I've already filled out the online stuff, but isn't there a way to get them signed up at the port waiting to board? Also what time do they open or have orientation after you board?

They start letting you in the terminal at 10:00 am - NOT before, very strict on this...:sad2: WE WANT TO START OUR VACATION AT 12:01 AM!!!!

Anyway, once in the terminal, passing all the screening, up the escalator (and don't forget to get your boarding #), over to check in THEN you can go all the way to the back right of the terminal and check your kids into the clubs. They will give them their wrist bands and you are all set! That simple...although the line can get rather long.

They will usually start to let people board the ship by about 11:30-11:45 I believe. They will start to call "All guests with boarding number 1 please head to the gateway located at the back of the station to board the ship...(then 7 minutes or so goes by) :rolleyes1 and they call "All guests with boarding numbers 1-2 please head....ect."

Trust me, it's NOT the end of the world if you don't get boarding numbers 1,2 or 5 even....it goes by so fast. I was 8 last year and we were on the ship by 12:10!

Hope this helps! :dance3:

Alright folks.....I now have a message center for both Starboard and Port sides for EVERY deck except Deck 1. Based on the map I'm looking at it doesn't look there are that many passenger cabins on deck 1 in the first place....and they are all on port side. So----if anyone is on deck one and is willing to be a message center, let me know.....otherwise anyone who is on Deck 1 may need to check the message center(s) on Deck 2. The good news, though, is that the port side Deck 2 message center is very near mid-ship so should be easily checked and in a pretty convenient & high traffic area.

So.....here is your official list of Dis Double Dip (DDD) Message Centers by cabin number:

2076 (cyndifan)
2604 (videoman)
5013 (NHDisneylover)
5524 (LuvtheEars)
6048 (RKandMJsMommy)
6628 (tig82174)
7125 (Gramto3)
7598 (scoutsmom99)
8068 (pfishgirl)
8576 (Magic3forme)

Please make a note of where the message centers are around the ship----and especially try to identify the one closest to your cabin! (That sounded remotely like a flight attendant, huh? "Please locate the exit nearest your seat" :lmao: :lmao: ) Throughout the cruise any information on cruise meets, group photos, announcements, etc. will get posted on these boards when appropriate...so check them once or twice a day as you wander the halls.

Kimberly---Can you please make sure this info gets into Post #1

also....

A very big THANK YOU to all our message center cabins for volunteering to help out with this!

Another useful idea for the message centers is for room changes & upgrades...especially if someone is on the fish extender or secret mickey list.

For example if you are participating in the fish extenders and secret mickeys but then you upgrade at the port...nobody will know what your new room # is....so that is something that could be put on the message center boards and people could quickly jot down the room changes.

Nope you are not alone. I use to LOVE dressing up...then I had a child and somehow the thought of dealing with him in fancy dress just makes me exhausted.

THANK YOU! Yes, I have 3 kiddos, and the memory of a cute little black dress I used to have comes to mind. I wore it after I had ds #1, and it came 1/2 unbuttoned all the way down the front from all of his wiggling! NOT good. :(

my pants are comfy sueded black fabric and I have a pretty tunic top from Lane Bryant in grey...if that helps you any :cool1: oh and for the record I don't do heels either so I'll be in black flats of some sort. Funny, I will do head to toe renissance dressing for our local festival but formal freaks me out.

LOL!! That's just .... different. I'm not sure why it's not the same, but it just isn't. And, I don't wear heals either - evah!

I will be in pants too, nothing fancy here. Last year we did the whole fancy dresses etc etc, and the picture didnt turn out that great. Our informal pics, awesome and we were comfy. :) I dont own a pair of heels, how pathetic is that? ( at 5'8 dont really need 'em)

Dh is only wearing a long sleeve shirt/ tie. he wears polo/golf style shirts to work now. the suits and dress clothes take up soo much room in the suitcases.

Kudos to those who love to dress up. :)

That was one of my thoughts, too. We're driving down and don't have tons of room. I don't need something extra to deal with .

And .... for the record ... I probably NEED heals (only 5'3" here), but I don't WANT them and won't wear them. :)

This does help! I was on the Wonder a year ago and understand the whole check in/boarding thing, but we didn't have our kids with us and frankly I didn't pay attention to the kids stuff at all. :lmao:

I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss any of the stuff we can do in the terminal so we can get to the Mickey Pool as soon as possible. After lunch at Parrot Cay that is!

