I'll chime in also, I don't know what they serve onboard because I'm not much of a beer drinker. I don't know how much alcohol you are allowed to bring but I do know it has to be in the carry-on. Sorry I can't answer much else! I hope you didn't think we were ignoring you, I think everyone is kind of caught up in the stresses and excitement of packing! Maybe check on the main boards? I'll have a look and see if I can find anything out for you

Thank you very much. That's pretty much what I was looking for. I'm not much of a beer drinker neither, but tasted the new Bud Light Lime and really enjoyed it, so I was hoping to take a case on.

I know what you mean about all the excitment . We are leaving to POP early Wed morning and all I have packed is my whole medicine cabinet and fish extender stuff. NO CLOTHES PACKED YET

Snagged a room at All Star Sports for $59.

Can utilize the bus service vs. pay to park if staying outside WDW.


Hope they let us in at 4ish like other reports have stated.
I also read that duing MNSSHP strollers are free....Any confirmations from this year???

For those going to MNSSHP pre cruise be sure to let me know. Also let me know if there are free strollers at what time do they become free.

for those feeling sick...I"m there two but I think its nerves that I wont' get everthing done in time. My boss is REALLY stressing out over the fact that I"m not going to be here next week.

My boss is the same - all gloomy - probably more because he wishes he was going on the cruise

Call and give code QXZ and ask if reservation can be adjusted.
Keep in mind it is a minimum 3 night stay and you have to buy at least a 1 park 1 day ticket for everyone in the group.



OK Beer. The domestics they carry are bud, bud lite, miller lite, coors lite.
There is no algorithm behind which bar will have what.

I have also seen (drank) michelob ultra.

The premium beers I have seen are Corona, Heineken and Amstel lite
Keep in mind if you order a bottled beer they will pour it for you in a plastic cup if you are on deck.
If you order the room service beers you should order 5 and you get one free. They come in cans. So always order 6. This can be done in the restaurants as well. (Same goes for soda but ordeing can soda in restaurant is not the best move as the draft soda is free)

In diversions they actually have Guiness on tap.
Also in the lounges you will find some more premium beers but they seem to change.

The current stated policy is any liquids alcohol or non have to be carried on board and must fit thru the security x ray machine.

I recommend bringing cans as not to mess with breakage and also as a safety precaution on deck.
Ask your room steward for the large container of ice and he/she will produce a wok size clear container filled with ice with a lid. Simply place your beer in this and take as needed)

A recon flight is on the way (or the way back) - the update from the flight is expected around 2pm. Some thinking I've read on the flhurricane site thinks it will go up the NE coast of the US - impacting more NC or VA, etc. Here is a model: http://moe.met.fsu.edu/mm5/INVEST93L.d1-merge.track2.png The numbers in the model are hours away - so IF that model came true (which is a super huge IF!!!) it would hit the coast on Friday. You really have to take that model with a grain of salt though - but whatever impact it has it would probably be towards the end of the week. Many models thing it might be a Cat 2 in 3-4 days.

Mmmmm. . . NC and Cat 2 in the same paragraph. The only time I like that combination is if we are given an upgrade on the boat!

We are "borrowing" space for his adult teeth to come in. Poor guy has his daddys big teeth and my little mouth.

I was wondering if we need a light jacket for Friday night at MNSSHP.....or maybe rain ponchos?

Our yellow Mickey rain ponchos are already in the MNSSHP bag! I use them as insurance. If I cart them around it won't rain! Right?

One of our suitcases was searched last time we flew down for the cruise - no magnets in there. I didn't notice it was searched until the next day when I saw the note they put in it. I had been taking stuff out of it but just didn't see the note.

The last time we all visited Oregon we stayed 2 weeks. We purchased a metal sclupture from an artist friend and put all our dirty laundry in one big suitcase with the metal artwork in the middle. I didn't even think this would cause a problem, but it was the only bag searched. I felt for the guy having to sort through 2 weeks of dirty laundry for 4 people. YUK!

Ok, so as you may know, I paid for an upgrade from a Cat 11 to a Cat 7. I went to check if I had received a room number yet, and I did! It's a Cat 4 on Deck 8!!! So, we got another upgrade, this time for Free!!!!

