Okay - I thought I would ask on this thread before I post out on the main DCL board.

For those of you that have done the magnets for your door before and travel by plane - do you pack them in your checked luggage or carry on luggage??

I had planned to take them in my carry on but will they "set" anything off when going through security? I certainly don't want to cause any issues.

I asked because Amy told me that her one suitcase was "inspected" and this was the suitcase where she had the magnets (along with her FE's).

What does everyone do?

I was wondering if we need a light jacket for Friday night at MNSSHP.....or maybe rain ponchos?

Glad to hear Amy & Dave are having a good time. They would need a kick in the butt if they weren't.

Monday a week ago I went to the dr. for poison and for something to stop the itch.....well I thought it was under control until today. I woke up this morning with new breakouts on my arms top and bottom from my wrist to my arm pits, from the front of my knees on up and now even my stomach. I am soooooooo itchy........ Some of the spots are small red dots and others are large red welts in no special pattern. This definitely is NOT poison ivy (which I originally thought)! Off to the dr. again tomorrow........

My son and the kids were hear early this morning to spend the day with us and the kids were flying with excitement. Both girls are really congested and coughing with allergies though. Jessica, the oldest, slept most of the day and couldn't get warm. Off to the dr. for them also.

Here's hoping the weather holds off until we are at least in FL Fri.

Off to bed now and hopefully some sleep......itchy.....itchy......itchy...

They have this breakfast 'sandwich' that are their little nuggets in a tiny yeast roll....man are they good. Their chicken is very moist which is why I like it so much.

Ohhhhh....the chicken sandwiches are so goooood. And Reese loves their chicken nuggets, which are TOTALLY different shape/texture/flavor than McDonald's. You gotta try them

We also tip extra....For all the food and great service you get..its well worth it...Plus we we be going to Dinner 2x and bunch once!!!!!!

Do you just use your key card or whatever it's called or do you have to take cash to tip that night?

NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! As long as we can get out of the Carolinas and down I-95 before there is trouble I'll be OK with that! I just want to get on the ship!!!



Don't forget to bring a cork screw (If you can?) There is a $15.00 uncorking fee if your server opens it.

Thanks! I feel a little better. Maybe it was just a random search on Amy's luggage.

One of our suitcases was searched last time we flew down for the cruise - no magnets in there. I didn't notice it was searched until the next day when I saw the note they put in it. I had been taking stuff out of it but just didn't see the note.

I guess always good to realize they could open and go through the suitcase so any small things that could fall out I try to bunch in ziplocs.

Whoever is scratching and thought it was Poison Ivy (I read it, can't remember who it was)...

Get to the doctor right away - my husband had horrible poison ivy that spread everywhere - they put him on some kind of steroid pill and heavy duty cream.

MAKE SURE you ask the doctor if the pill can cause you to sunburn easier - because I remember this with my husband. YOU definitely want to ask about exposure to the sun.

Ok, so as you may know, I paid for an upgrade from a Cat 11 to a Cat 7. I went to check if I had received a room number yet, and I did! It's a Cat 4 on Deck 8!!! So, we got another upgrade, this time for Free!!!!

As a reminder to everyone out there....if anyone else upgrades or switches (or has to make an unfortunate last minute cancellation) before we board the ship....you can still PM me with that info and I will update the list. I'm checking my emails and my PM's (even if I dont read the whole board....although you guys were less chatty yesterday) daily....and will probably check it all even on Saturday morning before Hadley's towncar service picks us up at 8am to get to the port.