I don't wear heals either - evah! And .... for the record ... I probably NEED heals (only 5'3" here), but I don't WANT them and won't wear them. :)

I'm 5'0" on my tip toes and hate heels! I would rather just miss stuff that I can't see than be miserable in heels. My dress shoes do have a 1 to 1 1/2 inch heel, but I always look for good "Cruise" dress shoes that have a solid heel not one of those little dots that you can fall of off when the ship sways! (Learned my lesson last year! Rough seas in Palo can be interesting!)

:rolleyes1

Ok...so I don't want to be a worry wart but if we are doing the group photo in shirts the same color can somone confirm for me that those shirts will be white with the large logo on the front? I want to make sure I have the correct item for it (and that I don't dress DS in his on the wrong day).

:cheer2: Thank you for the encouragment FE Cheerleaders:cheer2:

I didn't even look at it today.....and it is a good thing.

While getting a cookbook out of my Hoosier, I accidently knocked off a shelf a ceramic rolling pin with Rooster's painted on it that was a gift. Broke that sucker into a million pieces.....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I didn't even shout ..... just shook my head. It just isn't my week.

I did make a cake with Lilo and Stitch for my oldest granddaughters birthday party tonight. Quite successful with that except for the small burn mark across my wrist.

Help....quick....someone take me away.....I am a danger to myself.:sad2: Somtimes my DH tells me to just stay in the house and stay in bed all day.

Anyways, if I can't scrape all the splattered paint off her FE, I think I will just splatter more! That will be a unique design won't it! Who knows, maybe Jeninpa will like it that way......doesn't hurt that I didn't tell her yet what happened. SHHHHHHHHHHH

Guess what just came in the Mail!!! Actually UPS!!! I wasn't expecting it until Thursday!!

My new Sony Video Camera! I love it! It is smaller than my less than 5 year old one and everything about it is tiny! (tapes, chargers and batteries!) I've been playing around with it and it seems so user friendly! :dance3:

When I told Doug about it and showed him the info on the website Charlie directed us to he was thrilled with it. It is 1/4 the price of the old one, but all new technology.

I just can't get over how tiny it is! Megan was standing here when I opened it and said, "That's the same size as your regular camera!" Now I have to add getting a camera bag to the list, but one small camera bag will hold this and my Cannon no problem!

I'm off to watch the DVD that came with it and get some footage of my kids watching TV! Woo Hoo :rotfl2:

You might want to let someone else carry the cake if it needs to be moved:rolleyes1

Thanks soooooo much! I may get a black dress, but I'm really aiming for a pair of pants (and will be wishing it was a pair of jeans or shorts!!!!). I am so NOT comfortable in dressy clothes .......... and I really have no idea why.

Go for the pants, I am not comfortable in dresses either but since this our first cruise we decided to get dressed up for dinner...gotta love spanx:lovestruc

YEAH another LB girl...they have great clotes, LOVE THEIR JEANS!

thanks for this, I am so worried I am going to miss something checking in.
Here is a question, Dh will drop off the car, how far can I get without him? Do I keep his passport and check him in? Can he get into the port with his drivers license? The last time we cruise it was only him and I and we got dropped off at the port by the cruise bus.

WOOOHOOO, that is awesome!

:cheer2: Thank you for the encouragment FE Cheerleaders:cheer2:

You are a Great Gram to your lucky grandkids:hug:

You might want to let someone else carry the cake if it needs to be moved:rolleyes1

I think I'm better off carrying the cake :cake: than driving.....:car:

Thank you Denise I try. :thanks:

Now I'm off for a quick shower before dinner and the party. Talk to you all later. :surfweb:

PS: I forgot.....anyone want to parasail with me on CC :rotfl2:

I'm dreadfully afraid that my Palo night is going to conflict with my first night in AP and I'll miss the show!!

We're worried about that as well. Fingers crossed!

Diversions:rotfl2: See now most of you are thinking of it as the "sports bar" which is rightfully is. I, on the other hand, only go in there for three reasons:
1. Once in a great while a fun game is scheduled to be in there (but rarely they are usually in the Promenade Lounge)
2. I meander in nearly every afternoon hoping the Nacho bar is up (hmmm, I am just realizing I should pay attention to when the games are--I bet the nachos are more likely to be there if there is a game playing:thumbsup2 ). If it is there I fill my plate and head up on deck (no lingering for me:rotfl: )
3. Pub night on the last night of the cruise:lmao:

I love Diversions! I just don't watch the screens. I love the chairs, and the backgammon.
And the martini flight. :rolleyes1

DH won't allow me ;) to watch football anymore. He says I get too loud and upset. :rotfl:

You can find my pale/lobster red backside wherever there is shade. :thumbsup2 No tan stage for me; I go straight from "ghostly white" to "ouch! THAT's gotta hurt!" :lmao: And no, sunscreen doesn't really help there. DH likens my sunscreen to the type vampires/Goth kiddies must use. Here in Colorado, it takes me merely 15 minutes of waiting outside without sunscreen to start turning red.

