EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

:scared1:

I must say I'm really glad our dog Tonka really isn't a licker. Since he's a great dane, that could get out of hand in a hurry. Its bad enough when he comes over for a pet right after drinking from his bowl. My sister told me recently that her 2 dogs (great dane adult, golden retriever puppy) refuse to drink out of a bowl - instead only drinking out of the toilet. At least Tonka does NOT do that.

On his big pillow that he sleeps on, he drooled something the other day that looked suspecially like a hidden mickey! Didn't mean to gross anyone out, but it was pretty funny when we came back home & saw the hidden mickey on his pillow. :rolleyes1

Yea, kinda defeats the purpose of the shower :confused3

Omigosh, our dog is SUCH a licker. If he hears the tub running and you don't close the door in time, he stands over you and whimpers while you are trying to take a nice, relaxing bath. He doesn't drink the water, but if you accidentally let a limb surface?
LICK LICK LICK LICK
Until you force it back under the water. And then he whimpers some more. :confused3

Hadley, how did Marika do this weekend?

Big welcome to all the folks who have joined the cruise lately. You've been keeping Kimberly VERY busy lately. :thumbsup2 She's our stats & welcoming woman extraordinaire!

Kimberly:
How do you keep up with everyone?? Seems as though its a full time job unto itself at the moment!

Does anyone have a progress report on our new doubledip website? (Ack! I've reverted back to 'corporate speak'.........:sad2: )

I'm not sure how I'm keeping up! As I'm sure it goes for all of you, those around me are indeed amazed at how much time is spent reading these boards as well as maintaining our cast list! ;)

Yeah....drop the corporate speak!!! :rotfl2: I haven't heard anything from Jeremy, but I'm sure when he has the time to pull it all together we'll be amazed!

Ok I was wondering about the BYOP thread hehe. So do I have this right many people who book on the DCL link are getting cabin 6080 because they have not been assigned a real room yet? Not the 6080 is not real but it really can't fit all those people in there :)

BYOP :crowded: in 6080! :lmao: I'm not sure if this is a rhetorical question or not, but in the event it isn't and you're seeking the source of this inside joke, Tammie (MAGICFOR2) was assigned to 6080, and then I think it was Erica (Zweihund) who thought she was assigned to 6080 as well....so the rest is history. Cabin 6080 is open to all (although Tammie's DH may have something to say about that....or not!) :rolleyes1

All the bad luck!!! I am sure that wand would have worked. Think of all the wonderful stuff you could have done. Have you tried waving the dog?? Lois

:rotfl: You are hilarious, Lois!!:rotfl:

Does he like shower gel or body lotion too??

Sorry. There are times I just can't help myself. DH is not in the corporate world (lucky guy) & sometimes when we're talking, he looks at me as if I'm speaking a foreign language! (Note to self: remember to translate corporate speak for DH) :teacher:
Ok. Figured I missed updates on the website when I was zoned out.

You are hilarious, Lois!!
I second that. Loved it - great mental image. Is that anything like wagging the dog by chance??

Oh don't apologize! I get the same looks at home sometimes, too!!! On my end, it's more like a look of someone completely stopping in their tracks, chin to the chest, eyes looking up, and a slight shake of the head all screaming "can't you just act normal?" :rotfl: So GUILTY I am!!

:rotfl: You are hilarious, Lois!!:rotfl:

Thank you. I just couldn't resist it. You see I have three dogs and two cats at home. Anything I leave down is placed at risk of being eaten or licked including body parts. However, I wouldn't want to be without them most of the time. Well got to go. Will check in later. Hope all have a good night. Lois

Dh (Jeremy) had a CLEP test last Thursday and is occupied :rolleyes1 right now with our anniversary weekend.

He's looking into getting college credit for the cruise website, but he won't find out if he can use that work for a senior thesis until the end of the month (when the online course begins). :thumbsup2 Be pretty cool if he can do that. Lots of good things to demonstrate with our cruise website--databases, calendars, forums, etc. And that's just my wishlist... :rotfl: Either way, we have the URL, so no worries there. Buckeye Gal has the data and she's periodically updating DH.

Ok, kiddo needs to be put to bed. Ya'll have a great night!

We have a Cat.. He will steal your straw before you are done with it.. :lmao: You open a package of cheese.. he could be fast asleep upstairs and Poof :wizard: he is rubbing against your legs in an instant.. Oh and don't even crumble a ball of paper, unless you plan on losing a hand.. :rotfl:

Hey all!

Sorry I've been largely absent this weekend....Jason's parents and sister were here staying with us this weekend so I wasn't online much.

To catch up....:welcome: to all our newly joined cruisers! You've officially joined one of the must fun threads and most fun cruises....and apparently you couldn't have done it at a more opportune time because the price is going up by the minute on this cruise!! :lmao:

Drea---Jason and I are very sorry to hear about your loss and, like everyone else, our thoughts are with you.

As for the dog and licking conversation...I don't have a dog so I can't comment....but I just want to point out that ONLY on this thread could I be subjected to a discussion of lotion-licking-dogs!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyhow....lots and lots of posts in the past few days....I look forward to tons of future posts in the just under a year we have before we set sail!

Welcome to all the newbies !!! :welcome: :welcome:

The decision was finally made....just in time (HAHA!!) on where we are staying the night before the cruise..........the Hyatt at MCO won !! We booked our rooms tonight!! My family, my sis and Mom and RKandMJsmommy and family are all staying there !

