

They do have the parties 3 nights per week in October, so you were sort of right, LOL. ;)

Luvalldisney and I got back this morning from a 3 night Disney cruise on the Wonder. Below are some pics of the Kids (Pal and Minn). To see more pics from the cruise visit my online photo album, link in signature.

thanks. I had a great time eating, napping, eating, napping, LOL.

weather on CC was best possible.

I did manage to snorkel and actual swim at CC. In the water my legs were like weightless and I actually kicked a few times. I know may not sound much but for me to move my legs even to kick in water a few times is wonderful. Just more of the disney magic touched me this trip :goodvibes

Our little three-day is coming up in a few months, and I can't wait. It's nice to have a little something to tie you over, even if it's brief!

The "kids" look great, too ;)

Just so everyone knows...Hadley and I have definitely started putting our thinking caps on about the lanyards and name badges! :thumbsup2 I know it's still over a year away, but it's never too early to think!

*chuckle* Thank you! I know what you mean about some days being better than others, though.... Wooweee! Sometimes I need a vacation FROM my vacation!

DH -hates- to go on vacation, but he loves being on one, he says. I guess I just have to tell him where to be when, and not tell him how much things will cost! *argh*

*wave*
Brandie

My DH is a homebody at heart - but he loves to go Disney! He was okay with my planning, until we tried to execute the plans :lmao: Next time, less planning, I promise!

Hi All,

It has been a busy weekend. Friday the kids and I took advantage of the cool temps (low sixties for highs) and on again/off again rain to visit Storyland with no corwds. One thing I love about my kids is they were raised on Disney World and yet can still enjoy a simple little park like this (though it is clean and has a really nice staff--they hated Six Flags in Denver which was"icky" and staffed by "kinda mean people"). The park began in the 50s and still has some origianl play areas (Old Woman's Shoe, Peter Pumpkin Eater's House, etc.). Very nostalgic and sweet. Also, the prices are almost staright out of the 50s. I put a $20 in my wallet for food and came home with $6.00 in change (we had grilled cheeses and hot dogs with chips and drinks for lunch, shared popcorn, shared fried dough and all had sno cones). Yeah, we were the crazies with sno cones on a breezy 60 degree afternoon!:lmao: Had the sno cones, rode the flume ride and the river raft ride as our last three things and then jumped in the car, soaking wet and shivering and ran that heater. TOTALLY fun.

Yesterday we hiked/walked around Flume Gorge with our friends. It is lovely. So nice to live in a palce like this.

Today Marika's karate school has a picnic so we are about to head off again. No wonder I can't keep up with the laundry:lmao:

Erica--I stopped getting email updates from the DIS sometime yesterday:scared: Something strange is afoote at the Circle DIS

Okay, I gotta make s'mores bars for the picnic (taking them there so I only get one; thinking PINK). Have a good Sunday all.

Sounds like a great little park - how fun! Smores! Could you share the recipe? We are camped for the Summer out by the lake - commuting or spending time on weekends - anyway, would love to bring Smores bars out there!

Just so everyone knows...Hadley and I have definitely started putting our thinking caps on about the lanyards and name badges! :thumbsup2 I know it's still over a year away, but it's never too early to think!

Very cool!!! I completely agree...it is NEVER too early! I was doing some research of my own for a brief moment last night. I was Google-ing for one of my fish extender gifts to put in all of your little FEs! :fish:

Looking forward to having that lanyard in my hand! Thanks so much for working on those for us!!
