"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Take 3!

I've been playing the last couple of days making our shirts to wear onto the ship. I found this thread yesterday and thought I would give it a try:

I used the glue method and mixed up powder dyes into spray bottles instead of fabric paint. I'm not sure how they are going to turn out and I want to let them sit for at least 24 hours before washing them to see if it worked.

I was going to make the tye dye shirts with the kids, but once I found this it looked much easier! We still might take a day and make the tye dye shirts with Cindifan and her DD though.

I'll post a picture if they turn out OK.

We've made two sets of tie dye Mickey head shirts for our previous Disney trips & I think we'll wear them on boarding day because I love them!

Oops - I forgot to answer the question of the day:

Doug - Right now with work how it is he is most like "Grumpy". I'm hoping this vacation we will not see a lot of Grumpy, but instead Prince Charming!

Megan - Ariel! She even has the red hair. She is curious and fun, but can be a bit mischievous at times too.

Grady - Simba. He is so young and playful, but smart. He loves an adventure and to see how things work.

Me - I'm not sure. Mary Poppins comes to mind. I'm kinda a school marm that likes to make things fun.

I am sure you can guess my answer of the week, of course Peter Pan and my wife would be Tinkerbell. She has so many tinkerbell items that they take up a complete china closet. My grand daughters just love her collection.

Only two months and we get to board the Magic. Can't wait.

When do we get to book Palo's on the ship. Any special time that they open for reservations?

For past cruisers, is getting the Passporter worth it? We had one for our first cruise, but haven't bought another.

Can you tell I really want to go on this cruise. I can't wait. It's like I need a cruise fix.

Thanks for the links to those shirts. We're going to make an attempt at that or the tie dye, but that looks way beyond my meager crafting skills. Of course one kid wants the swirls, the other the tie dye. They never agree. If one said the sky was blue, the other would say orange.

I am very disappointed that no one else (except Erica of course) has started a Pre-TR for our cruise?? COME ON.........I need something else to do to pass the time

I am making my Fish Extender pocket for "Dad" big enough to fit one of those camcorders.

We finally found a Wii Fit today and have been playing it for hours! I wish I had my camcorder charged and ready to tape Grady trying the virtual Hula Hoops! Some boys just don't have hip motion!

I'm so jealous! We haven't been able to find one yet. One day.....

Now that things have calmed down some, and we're getting back into our routine, I finally had the chance to download photos from Alex's Christening. Here's a few: one of all the kids, and then one of him after his first dunk (they go under three times).

Hey all. Brandie and Erik your answers alone are making this my favourtie QOTW Bratty fairy Uh, Erica and Panmanman you skipped the WHY part of the question. That is the FUN part!!!!

Okay, so I promised answers for us tonight. I sprang it on everyone at lunch. Someone said "Well, Mairka is easy" and then we all four said "BELLE!" pretty muc in unison.
Marika is Belle like in obvious ways--she has long brwon hair and big brown eyes and she READS all the time==LOVE books==had the hoghest circulatiopn of any library card in two towns in 2007 But, it is the less obvious that make her so very Bellish. She does not judge people on their looks, doesn't enjoy "trying" to converse with "people who are positivly primeval," she doesn't give a whit who is popular or who she is "supposed" to like and she isn't afraid to stand up to (or boss around ) ANYONE if she knows she is right (even a beast!).

The rest of us were much harder to pin point. Many of the QOTWs have been hard to narrow down (ONE favourite of just about anything is impossible for me), but I felt I could just put one of my many favs and call it good. Somehow taht is just not working here

So, after turning down many suggestions (none of which felt totally right to any of us) Rio came up with a great one (but not animated). Ryan from HSM and HSM2. Rio, like Ryan, loves to dance and perform and have an audience. The yboth have excellent taste in clothes--especailly hats They bot hrelaly want to get along wit hand be nice to evrybody (okay that is more HSM2) and just be themselves no matter what others think of that. Oh, and they both have bossy sisters (but Marika is not that mean ).

Rachel: Snow White, she is very caring, kind & motherly, most of the time soft spoken except when she and Crissichef's DD get together then WATCH OUT She always takes care of the little kids and has very beautiful white skin

Matthew: Stitch ALL THE WAY, Matthew's bday is 6/19 so we used to refer to him as Experiement 619 instead of 626! He is always getting into things and being a nudge but also has great love for the people he truly cares about!

Murphy: our 11 month old boxer is GOOFY, pretty self explanatory, not the brighest dog but loveable

Ds : Donald duck: he can be a real stinker, he likes to be the boss, but can be soo much fun.

middle dd: Minnie: sweet, lovable. the girly girl.

oldest dd: Gabriella.. loves school. I would have said Belle but she doesnt like to read. She could care less about the girl drama.

These days Dale (Crissi's DH) is a cross between Goofy and Grumpy
if I had to pick for Crissi, I would say Mary Poppins, simply for the fact that is you need something she has it, her house is the Mary Poppins Bag

Me: Jessica Rabbit...........JUST KIDDING I would probably say Tink.

DH: Mr. Incredible. He is a big strong guy and he is my super hero (you can all proceed to the bathroom to throw up now )

DD: Ariel from Little Mermaid. She is VERY busy and adventurous and she never stops singing (if she only had Ariel's voice don't tell her I said that )

DS: Stitch! He makes me want to rip my own hair out at times , and yet he is so loveable

WalMart! Our friends were on the wait list and when the call came in we made a bee line to the store!

It's a real hoot! We had to move the Wii into the living room because the family room didn't have enough room to play without hitting something.
