WOOOOHOOOO, Dressing alike families ROCK!!!!! We did the Halloween Party in October and 12 of us wore Incredibles T shirts, we looked awesome. In AK 8 of us wore turquoise Disny T shirts, its so much fun and pics look great! I figure eventually my kids will refuse so I take advantage of it while I can.

Oh - I'm so glad we are not going to be the only ones! I love dressing us up alike. I'm even trying to coordinate our Formal Night outfits. I made matching sweat shirts for our MVMCP last Dec, but it was too warm to wear them.:sad1:

I'm thinking of coming up with matching Pirate Party outfits, but DD want's to wear a dress. She's such a girl!princess:

You tell him, I said I dare him to wear it that way. No wait, I can see DH following suit. However, I don't think there will EVER be enough time for my DH to grow his hair out that much - unless he grows it off the back that is!

Oh Cindifan - I think we should just keep this information to ourselves. I have a feeling our DH's are going to get themselves into enough trouble without us giving them ideas! :confused3

Thanks for the info, Hadley. I thought that was the deal w/the dress code for the guys, but got confused.

We'll see how DD does w/the kids club. It will help that someone she knows already will be there too.

Rhonda.

I was checking out the website for the Chacchoben tour guides, David and Ivan, that I read so many great reviews about. I wanted to compare the Chacchoben ruins to the Kohunlich ruins NHdisneylover so kindly posted a wonderful review of.

It seems that David and Ivan do Kohunlich tours also. For anyone who was interested in comparing the two like I was, it's a 50 minute ride to Chacchoben, 2 hours to Kohunlich. I don't recall who NHdisneylover booked through, but their Kohunlich tour costs $60 per person, and includes bottled water at the beginning, beer and soda at the end, and they have bug spray. The Chacchoben tour is $43 per person alone, $70 per person if combined with a visit to Seven Color Lagoon, or $68 per person if combined with a visit to Chacchoben Village, interaction with a Mayan family at their home and lunch consisting of prehispanic dishes.

I'm not recommending any of this, I've never done it. Just throwing the information out there for anyone who might be interested. I've seen great reviews of these guys on the DIS and on Cruise Critic. Anyone here toured with them before? If so I'd be interested in hearing how it went and what you thought. :goodvibes

Hello everybody - sorry haven't been on for a couple of days. Still trying to get rid of my "Magic cough" from the cruise. We would love to do the "tie" night. Darrell is all for it, even though he wears ties to work and hates it! Welcome to the lurkers and it is a fun thread! Abby loves the Lab, loves free time, but does not like the big groups of kids. She likes to find a friend or two. Unfortunately anything after 9 she loves and stays till midnight! She has more energy then us. We have had Rachel on the last 3 cruises and love her! I hope she is our Cruise Director. Hadley, she was there when we got off the ship at 8 and she was talking and laughing with all of us. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Buckeye Gal, I am still trying to get the picture to you. Hope you had a great trip last weekend.:)

Thank you! I did have a good time.

Speaking of database and picture updates for the web....I did get an email from Marsha (Brady961) this evening. She's been really consumed with work, traveling, and preparing for her cruise in 10 days. :) So she hasn't had a chance to apply the updates I have sent her to the web. There are MANY (yeah!!) changes to our Cast Roll Call list since it was first posted, too! So keep the updates coming in, and we'll get them out there for you all to see soon! I assured her that there are no worries...we have plenty of time!

If you would like to see some current updates to our stats, take a look at post #577 (link is in my signtaure block). Amazing numbers!!! Erica is right! We *ARE* taking over the ship!!

Catecrew--Love the photo! Is that their "Test Track"? We really enjoy Legoland, but living on the wrong coast we haven't been there since Easter Sunday 2004, so things are a bit cloudy in my mind. Please tell your little one Happy Birthday from us:bday:

Sorry so long for the response, I was in Sacramento area this weekend for my best friend's daughter's high school graduation. (I am still trying to talk them into going on this cruise with all of us).

Yes it was the "Test Track". I like Legoland fine, but we don't go very often either & we only live 40 mins away. The last time we went was for my middle son's 4th or 5th bday & that was 2003 or 2004. It's just not the same as Disneyland.

Speaking of Disneyland. My family and I are going to do a 1yr kickoff to the cruise on Sept 27 this year. We are going to stay at the Disneyland Hotel for 2 days & get a 3 day parkhopper pass. They have a pretty good package going on right now so that should be fun.

Hey we are moving too. We bought land, I designed the house and we had plans drawn. It has been several months in the making but I think this is the end. Today is more tile, rock front, STO (which is like colored stucco so we never have to paint the outside)! Our projected move in is July 1. Let me tell you, I can not wait to be done with this project, my DH is a bear right now. It is going to be great when it is done!

Ugh, I *WISH* I could move.