Can you say, "Wuuuuuusss!" :rotfl:

You and Sarah will be twins! Do you also burn in unexplainable geometric patterns?

I cant log on to Disneycruise.com...maybe we are all getting our upgrades:lmao:

Here is a question, Dh will drop off the car, how far can I get without him? Do I keep his passport and check him in? Can he get into the port with his drivers license? The last time we cruise it was only him and I and we got dropped off at the port by the cruise bus.

Last year I did the entire check in process without dh, he was returning the rental car. he met us in the terminal, and I had our boarding pass number. the porters etc were so helpful in telling us what to do and what I needed. I cant remember what id of his I needed. But I had was able to preboard without him, such a time saver. We plan to do this again. :)

FYI - still working to find out rotations ......

Hi Shell....I know you hopped on board this cruise a little late and missed this I posted earlier. If you follow the link here you will find a handy spreadsheet I made up with a lot of the info for our cruise, including the dining rotations. I did confirm (twice) with DCL that these rotations would be the same on our cruise, and another of our cruisemates also called and was told the same thing..so I believe this information is as accurate as it can be (Things on DCL are always "subject to change")
And the quick answer is this:
5:30 and 8:00 - LAAPLAP
5:45 and 8:15 - APPLAPL
6:00 and 8:30 - PLLAPLA

Also I believe being concierge, you can have your concierge team arrange Palo reservations for you. Once you pick a rotation, you can use that info to help determine when you would like your Palo slot. :thumbsup2

Hope you find this useful!! :)

I've already filled out the online stuff, but isn't there a way to get them signed up at the port waiting to board? Also what time do they open or have orientation after you board? I guess I could just get my Passporter back out and start marking the pages to answer my own questions, but everyone here is so good at answering questions quickly I thought I'd ask first.
Yes..I know this has been mostly answered but here's my $0.02. You can do this at the port...it is just like you say, you wait in a (cough*long slow moving*cough) line and get wristbands/pagers and set up your account password. The area is up in the far right hand corner by the little snack bar and near the little deck where you can walk out and see the boat. On our last cruise (the one you & Doug were on:goodvibes )...well you know that was not a totally sold out cruise and it was NUTSO over there between say 10:30 and 12:00 when the first boarding started. They do not open that area until quite a bit after check in starts...at least after 11..and they would not even let us line up until right when they opened, it was such a cluster mess over there...everybody in ajumble and when they opened the line....stampede! :sad2: Plus the line moved SOOOO SLOW. If it was that bad on that cruise, I can only imagine how awful it will be this time...we very well might just drop by the club/lab when they open for family time in the afternoon/evening..they open for registration/open house from like 1:30 til about 3 and again from say 5:30 ish on in the evening. We'll have to check our Nav to see exactly when.

Anyways, if I can't scrape all the splattered paint off her FE, I think I will just splatter more! That will be a unique design won't it! Who knows, maybe Jeninpa will like it that way......doesn't hurt that I didn't tell her yet what happened. SHHHHHHHHHHH

Diane, maybe you could cover the splatters with black paint to make it less noticeable? (If you can't get it off) But heck, you're right..you could just make more splatters and swirlies..I bet it will look great that way!:)

I cant log on to Disneycruise.com...maybe we are all getting our upgrades:lmao:

So....uuummmm........since we're one of the message center cabins, we'll just have to politely refuse any proposed upgrade from DCL. Yeah, like that's gonna happen! :rotfl2:

Tiffany.....Glad I was able to help you with the website....Everything they sell on there is USA warranty...no grey market stuff here!!!!
Enjoy and make sure you always have enough tape & battery power...
Can't wait to see it:yay:

We're worried about that as well. Fingers crossed!

Erica...you and my DW should set up some sort of time to play each other in backgammon....she goes crazy over this game so much that she is always playing it on the computer...I refuse to play her...And yes drinks will be on the table:rotfl:
