I love bull breeds. We had an American Staffordshire for a little while, but he had a little more energy than we actually had the time for so he went to live with a young, single, super-active guy with a big yard.

His name was Noggin.....can you see why?

You know, I actually did send a script to a cruise magazine for a potential freelance article but they didn't "need any DCL stories now" - can you imagine? A vacation that you could deduct on your taxes.

And believe me, if we go (and we are about 75% sure we will) there WILL be a report. It'll be called something like "geeks on a budget"

Finally found this thread. My search doesn't seem to work very often. We go this time each year so we are also going on a Disney cruise Oct 6 2007. This will be our first double dip and I can't wait!!!

We booked the day it opened and can not wait!!

Our family is:

Me - Shirley
DH - Bobby
DS - Trenton (10)
DD - Emily (8)
Those are their ages during the cruise.
We have a Cat 6 with main seating. I think we are at 5:45
Cabin # 6080 (I think - disney site is down right now and I can;t double check that)
EDIT: Just saw that someone else has 6080 so that is not my cabin - LOL It is near there because we requested 6060 but it was gone so they gave us one close by.

We went the last few days of Sept first week of Oct. My kids have their fall break the first two weeks of Oct.

There should still be room since we will still be so far out from the sail date. I think the onboard discount is something like 10% plus shipboard credit. But we saved at LEAST 10% by booking through Dreams Unlimited, and we got a nice shipboard credit.

We just sailed on the March 3-10 Eastern and booked this double dip - we saved 10% and got a $200 onboard credit and then when we got home, we transferred our ressies to Dreams and got another $100 OBC. The price stayed the same....

Well, like others have said, you will save 10% plus $200 onboard. However, the price of the cruise could go up more than that 10% SO what I suggest is booking it now, price it while onboard. If you save money, cancel this booking and go with the onboard. However, if you wait and you find out th eprice went up, you can never get todays price back.
We go this time each year and on the Oct 06 cruise I booked two cruises while onboard - the Oct 07 cruise (I see you are booked on the same one as me!!) and a December cruise which I transferred to this cruise immediately when they opened up the 08 dates. The 08 cruise is nearly 2000 cheaper for the same room (same discounts on both) because I booked it now instead of waiting until Oct 07. Just something to think about in advance. What is nice is that you get a full refund if you book now and then cancel to rebook onboard in Oct 07.

I went on and booked this 08 cruise now. But when I cruise in Sept 07 will check to see if can get better deal. If so then I cancel the one I booked recently and book new one while on board. At least the price now is locked in, but if can get better deal while on next cruise will change ressies for that better rate.

We got our room (we originally booked the 5 night and just this weekend changed our ressie to this 7 night double dip) - 7509. On our cruise last month we had a room very near this one that was great so I'm not worried....

Woo hoo! Count us in too! We had a moment of weakness and booked yesterday. (Well we are in full swing DCL withdrawal, we just got off the 4 night 3/18 - 3/22....relapses are to be expected!)

The only thing that sucks is the 10% and the $200 OBC we lost by not doing it on the ship...but if we HAD booked onboard we probably wouldn't have selected this cruise because at the time we were so focused on the Eastern. We are also happy to report we are the only ones not in 6080! Heh. That's cause we're cheap. We will be in 7003. (there was NO selection, NOTHING aft...is this thing almost booked already?)

But this is a great bunch of folks! I can tell none of you are too excited yet!!