Anybody want to buy a house? Nice contemporary 3/2/2 screened in pool, only 1 1/2 hrs from the port;) :thumbsup2

My air isn't working right and its been a very humid 90 degrees and up the last week or so. :headache: It's miserable. And it's recital week....AND someone, I won't mention who (coughDHcoughcough)..thought it would be a good idea to let the kids have a sleepover with their 6 & 7 yr old friends this weekend.....:sad2:

OOhhhhh no! Sounds like someone...(coughroncoughcough) will be doing the outdoor grilling for hotdogs and pancakes since it would be wayyy too hot for mom to cook in the kitchen! Ummm....will he be sleeping in the stuffy attic, too? ;) The lounge chair with the wind in his hair sounds a bit too comfortable. (j/k!)

This is our first house and let me tell you.....I had no idea there were even THIS MANY THINGS THAT COULD BREAK. We've already redone the plumbing, fixed the AC twice and the dishwasher once, and now the spring that winds the garage door up and down broke. We've only been here for a year and a half! Haven't had a chance to call the warranty company yet to find out if that is covered, but I'm guessing it isn't.

On the way home from the grocery store today, it started pouring. I looked at Lionel and said "we have to run all of this stuff up to the front door!" We were both like :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

It's funny how easily you get spoiled by a garage. And just think - we used to live in a third floor apartment where you were lucky to get a spot under the carport!

Good Day all. I'm checking in (been a busy couple o days).

Congrats to all the movers. I know it is a lot of work, but it is always so exciting also (I say that having lived in 5 states and 6 houses in the past 11 years--plus long term stints in 3 hotels).

I just have to share my excitement with you all. My SiL from Los Angeles called late last night and she just found out she has to be in Boston on Thursday (and is in Pittsburg today). Flying to the west coast and then back out makes no sense--so she is flying HERE tonight and we get her all day tomrrow and then she'll drive to Boston tommorrow night. I frantically rearranged Girl Scouts, etc so the kids and I can get the entire day with her. So totally fun to get a great visitor on the spur of the moment.

:thumbsup2

OMG...I feel your pain. I recently also could not use my garage. Long disgusting ridiculous story....one night I didn't pull far enough in and the door did not go down, apparently a (pack? herd?) of rats got in and found an old bag of hamster food, well I guess that was like finding hidden treasure for them. The next night and every subsequent night they chewed their way IN by eating the rubber seal underneath the door to gather and consume (and subsequently excrete) their booty.:sad2: Before we figured out exactly what was going on, we replaced the strip under the door two or three times. Of course it/they chewed right through again. And we'd walk out there in the morning to find piles of opened sunflower seeds (this was before we figured out where they found the hamster food), it looked like the floor of a dugout after a ball game! So anyway we spent a weeekend thoroughly cleaning and de-rat pooping the garage, setting traps, blocking it off with 2x4's etc. and I had to park outside. And as all the Floridians here know, it hadn't rained anywhere in the state for months, we had huge fires consuming the state, a massive drought, dissappearing lake Okeechobee...And OF COURSE the whole time I had to have my car outside it rained EVERY DAY. Never did figure out where the little rascals came from..I guess the wooded conservation area behind our subdivision. I had never seen any around here before or anything. Thank goodness they just never came back, I don't think I could have been able to stand seeing one in a trap!!!::MickeyMo

That's funny, I think I said something like that to him, too. I asked him where the fans are and he said "The box fan or the oscillating fan?" And I had to just shake my head in disbelief..it was like 90 degrees in here (well really 85) I didin't care what he brought me as long as it blew freakin air!! And where were they? In the attic of course......
Although it must be working somewhat...today isn't too bad, its only 77 in here right now!!!:yay: :teeth: Course it's set at 65............ Not looking forward to getting my power bill, it usually 300$/mo anyway I shudder to think what it will be now!!:scared1:

Hiya, all. I was wondering if I might ask a quick question?

I got an email about a "deal" for this cruise. When I went to the Disney site to check numbers, I wasn't able to pull up their price to compare. Would you happen to know why I wasn't able to?

Thanks in advance!
Brandie

WOW. If I didn't know what a pain that must have been, I would say that is one of the funniest stories I had ever heard! :rotfl:

Brandie, I have no idea......I booked through Dreams Unlimited and I know their price was about $500 less than what DCL had advertised, but that was back in February. Good luck!

Ok all, I did it. Today I actually started my countdown to sail date on my white board at work. :hippie: This is my way dealing with all the other stuff that happens at work. When I get aggravated or anoyed, I simply picture sandy castaway beaches with a conch cooler. Then I look past the person moving their lips trying to have a conversation with me, and look at my white board to see how many more days of this dribble and irritation I have to endure, before I am able to be on those wonderful white shores with many libations and a castmember willing to get them so I do not have to move from my lovely bum!

All I can dream about is the amount of alcohol that I plan on consuming :teleport: I would love to be teleported there right now...(OK maybe not right this second, but at 7AM tomorrow morning would be fine).

I totally understand. We had a powerbill of over 500 one month and I about had a heart attack. We now are using the little window shakers (window airconditioners) and our bill is only 130 per month. That is more reasonable and we are running two of them.
