Totally forgot to drop by and tell you about the competition results.
It was Starpower (Amy you might be familiar with that one)
Let me just say CRRRRRRRRAAAAZY!
I've done plenty of cheer competitions (local/regional) and they pale in comaprison to this. It was nuts!
Anyway, the girls did a great job. The scale is like the olympics...HM, Bronze , Silver, Gold, Elite Gold, Platinum, Elite platinum. They got Elite Gold, a 'Great Confidence' Special Award, and first place in the division! I have one pic (sshhh we weren't supposed to take any) but it is blurry and awful, and you can't see Savannah anyway. I was a little dissapointed she did not win the Photogenic category, she had an amazing photo. The winner was actually a friend of hers also from our studio, actually one of the daughters of her cheer coach, so at least one of the best girls won...not that I'm prejudiuced..LOL
So I have been spending a lot of my spare time searching public records. I have been trying to track down my dad (long story) and an old friend of mine, my best friend from elementary school.
I found her brother on FB, he is all the way in Seattle! I am afraid to send him a message asking about her...what if something bad happened to her? Normally I wouldn't be so paranoid but I found all the rest of her family on there....everyone but her. They are all older too and I find it really strange she doesn't have FB or MS. I'm sure he would remember me, I practically lived at their house between the ages of 6 and 12. I just keep thinking to myself what he must think of why I lost track of her for 20 years...I The last I actually heard of her was in the paper...she was involved in a big pot bust about 15 years ago....(lol, yes I checked the arrest records!) The funniest thing is her brothers and all her step sisters...back in the day they were WILD. Now they all look so normal and boring!
I guess for now I'll stay quiet! (Why is there no chicken smilie)!
Jen: Great job to Savannah.I am so thankful that our cheer season is FINALLY over. Just in time to give me a few weeks to rest before baby comes
(i.e. working on my scrapbook) but I've opted to check in with all my DD buddies!

So right now I'm sitting at a computer out in Lancaster County, PA. My sister and I are at a scrapbooking weekend. We've been going to these for quite a few years (usually twice a year). We were going a bit closer to home but that particular group has priced themselves out of our budgets! So, about 2 years ago, my sister found this place. They had set up a crop house with three bedrooms (so sleeps 12) and the living room was set up to scrapbook (nice tables, comfortable chairs, etc). You can rent the whole place as a group and run it yourself, rent the place and have them host it (meaning they do all the cooking) or about once a month or so, they have a "cozy crop" where you can reserve just one spot and they host the entire thing. They normally run Friday to Sunday but last time we opted to do the extra Thursday night (you get to use the place but you're on your own for food). And they've added a second house with five bedrooms and the scrapping area is even bigger! Turns out this weekend that my sister and I were the only ones opting for the extra Thursday night. When she was telling this to her husband he sooo wanted to drive out in the middle of the night to spook us! Thankfully he's on a business trip in Chicago!!!
So she's still snoozing and I'm up bright and early (okay not bright since it's raining) and we're the only ones in the house. I should be using my time wisely

My kids last day of spring break is today, this school district is all backwards lol
tomorrow we are going to go to Amish country. the kids like to go to the Shearers outlet and eat cheese!! I love the homemade breads.

We are suprizing the boys today taking them to the wild animal park in SD. They are still sleeping so they dont even know E and I are home from work LOL They have been talking about wanting to go to the zoo but the SD zoo is horrible so I thought we would try the Wild Animal park since we have never been in the 10yrs that we have lived in/near San Diego LOL Gonna try and talk them into going to see the Fast and the Furious tonight or the weekend to see my boyfriend Vin D.
