"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Take 3!

I spent time today working on the packing list. I started with the template that someone posted on the main message board years ago. I was surprised that I had so much more to add that IMO was pretty customary! Furthermore, I look at my clothing list vs. non-clothing list and go . The number of non-clothing items was astonishing, and the clothing list was pretty small, which means I'm not overplanning that area!! I guess this is why you should have a list!

It seems that early am will work, maybe 9;45 or so, half way between 9;30 and 10 am I will check it out as soon as I get my Palo ressie once onboard, my sidekick Crissi will also help

I definitely think earlier is better for soooo many reasons. Nap times, pool time (meaning pool HAIR!), lunch, ship tours, movies, bingo, the clock just ticks away without you knowing, etc. all would get in the way of an afternoon session. Certainly the lighting would be better if it wasn't the middle of the day, too.

Ok .... this isn't the fanciest, and it's not even the 'Disneyist,' but I did a pocket for each of us in each something that fits our personalities. And .... it *is* done - unless I add something with our names and the year on it....

I need to do that. I just haven't gotten there yet. I have been working on what we want to do for our excursions. I'm so behind on things.


Thanks!!! I knew that my oldest wouldn't really go for the whole 'Disney' look and feel right now, so I thought it might do better if I just chose something different for each of them. I'm fairly pleased with it. I think I might go back and put names on each one, but I'm not sure yet. Thoughts??

Crissi ~ Have you gone to the doctor yet???? I too have severe Anxiety Disorder and know how it feels when that happens to you.

I went yesterday and he took some more blood to do a Thyroid index but that came back fine. I have an appt Thursday for an Echo. We will see from there. I have absolutely no appetite and my back is killing me. I am also still very tired. I am just falling apart. He said to have these tests done and we will go from there. We shall see.

Oh my. If my oldest finds out your dh is delivering something, he may sit by the FE just waiting to pick his brain on Marine this and Marine that ..... I don't think we're ever going to get past the stage of wanting to talk Marine stuff 24/7 ........ Perhaps he will after Boot Camp......

Heck, we're trying to figure out how in the world we're going to get all of the stuff down to PC that we need to have with us.

Thanks! It was really pretty simple, but it did test some of my design and sewing skills (or lack of .....). I'm definitely not a seamstress, but this is all straight, easy seams, so it turned out ok. Don't look too close, though ..... you'll see all of my screw ups!

Those of you doing the PIRATE ENCOUNTER: Denise/Crissi/Drea/Tonya: Do we meet for the excursion on the ship or somewhere on shore?? I am currently booked for the 11:45 excursion time, so I was thinking about going ashore before hand to do a little bit of shopping. But, if we have to meet for the excursion on the Magic, that might be a hassle going back and forth. Hope this make sense

It seems the search this forum is not working the only navigator I came across was from Feb 2008, it said the 9am meets Studio Sea and that the 11:45 meet on pier, I really hope we meet on the pier, we hope to go ashore also I would think the first pirate encounter is gettin dropped off at the pier after their fun and we get picked up there, I will keep looking for more recent western navigators

Lois posted about this earlier. After signing in, there's another little button you see on the bottom right of the message boxes. Its the one in the middle - its right after the 'quote' button. Once you click it, it turns red. After you're done clicking all the ones you want, just click on the 'post reply' button like normal. Each of the items you wanted come up for you to comment on in the normal place. Make sense?

Down in the bottom of a post...right next to the quote button, is a button with quotation marks and a plus sign. That is the multi quote button. When you want to quote different posts at once just hit that button for each post you want to quote (it will turn orange), then the last post you are quoting hit the regular quote button, and when the post window opens, all of the quotes will be there.

It's a late night for me...doing laundry for 14yo stepdaughter who has been knee deep in volleyball all last week & this week...Apparently what she HAS to wear tomorrow is dirty & since she has to be at practice at 7am tomorrow, no time to do laundry in the morning. *sigh* I know it's a 5A highschool and all, but do these coaches have children? It's way too early, every day, to practice....

It seems the search this forum is not working the only navigator I came across was from Feb 2008, it said the 9am meets Studio Sea and that the 11:45 meet on pier, I really hope we meet on the pier, we hope to go ashore also I would think the first pirate encounter is gettin dropped off at the pier after their fun and we get picked up there, I will keep looking for more recent western navigators

I am more than excited.
We are not telling the kids, so this will be a great surprise for them. Now, I have a whole new set of things to do (buy tickets, figure out transportation from Cape Canaveral to/from WDW).

What do you guys recommend in regard to transportation to/from WDW? We could rent a car and then drive ourselves to the port on Saturday.......how much would a taxi cost each way?

I higly recommend MNSSHP, its a Blast! you could get a rental car at Budget, right near the port at noon on Friday and return by noon on Sat for less than $40, just use code W810011 on the Budget.com site, its for an ecomony but it might be cheaper than a town car
