"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Chapter 4!

AHHHHHHH so got my pics saved but my hard drive is the issue so dell has to send out a new one.. So all weekend long I was without you all.. Man I missed you all!

BUT I did get packing all done except for the odds and ends... and well E still isnt packed.. the 1 thing he has to do and last night he asked me to do it for him.. HA ya right.. your a big boy you get sent to IRAQ to fight in a war... I have done EVERYTHING FOR THIS VACATION you can at least pack for yourself. Sufice to say we got in a fight last night LOL Way to start a vacation huh. Well be over it by the time I get home from work tonight. Cuz he wont be there LOL He's going to the Charger/Jets game so I will get much more stuff done without him LOL. And if he values his life he will go to work early to get his laptop so I have internet at home tonight like I asked him but wellp not holding my breath

Going to try and catch up with you all but with work.. its not likely LOL so dont be to chatty today so I can catch up LOL

DH balked at packing this weekend... said something about packing on "Tuesday night." I asked him what he needed washed, because I needed to do major amounts of laundry this weekend (among the other chores). He said he was just wearing the "normal pants and such." *eyebrow raise* I think the red dots in my eyes and the mountains of laundry changed his mind to get started moving and help me.

What is it about vacation that is so frustrating??? Mr. Stick-in-the-mud is actually excited about going this time, though. That helps a lot. Oh, and he took me shoes shopping and actually got himself water shoes without the normal drama.

Have I mentioned how he hates the beach? He likes looking at water, just hates being IN the water. I swear, he's getting reincarnated next time as a cat or a mule.

are you sure you aren't talking about my husband? He started packing but every time I tried to do something it was drama. I'm tried from Elliott being so sick and the last thing I needed was flack from him over little things (and I know he's tired t0o but man I can't wait until we are on the 'big boat'.)

National is doing midsize with AAA rate for 12.33 a day.
Killer.
And on the website there is $30 off a weekly rental

MCO to MCO only.

You would have to weigh in the cost of

parking at port
or
free parking at port hotel while you are on cruise.

This equation may work out for those of you going a few days early and a few days after.

Because the Port Canaveral rate STINKS!!!


Here is a sample

I can get a 9 day mid-size
Because you get mid size via emerald aisle there are always full size cars and mini vans available

Price is $110 for 9 days with AAA rate and $30 off coupon

If you stay at hotel in Port Canaveral with free parking then you have to factor in shuttle/tips.

Or you can pay a luxury of parking at port which i believe will be $105 for the week.
Factor in not having to deal with shuttle etc.


This equation may be cost efficient for some or be slightly higher than two one way trips but not as big of a hassle. It definetly becomes more of a zero sum game if you are planning on staying somewhere for a few days before and after cruise

I wanted to know if anyone had done the Island tour in Grand Cayman. We are set up to do the stingrays that morning and I thought it might be fun to do the Island tour later. Do you just hop a cab at the pier or are there companies that have island tours at the pier?
Any help please.

We are doing Nativeway but they are expensive to do the rays and island.

Yep, we have gone to Hell - its pretty wild and something I think everyone should probably see once, its kind of amazing how it is stuck right in the middle of everything. The gift shop is hilarious (postcards from Hell, etc). Here's a pic

Forgot to mention, we just hopped in one of the cabs, can't remember how much I want to say $20 ea for an hour and 1/2 tour including trip to the rum cakes!

Im a lil worried I left E to pack on his own.. and well Told him he has 1 just 1suitcase for himself. The boys and 1 are all together in 2. So he only has 1 (kept reminding him only 1) as when he goes to IRAQ is only allowed 2 bags and take 3 AND a footlocker. LOL. SO when I get home we shall see how he did.. IF he even did anything LOL

Just be careful with the Magnet next to the Laptop.. Most laptops they tell you not to put magnets or cameras or even cell phones near them
