Beach towels: I dont like the little rinky dink towels, I need the bigger towelsso I plan to buy one on Castaway Cay and use it for other excrusionns, the kids and Steve are FINE with little towels.

We are.. just dont drink the water.. ive never had any problem when I go to mexico.. granted its only Ensenada, Puerto Nuevo, or TJ (yet we mostly just eat off those lil carts in the street so they cant be very clean LOL, that what happens after a late night of drinking), Im thinking most of these tourst places are pretty clean (hopefully) if not one bad outbreak and news would spread and people wouldnt want to go there.

Water: We might throw in some bottles but I stocked up on the single packet crystal lights to add to the ship water, I am not a picky water drinker

Bag for Dolphins: I already packed my FE/SM gifts in one of my Vera's tic tac totes...capri melon to be exact, and I plan to use that on excursions and then to bring all my goodies home! Awesome news about lockers

We are going to Nachi Cocom on Cozumel day. We were planning on eating there.......is that a bad idea?

FE/SM:I am bringing my FE/SM gifts with us, but there is no way they were going to fit in a carry on So, we will be paying for an extra bag.

Group picture: I hope that we will be able to be a part of this. Although I did not buy or make shirts with the logo.

Towels: I bought Disney towels for the kids to put in their gift bags for the cruise. DH and I will just be using DCL towels.

MNSSHP: Will it get cold at night at WDW? DD will be dressed up as Tinkerbell and I am wondering if I should get her some leggings to wear with it and bring jackets for everyone. Also, how much is it to rent a stroller at WDW? Is there a limited supply, or are there plenty?

We do have electricity now...it came back on late Monday night. I've gotten to spend the last two nights in my very own bed . We are not expecting anything from Ike but rain (like we need more rain) but at least this time we won't have to leave. We are far enough north that this won't bother us (if you look at a map of LA we are at the very top left point of lake ponchatrain (big body of water in the 'toe' of the 'boot' of Louisiana).

This means that I GET TO WORK ON CRUISE STUFF THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get to pack up our box to send, finsih up my FE gifts, finish pirate costumes and start packing........

So glad to hear you are back home and that you should be able to stay there through Ike!!

My ear has been bothering me lately, no pain, but feels wet inside.. I thought it was wax but when I clean it, there is nothing coming out.. It clogs up or feels fuzzy when I yawn then pops..

So I went to the DR's today and was told I don't have an ear infection but I do have an infection of some kind..

She said my gland is swollen.. so I am on a 4 day Antibiotic, then ear drops for wax removal.. and back to the DR's for a recheck in 11 days..

Hope you feel better real soon!!

Mnsshp: shhhh strollers are free!! atleast they were last year for the party only. 10 is the regular, 15 for a double.


when we arrived at 4 it was 90 degrees. ( we went in Oct ) by the end of the night we all had our Steeler jerseys.... they are a little lighter than a jacket. I might bring leggings etc.... she might get uncomfortable in her costume the whole night.

Someone earlier asked about counter service.
there are hamburgers and the fixings, by big thunder mountain...
hot dogs -- more than one location
I think there are 5 counter service places. ( but I am not sure if they run special hours for the party.) Cosmic Rays has a few places to eat. plus there are ice cream carts all over, turkey legs, popcorn.

Denise: I filled out the vacation form for my oldest yesterday, the principal signed it... questionable? what like I am not going to take her. on my other daughters I am going to put an educational trip to Mexico. see if he likes that one better.

We also will be eating in Cozumel...never had a problem before...actually the food is pretty good on the island...Arin...we are going on the beach break too...so we will know if its the food

We are going to eat all over the island....Coconuts, Mezcalitos & Margaritaville. I'm especially looking forward to checking out some of the little bakeries!

You won't need them. Not in September. I promise.

$15/day single. $31/day double. (THe price went up earlier this year) but if you are entering the park in the afternoon for just the party you may be able to snag an abandoned one. There is plenty of availability if you can't find a freebie.

Counter service, our fave is Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square. Chicken, fish, soup, sandwiches. The seating upstairs is great! Usually not crowded and great view of FL/LS.