If I wasn't so happy with my SPH I would feel hurt that DCL didn't give me an upgrade! Way to go!

are you sure you aren't talking about my husband? He started packing but every time I tried to do something it was drama. I'm tried from Elliott being so sick and the last thing I needed was flack from him over little things (and I know he's tired t0o but man I can't wait until we are on the 'big boat'.)

I thought I was the only one with the Drama King for a DH.

I worked on packing yesterday and decided that my FE gifts should find a suitcase. I was planning on sticking them into my rolling carry on with some other stuff, but they did not fit! It's a good thing I was only planning to bring 4 suitcases because now I have 5. I hope I can stash them all under the bed.

Well, this is my only night that I don't have something to do before we leave, so I'm going to try and finish up all the packing.

I WANNA GO. DH keep shooting the idea down. I keep telling him it would be educational and he keeps telling me it would cost more to change our flights.

But hey..maybe that means I can con him into our going next year. (yeah right...I keep trying to get him to consider Disney Vacation Club and he hasn't gone for that one either).

Well, I shouldn't say a solo. . . I'm starting and ending an Allison Kraus (SP?) song - I think it's called, "Down To The River To Pray" and I have another part in a praise song, but it's unusual for me to get to sing alone. It figures I will be drawing attention to myself when I have to wear jeans.

We have several Chik Fil A's here - Well, we are in NC! Doug eats there at least once a week. I don't think he would starve it he couldn't eat there, but he would not be a happy camper!

Chick Fil A originated here in the Atlanta area, and Truett Cathy - the founder - spoke at our church's Wild Game Dinner this past Thursday night. He was awesome. I can't believe he's 87 years old. I love the CFA food, too. Yummy!

MMMM Chick Fil-A mmm they yummy chicken sandwich and SWEET TEA - Oh how I miss Southern Sweet Tea! I can't wait to get back to the States!

Sweet tea is an ESSENTIAL in my world. Although, I've heard it's not-so-good on the ship. I may have to drink juice all week!

My husband is flying out of Iraq today to Kuwait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He just called!

Yeah I agree.....just once I would like for a doctor to say "you know..your the mom....you are with them more than I am....so you tell me what is going on and we'll figure out how to fix it.." JUST ONCE I want that to happen.

LOL!! Our pediatrician does that to me from time to time. One time, he even said "You knew what he had. You just needed me to write the prescription." Ummmm ... Yep! LOL!!

Monday a week ago I went to the dr. for poison and for something to stop the itch.....well I thought it was under control until today. I woke up this morning with new breakouts on my arms top and bottom from my wrist to my arm pits, from the front of my knees on up and now even my stomach. I am soooooooo itchy........ Some of the spots are small red dots and others are large red welts in no special pattern. This definitely is NOT poison ivy (which I originally thought)! Off to the dr. again tomorrow........

My son and the kids were hear early this morning to spend the day with us and the kids were flying with excitement. Both girls are really congested and coughing with allergies though. Jessica, the oldest, slept most of the day and couldn't get warm. Off to the dr. for them also.

Here's hoping the weather holds off until we are at least in FL Fri.

It sounds like poison ivy to me. I had a bad case over the summer. I basically toughed it out (because I am a moron), but someone recommended a scrub called TechNu or something like that. I can't vouch for it since I didn't use it. I did notice that my face cleared up way before the rest of me, and the only thing I can come up with is that I continued to use my Clearasil face scrub. So, I thought maybe that Technu scrub stuff might have helped the rest of me??? See if the doc knows about it.

YUP! That's really all I'm concerned about. I just want the flight to be able to take off on time and land reasonably on time. We have tickets to the MNSSHP and I'd hate to miss it. I don't care what happens once I'm down there!!! I've said from the start, if I can't get on a flight to get out of PHL; I'll just grab a car and drive down!!!! I'm not going to miss that boat!!!!!!

Have you been talking to Denise? She has the plan all laid out if we don't think the planes will be flying. If we leave at midnight on Thurs. night we can get there on Friday late to make the boat on Saturday. I would really rather fly, but if there is no other way to get to the boat, I'm in!
