Hi

We made our reservations with Dreams and got an OBC.
I have had very quick replies and replies thaty have taken a couple of days. How long ago did you send an email?
The last email I sent I got an auto reply saying that it was a busy time and replies might be slow.

Long thread already. I'll have to go back and read through.

We just booked this morning. We had been planning on an Eastern later in October, but we did the double dip last year and loved it!

We're Julie (me), Steve (dh), dd Sadie (will be 14), ds Sig (will be 10), dd Madalyn (will be 4) and ds ????? (is in the process of being adopted from Ethiopia we're hoping he'll be 5-7).

This will be our fourth Disney cruise, second double dip. We can't wait!

Julie

Welcome Julie! Congrats on your adoption!

Hi again everyone! This board has been busy..it took me quite some time to read everyone's posts and get up-to-date again. Things here have been hectic..my daughter was in the hospital for a week in February and with doctor appointments and everything else, I haven't been able to check-in for a while. That said, please count me in for tea. I am so excited about a palo tea..it's not offered on the 4 night Wonder and I love tea parties. When my daughter was younger (she's 14 now) we always had tea parties and I miss them. A tea with Dis friends is perfect.

Hi Daisy! Hope your DD is okay now. Of course you can have tea - I didn't have girls to have tea parties with - I hope my DDILs will join us.:hippie: I will need to get a list together and reference a post so we can keep track and make ressies.

We just switched our March 2008 reservation to this cruise. Can't wait even though it is way way in the future!!!

Cruising with DH, DS 23, DS 8, Grandma and Grandpa!! Hope to add a few others before 9/2008!! Will be our third Disney Cruise!!

May go on a interim 4 day December 2007. Tying to decide!!

  Welcome Aboard BusyGirl ! Of course you should do the 4 day and report in so we can cruise vicariously through you! :woohoo:

Is it too late to get in on tea? I love tea, but have only gotten reservations as part of a group.

We did brunch in the private room on the September '06 double dip and it was very nice.

Julie

We'll save you a seat!:cutie:

Hi guys, I have a question...

Has anyone here made or transferred their reservations for this cruise w/ Dreams Unlimited?

We originally booked thru the DCL website, but DU is offering a decent shipboard credit and we would like to transfer our reservation to them. I sent them an email but I have gotten no response. I wonder if that is because the SBC is not offered on this cruise or if it is some other reason...?

I'm all ears... :listen:

THANX!

Nenner! You are a pirate: You got post 400! Let's see who can pirate: 500?

I got 2 New shiny Tags tonight and an extra shiny new color added to my location and post count :cool1:

We booked onboard during our March 2007 cruise and when we got home we tranferred our ressie to Dreams. We got the $200 OBC from DCL and then another $100 from Dreams. The first time I emailed Dreams I didn't get a response but the second time I emailed them I got a response in less than a day. Their service has been great and you can check your ressie on their website. :thumbsup2

:welcome: to all of the newbies!

Stacy (the one without the tags :guilty: )

Thanks for all the help on my question about DU, everyone!:grouphug:

I will just keep trying them....

I'm well on my way!!;)

I booked with Dreams Unlimited and got the 100.00 sbc. I was satisfied, but I feel bad ... I was working with a particular girl the entire time, and then when I needed to actually 'pay' another agent snaked her and took my commission  . I sent her an email and apologized, she said she understood...

Most of my family is going to come, so when they're ready to book, I'm going to tell them to see if they can go through her so she can get that commission back.

Sorry I never post... I'm usually a lurker. ;)

OHHHHHH! I get it!! D'oh:tongue:

Don't mind me, I'm a little slow!:confused3

We'll be to 500 by May, I'm guessing!!:dance3:

Phew, I finally made it through all 411 posts to come up to speed with you all. Unfortunately, now I am too tired to post all of the really interesting things I thought of to say along the way. Sorry, I think you might have enjoyed it.

I look forward to being an active participant from now on.

Oh yeah! We forgot to tell you this is a "special cruise." I don't know whether you read the first couple of pages - but we got off to a really funny start - so welcome aboard :lmao:

It will be fun to talk to you, Doug!

I have to share this with my Dis friends, although this is about my cruise in August of this year. I posted it on our 2007 cruise thread and on the GF thread. I am still shocked:

I just got off the phone with DCL and I have to tell you what happened. I wanted to check to see how much it would be to add the "land" portion to our cruise, making a land/sea package. Since we are in Cat 3 (a splurge for my DH 50th Bday and our 20th Anniversary), the WDW portion of the trip would be a standard room (no concierge) at the GF. DCL told me that it would be an additional $6,800 to add the three nights land to our cruise. I laughed and said that must be a mistake, that the $6,800 was more than I had paid for the cruise itself....nope, our total for land/sea would be over $12,000, but the CM did say "well, it does include your park tickets". I had to laugh...said thank you and didn't book the land portion with DCL. I booked the land through WDW Travel, and we will be staying at the GF RPC for two nights, with park tickets, for under $2000.00 - and I had thought that was alot. I am still laughing at the $6800 land quote.

:scared1: That is NUTS!!!! Sometimes I wonder who they think we are and why they think we are so stupid???? Such a shame :sad2:

Donald and Diasy Duck,
I don't know how to do the quote box or I would have inserted your note about the land and sea package pricing and replied how crazy that is.

Maybe the woman at DCL thought you would go for it and she would earn a giant commission. More likely she was not quoting the increase in cost of adding the land portion but rather the new total Land and Sea package. We did the Land and Sea in March of this year and, although we stayed at a moderate rather than the swanky GF, our total Land and Sea package (with one extra land day so it was 4 days land and 4 days sea) was just over $5,000 (including transfers and insurance).

I'm glad you got it worked out so the price was affordable to you. We enjoyed doing the land and sea, but the 4 days at sea was not enough for us. That is why we booked this cruise. I think we will go down a couple days ahead of this cruise to let the kids ride the rides at Magic Kingdom at least, making it like a land and sea deal.

That's more like it!!
