I'm packing now. How can one solo traveller have so much... Now I've got a pile thats "stay home, can't fit in suitcase". If you can't lift it you can't take it.

45 lbs is all I can manage, so thats what I am taking. I did change my carry-on to a rolling backpack instead of a shoulder bag. I'll be OK.
I'm not going to take my Sony camera this time. Too bulky to carry. I packed a few disposable cameras. This is a chill out trip for me. Can't wait. Aunt Michele

If anyone is looking for something to do in Grand Cayman I just booked Stringray City thru www.Mobydicktours.com. They just called me and said the weather looks perfect.

They sound so perfect. Since the first tour was full they just opened up a 2nd one at 10:40 island time. Much better than first thing in the morning for us anyway.

I got thier info of Trip advisor. I love trip advisor its so informative

Hi everyone,
Just giving a quick update. We left NC at 5:27am and got here at 4:59PM. Long day in the car. DS was absolutely wonderful for such a long trip. He only got cranky once and none of us argued LOL Best family traveling in history.

we had a wonderful breakfast at McD and that kept us full for most of the day. We stopped off for a filling lunch at Chick-fil-a and tonight we will be dining with relatives in their home where we are staying until Sat.


Homemade spaghetti and salad yumm. After a swim in their private pool tonight we will play some type of board games and then off to a relaxing evening in our guest quarters.


Seriously thanks for all the prayers and good wishes. We ran into no trouble traveling. I'll be praying for safety for all and try to check in and catch up a little on the boards.

I have 3 digital underwater camers and 1 disposal underwater camera.. Plus you know we will have a ton of cameras any way so you'll get copies of whatever pictures you need..

After looking at the pics someone posted who is on the Magic now I am SO glad we are not the first cruise out of dry dock - whew! Did you see the pics of the green water in the pool? Yuck!!!

Looks like most of the time was spent doing work somewhere else besides the public areas of the ship - other than the tv's. I hope it is all back up and running right on Saturday!

Just got our seats confirmed on Airtran, doesnt look like the flight is full. and the time is still the same.

We have checked in for our flight tomorrow and printed our boarding passes. I think my wife is finally thinking about the cruise. She asked me this morning which ship we would be on. "The Magic, right?" Oh my. Some people just don't get it.

It also says that ALOT of the new things that were supose to be done, were not done.. and YET.. the RUSHED to have it in the water..

Well, I have only been on the Wonder twice and never on the Magic. I honestly don't see me being disappointed about anything. I'm just looking forward to seven days on the ship!!

Well... add us to the list of hurt /sick people. I got a call at lunch time that Braden (6 years) was hurt at school. The lady in the office said I needed to take him to urgent care. A little boy pushed him off the slide and he fell and hit his head. He ended up getting 2 staples in the back of his head..

Soooo, Denise.. or any other RN's.. anybody feel like taking staples out in a week??

Remember to lift the mattress up to store empty suitcases underneath.
