My DD is in the middle of a huge growth spirt. I just had to pack away 5 of her cruise outfits cause they are to small. I bought these and paid way to much thinking she will get to wear them all summer and on the cruise...but we make plans and God laughs. Her dresses are fine but her shorts outfits not so much.

Now I am scouring sale racks trying to find some more summer stuff for her....uuuggg. The problem is she is 6 but is growing into a 8 or 9 and I don't like her to dress like a mini teenager shes 6

why couldn't she wait to grow after the cruise??????

Hey Jen, Have you thought of making some little pillowcase dresses for her with shorts under them? If you sew even a little bit these are really easy, very forgiving on sizing, and look adorable. I've earn quiet a bit in dotd money making these around here out of cute fabric (doesn't need to be a pillowcase) with ribbon trims, etc.

On the subject of the Olympics - I hate to see what I'm going to be like two weeks from now! :rotfl2: I'm getting very little sleep since I found that they show other stuff on other cable channels after they sign off from the main broadcast on NBC. Like last night I was up watching more beach volleyball (they don't even have to be USA). Not to mention that they actually repeat the prime time broadcast starting at about 1 or so (so I can watch everything a second time if I want :rotfl:).

I'm beginning to see that I can get a little obsessive about more than just this cruise:rolleyes1

Hi friends!

Computers...We travel extensively, both domestic & international, and always, always bring our laptop with us. We've never had any inspection troubles. I would think the chance of a TSA inspection would be SLIM and the benefits of having your laptop would far outweigh the slight possibility of an inspection.

We always bring ours for our family blogs which we update daily, and also for storing our pictures from the camera. And on international trips, everyone knows we're only available via email, but it's still nice to know we can be contacted easily in case of emergency & not have to be tracked down for crazy costs like ship-to-shore phone calls or international cell phone packages.

I just pulled our FE out of storage & got even more excited about the FE gift exchange! I can only imagine the excitement in Reese's eyes when we return the the room to find fun trinkets!! OK, my eyes too...:yay:

AirTran Price went down again!!!

I now have a $312 credit. :surfweb:

So that is something. :rolleyes1

No Stateroom # yet though. :confused3

Just how do you get the credit? We booked with Air Tran on line. Any chance we can get a credit or did you book through another wed site? Lois

I'm also an Olympics fanatic.
I have NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, USA, OXYGEN and Telemundo on regular TV
I havn't found universal HD yet...
I have a new Sony widescreen HDTV and I am really having fun.
Olympic coverage is actually on 24 hours somewhere.
I watched the mens relay LIVE last night. OUTSTANDING..
I'll be up tonight too, and might stay up for the mens team gymnastics.
Sleep, who needs sleep, I am retired.

What Category? We're Cat 7 and still have a GTY... (Here's hoping... now I probably jinxed it)

JB ... I love your quote in your signature line. I have a shirt that says that. Cracks me up when people look at me so quizzically. LOL!

We are brining ours if for no other reason than to download photos each night.

Ok....and because I just can't seem to totally check out from work.....I'll probably check my email at least once while on the cruise.

Yeah, that's one of my biggest reasons - the pictures. (and I HATE being completely out of touch, too ....)

What are these?? I have a 3 yo dd and would love to know more about them.

Great to know. I think that I agree and am planning to bring mine. I have a couple of blogs to update, too, so it will benefit me there.

We're enjoying the Olympics also. The women's gymnastics team last night just couldn't seem to buy a break - especially at the beginning. The Chinese women were just outstanding. & on the ones that are rumored to be less than 16 - lets just say that they looked really young to me, even w/the makeup.

I admit I went to bed before the relay race, but did record it & watched it 1st thing this morning since I was working from home today. Fantastic!!!

Emmie mainly wants to watch the stuff w/the tricks (gymnastics). I tried to get her interested in watching the big swim relay - nah, no interest. We caught the end of the cross country portion of the eventing. Since horses were involved, it held her interest. (Eventing is the 3 day horse competetion - dressage, cross country (steeplechase), & jumping.)

Getting my email is important, but I was going to suck it up and just get it when I get back or look at it on one of the ship's computers. I'm beginning to think that I really don't want to do that.

The computers on the ship were soooooo slow the last time I tried to use them.

The olympics ROCK - last nights swimming final was incredible - I also love the 2 weeks of the olympics - I tivo most of it so I can get all the good stuff out of it :cheer2: I think they are doing a really good job this year balancing the "stories" with the action popcorn::

Category 8. We usually do the bigger/higher ocean view. Then by definition if we get an upgrade we get a balcony.

