Steve is back in the US- but it'll probably be another week 'til he gets home. He landed in Baltimore this afternoon. And this is end of tour, so no more deployments between now and when his contract is up next year unless there's a heinous military emergency.

WOOHOO Man that would kill me knowing he's so close yet so far still. Ill hope the last week goes fast. So is he getting out?

Kids are fine. Alex is scheduled for surgery April 27th for reinsertion of ear tubes. He still has a moderate hearing loss without them, and has lost one so--
Also he'll probably have surgery this summer to close the hole behind his nose, so only three or four left for the palate after that.

We'll make sure to schedule it early in the summer as our surprise cruise (still haven't slipped up and blown it by telling the kids- they think we're going on the Carnival Glory) is earlier in September and we don't want any close calls this time.

We havent let it slip about going to see the mouse either.. mostly im scared to tell the boys cuz I think they will want to cruise instead. SO I figure if they find out there going to WDW instead of E's moms house (which is BORING LOL and where we are going to tell them we are going for vacation) they will be thrilled (or at least that what I keep telling mysel LOL

Hope you all are doing well...sadly I don't find myself on the dis much anymore since I don't have any intensive planning to do. I know I have a trip report to finish (which I will eventually)...

It's competition weekend for us too (dance)...only we are going to Lakeland...let me tell you..NOT as exciting as BC!

Thank goodness I am off tonight. I don't know why Thursday nights and Friday nights are so wacky at work. Every week someting else nutty happens. It's like a full moon every week.

We've been trying to plan Sarah's first birthday party. I know one thing, I am not having it at my house...I seriously have not recovered from Christmas when all of the neices and nephews got into our games in the closet and spread all the Sorry, Trouble, Elephun, Candy Land, Chutes & Ladders, etc. (you get the idea) pieces all over the place. I am over all the usual suspect ideas (the park, Chuck E Cheese, the inflatable places...) and need to come up with something good. Let me know if ya'll have any ideas!

Well, I'm off to stock a caboodle with fake eyelashes (so my favorite part of competitions. I must say if you have never tried applying those to a wiggly whiny 7 or 8 year old, you are so missing out! LOL!)

So glad for you that he's safely back on US soil. I'm sure these next few days will fly by. Before you know it, he'll be bugging you and you'll be sending him on errands just to get a breather!!!

Well we are back from GA... it rained almost the entire weekend, so that was a damper, but it is nice to see green leaves and flowers, ( not the snow we got in Cleveland.) We found the neighborhood we want, now to just figure out which house.

We are back from Canada. I am proud to announce that Madison's team can now add INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS to their resumes! They beat alll 5 teams, U.S. & Canadian, that they were up against in their bracket. It was very exciting, but I am so glad to be home.

Drea - That's a repo I would like to do too. I so wanted to do the PC but didn't act in time. Should be interesting as to when they actually decide to open the schedule since it will depend on the new ship and whether that encounters any issues (hopefully not!). The bad news is that it will be somewhat close (probably within a couple of months) of the Magic WB TA in Sep 2010 so making the $$ fit could be interesting!

No itinerary's yet, But im guessing mexican rivera's? if they do 7days, if not 3 and 4 days ones to Ensenada and Catalina. I think i read some where else Hawaii. It was thought Alaska but they pulled the permit on that one.

I just found out last night ( I am a little slow) that the country music awards are at the MGM Sunday night in Vegas. We will be there Monday morning. Wonder if we will see anyone. ( it might help if I even liked country music.) John said had I known, we should have went out Sunday.