So sad we can't hit the parks before the cruise....

This is very important!

The main counter service locations close VERY early in the evening during the parties. 8 or 9 PM latest, IIRC. We were starving last year at MVMCP and ended up getting nasty old soggy pretzels from a cart cause that's all we could find.

Folks are saying they are charging for the strollers during the party this year. Maybe someone already noted that!

FatCat thanks for the heads up...got a lower rate for 9/27 but could not for 10/4....one question though...I got a rate of $31 for 9/27however,.......that does not include $10 cost of booster/car seat for DD and apparently there is a $15 one-way fee. T conf email does state that "Total cost" does not include carseats. Not sure about the one way fee.....the reservation is for one way so any fees should be built in....plan on arguing that one at the counter!

They never add in the charge for the car seat until you get there. I did this on our trip a few years ago and they added it when you picked up the rental. We plan on bringing a small lightweight booster for DS3 so we do not have to rent one. I only paid $13 for it and they charge $10 per day to rent it!

why dont you just buy it once you get to Cocoa Beach? Stop at the Walmart or target there. Im sure they will have something in their travel section for $1. Thats what Im planning on doing.. along with the other toiletrie items.

oh and where were those sheets the 1st time E went to Iraq and they had no detergent around to buy and I had to buy those heavy tabs they had and send it to him.. These sheets would have saved me TONS in shipping costs lol

Yeah, I was thinking about buying the soap in Fl. I just don't want to get stuck looking for a small box that will fit in my suitcase. If Target has it cool, but Walmart.. I won't go in there.

We've always specified brand and size. But you can say "store brand OK" if you don't care. Or, for snacks, if you want cookies, just tell her "Oreos" or "Keebler chocolate chip chewy" or whatever and she'll do a good job. She's also called me before when what I wanted wasn't available and she had to substitute. And, if you call when you place your order, you can request a time for delivery & she's always very reliable!

Thanks, good to know they are reliable incase we decide to have our groceries delivered.

As far of those renting a car, don't forget to bring along proof of your auto insurance because you'll need it in order to rent a car in FL.

Not another Hannah! We had a small tornado in Allentown...the high school it damaged on Saturday just reopened today. Tornados don't happen all that often around here, thankfully!

I'm watching this special about Sept. 11 on the History Channel...it is so sad.

Ok .... I'm feeling like the cruise is just around the corner. I have all but one of my door magnets printed. All but 2 of them are laminated with magnet backs (Yippee Xyron!!!). I'm really pleased with them!!!! I know I won't have as many as most of you, but I'm excited about what I've done!

I'm online fighting with Sprint customer service. Lemme just say...I am SO over fighting with them!! Problems with charges, problems with new phones not working, problems with improper billing...all since we talked with the retention department in July and renewed our contract.

The latest....they were supposed to send out a new phone to me to replace the damaged one they sent in the first place. This was in July. Months later, still waiting...been told it was on backorder. Then was told last night that there was NO order at all. So that was taken care of, until we get an email today saying we'll be charged $290 for the phone.

So now they're telling me they can see the "pending" charge, but won't credit it because it MAY get posted. Uh huh. As if there's a chance it won't? I ask...why can't you credit my account for the $290 since you SEE it is going to be charged, and then if it is double credited, Sprint can fix that problem. She tells me I have to call BACK again when I'm charged so they can take it off. Grrrrrrr.....I have a headache

Sorry to unload all that boring complaining on you all...

We had an issue with some charges on our ATT (old Cingular) bill about a month ago. They didn't argue at all. Just took it all off and fixed our plan. Whew. I was very happy about that! I hope you get the situation with Sprint fixed SOON. Sounds like it's been an issue for far too long.

Okay, if the weather gets bad, it's dd Sadie's fault. She's a bad weather magnet. She's drawn bad weather to us in three continents, including the worst blizzards in a long time in southern China. If we have to get rid of her, we will. Honestly. We'll sacrifice her to the weather demons or whatever. Or maybe she'll cause our cruise to be extended because we won't be able to make it back to port. That could work.