I call 1800.AIRTRAN

I tell them that my airline flight has gone down and I understand they offer a credit

They ask for
Reservation #
Primary Person
Phone #
Address

Then they issue a credit tied to the reservation # that is good 1 year from initial flight purchase. You just have to call to use credit. (Unclear whether if you use credit you have to pay the $15 fee for talking to an agent)

This has worked for me directly for tickets bought on AirTran and Travel sites like  Orbitz..
Called AirTran for both purchase types.

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading posts(trying to keep up) but haven't posted for a while. Hope everyone is well. We are getting close to the big day, arent we..:yay:

Hadley, we went to Storyland this past weekend. I waved to you as we drove by :wave2: Did you see me? We also went by your Camp restaurant and I thought of you. I wanted to stop and have lunch there but we just didn't have time.

We had a great time at Storyland, we are so lucky to have such a nice park near us...it was a nice little warm up for pre-cruise at WDW.

Only about 43 or so days to go...Can't wait to see everyone at the terminal!

Buckeye Gal...what excatly is Friday Night Wheareabouts?

Cheryl

Those of you doing the PIRATE ENCOUNTER: Denise/Crissi/Drea/Tonya: Do we meet for the excursion on the ship or somewhere on shore?? I am currently booked for the 11:45 excursion time, so I was thinking about going ashore before hand to do a little bit of shopping. But, if we have to meet for the excursion on the Magic, that might be a hassle going back and forth. Hope this make sense ;)

You know I have no clue... great question. I figured on ship.. but we have the 930 time. Hmmm I probably should find out huh! lol.

Other note.. E's home- thank you all for your kind words hugs and support. Now the REAL countdown begins LOL. We went shopping today and E found a ton of shorts shirts etc and all he kept saying is will this be ok for the cruise. He did enough shopping today to equal what I have done in the 7months he was gone LOL. So I know he is ready for a vacation too!

We didnt have time for an explanation on the f/e or s/m stuff so that will come tmrw He still gives me this dear in the headlight look when I mention that stuff. :rotfl2: I  I will be done with those this week. I HOPE! :confused3

Erica- I have now become an ebay addict... again. I am watching like 20 dress's. Went shopping today and tried on a few off the clearance rack but they were still over $50 and I kept thinking but Erica only payed about $20 total... Wish me luck!:thumbsup2

As for a lap top. Im trying to get E to check one out of his shop (we only have a desktop) So that we can download our pics and stuff to it cuz I know I will have a ton of pics for 2weeks!

Buckeye Gal...what excatly is Friday Night Wheareabouts?

Great to see you again, Cheryl!!

That's the name of the forum on our website where people are posting which hotel (or if they're going to the MNSSHP) they are staying at Friday night in the event you want to have your own DIS Meets on Friday night to help release some of your excitment!

...Other note.. E's home- thank you all for your kind words hugs and support....

Drea, thanks for sharing your homecoming with us!! I'm so thankful he got back home safely! Your signs are awesome, too!! I just love the huge smiles on the boys faces!

Drea - so great to hear that he's home and back with his family! I love the pic!!! Yeah - you might want to give him time to catch up with all things DIS.

Regarding the PIRATE ENCOUNTER:
You meet your Disney Guide on the boat. You get a sticker that matches your guide's handheld sign at the meeting point on the ship.

Hope that helps!

Drea: Woohooo!!!!

Drea.........glad that you are once again a complete, happy, and healthy family.....can't wait to meet E on board.........thanks for everything...

PS....Great pitcure!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drea - I'm so glad you got your Marine home safe and sound!!!! Great picture. I love the sign.

Drea I'm so glad E made it home ok (now we'll really have a blast in the Walt suite :lmao: )

Ok for you crafty people.....I have fabric nemo shaps to pu on my FE but I REALLY don't feel like satin stiching around all those tiny lines. do you think they would be ok just ironed on with nothing around the edges or should I get some fabric paint to be on the safe side?

My DS saw me working on this over the weekend and got so excited to see Nemo he started spouting lines from the movie again. At 2 it could quote word for word the entire 2 hours including songs and variations in the voices. I just keep thinking "oh no NOT again".

DREA ~ Glad E made it home safely. Great picture and sweet family.

So, what are pillowcase dresses?????? Definitely interested in this......

Chris ~ How about finding me reduced tickets for US Air or do I need to join the Patron club????:rotfl: :rotfl:

Crissi ~ Have you gone to the doctor yet???? I too have severe Anxiety Disorder and know how it feels when that happens to you.

Tonia ~ If you were diagnosed with anxiety disorder your doctor should have given you medication for it and maybe recommend therapy of some type.