Ok, now I have a question for all you veteran cruisers......I heard that the MCO Hyatt will pick up your bags for you so you do not have to wait at bagage claim........is this true and its it only at certain times?

One more thing........I was thinking (scary I know) that since this cruise is right after dry dock, does that mean that our rooms will all be ready as soon as they let anyone board?

One decision down and only one million more to go !!! At least I feel like I did something constructive today !  pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: party:

Let me know how that magic wand is working for you all........maybe it can clean up DD room !! I don't think even Magic will help her room !

I forgot to mention in my other post that my order from cafepress arrived today and that the shirts look fantastic. So clearly they were willing to fill my order despite their apparent aversion to the copyright infringement of our mickey head treasure map.

I really REALLY hope that as we all order individually they continue to let the logo slip by and we aren't forced to recreate it without the mickey head! So order away folks!!!

I hope the CLEP wasn't too painful for him. That's AWESOME if he can use our website for his coursework!!! Oh yea....woo hoo about anniversary plans! :rolleyes1

OOOH! GREAT question!!!! I'm thankful someone is thinking around here! If no one here knows, perhaps the question can be put out there on the main thread so those with "1st-cruise post-drydock" experience can speak to your question!

I forgot to mention in my other post that my order from cafepress arrived today and that the shirts look fantastic.

 Okay...now I'm jealous! I might need to work on that order this week!! Would you mind taking and posting a pic for us, Erik? :) I think you should have Jason model for us!!

OHHHH that would be cool to drop all our crap I mean stuff off before starting the food fest!

Hello everyone! We are hard to keep up with!
I thought I would just quickly post thoughts to the various topics that spoke to me since last night :goodvibes

Dogs: This section of the post should be labeled the "wet zone" like at Sea World - warning: if you read these posts you will get wet! :rotfl2:

BYOP: - back somewhere a few months ago, my DH actually thought I was trying to host a huge party in our cabin, and was nicely asking where everyone would sit :lmao: He's used to me hosting crazy get togethers here for my business. You will see he's pretty quiet until he gets to speak to you one on one - hard to draw out - I'm the chatty Cathy!

Hyatt: I don't know if they have a luggage pick up service - we used the Disney transportation when we stayed there, and they picked up the luggage from outside our door the next morning and took it to the ship for us. The next time we saw it was in our cabin.

Corporate Speak: I have a problem with "medical speak" My DH is always looking sideways at me - thinks I do it just to look smart - really think in those terms alot. When you get my RN sis and I together, watch out! we can't help who we are.:rotfl:

Cafepress: Thanks for the "trial run" Erik! Glad you were happy with your order - fun to see the "fruits of your labor," huh?

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone! It's great to be a part of this fun bunch!

That would be great if he could get college credit for the website!

Hey! Perhaps Deb123453 can wave her dog for you! Bibbity Bobbity Bark! :rotfl:

I was so proud of myself last night. I though I had all my packing done (with the exception of the last minute things) and checked my list and realized I did not have one camera packed! :scared1: I'm just glad I realized it now instead of on the ship! I could see me stalking Jen, "Heeeeeyyy Jeeeeennnn! Quick bring your camera over here there's a great shot I need you to get!" :lmao:

Eric: I am ordering something when I get home just to see if it will work! I'd love to see a picture of your shirts too!

DS & I play an online game called Runescape.. It's a medevil role play game that you play with millions of people around the world all at the same time.. It is rather addicting..

Well him and I talk for an hour in front of DH and he gets soooo Lost he is clueless about what we are talking about.. :confused3

How did you end up in the ER? Was it a dehydration thing or something else?:confused3

Thanks for the good wishes! :flower3: We have 2 cans of sunblock and refillable water bottles. I heard you can fill them up on deck 9. I didn't want to lug a case of water with me this trip.

Hello all.

Let's see where to begin??? Dogs? NO, I don't even know where to begin with that:rotfl2: our rabbit does not lick, slobber or steel your straw so I am in the dark abotu these things.

How 'bout camp? When I picked up the kids I asked how was the weekend and they answere in uision: "great" and "terrible." Marika wasn't really as misearable as she thought she was. She kept telling me about different things and siounding like she enjoyed those and I would point that fact out. But all in all she felt overwhelmed by how choatic it was (NOT a roll with the punches kind of kid:rotfl: ) and was homesick and hated not being able to read at bedtime, etc. I do think if she would go back (knowing now hte routines, etc) she would enjoy it more, but I don't see her being willing to try again (at least not "regular" camp). At least she gave it a try and now knows what she is missing when Rio comes home excitedly talking about his week of fun (juts registered him yesterady for NEXT summer to lock in this year's rates).

Oh, and I do need to WELCOME even more of you. Glad to have you with us:)

Tiffany--Have a GREAT trip. Also, do you get the CWDKids catalog? The new one came Friday and it has a pirate rag doll that is missing a tooth and the pirate is holding a treasure chest for missing tooth and tooth fairy money. So I immediatly thought of you and Grady;) You may want to look for it on their website when you get back home.

Erik--Good to know the shirts arrived and look as fabulous as the logo:cheer2: Did you show them off to the in-laws? Are they like normal people who do not get the Disney thing or have you and Jason converted them yet?

Brandie--I'm sending good thoughts and pixie dust Jeremy's way about getting course credit for our web design:wizard: What a cool idea to try for.

Finally, I do not know if we could get into our satetroom right away being post drydock, but it certainly makes sense that we would be able to. What a fabulous idea:)
