The response to the previous polls have been anemic, so I'm fine with you guys choosing a time for the photo shoot and calling it good.

No matter what, people will have conflicts that pop up. I'd love to have a perfect time, but I don't think there is one.

I'll start a thread over there for it to be talked about, so we can keep up with responses specifically to that subject. :)

Unless you're concierge, you find out for sure when you get your key to the world cards. There's a rumor you can call DCL and find out, but I'm not sure about that.

I thought I was done with shopping until I went to Kohls today. they had tank tops for the girls for under $2.00. ( with the 30%off coupon). so they have lots of clothes now.

Charlie glad you are feeling better, crutches are a pain, but think of all that extra exercise.:lmao:

Chris: dh would like that kind of bling too. :lmao:

Kimberly: Oh my gosh. :) gives new meaning to "pop" tart

My poor grandson Bryce.....he's the only 13 year old in our group......oh wait....more Gram time for me;)

We are having lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe on Fri. 9/26 (Jenny has 2 $50 gift cards for there) and then we are going to MNSSHP at 4pm. We didn't realize we needed to book a restaurant to eat dinner at the park. Jeninpa chose the Crystal Palace and they are booked. So now what do we do?

Is it more expensive to eat at a restaurant than to just grab fast food anywhere in the park? The kids love buffets.

Call DCL Dining and ask them to find a buffet in the MK which has an opening, if the kids love buffets. The person on the line has the ability to look for openings. :thumbsup2

The buffets normally run 25 per person for an adult
13? ish for kids. ( 3-9 age).
we do the counter service for MNSSHP because we dont want to waste an hour or sitting for dinner. meals there can run about 8 per adult, 5 for some kids meals. (this includes a drink too) maybe a little bit more. cant remember from last year. is there anyway to do a later lunch? that way you can just get snacks at MK?

We just had a freaky car accident. We were backing out of a parking space in a lot in Manalapan NJ and the front bumper caught on the stand alone concrete on the ground and pulled off the entire front bumper of our 2000 Nissan Altima. Scared the H__L out of us. No one was hurt, but we filed a police report, and we had to tie up the bumper so we could get the car home.
Aunt Michele & Uncle Bud
:scared1: Just want you DON'T want to have happen...

Here's what I ate for breakfast this morning....

Is it just me, or can I say maybe Kellogg's should have chosen a different hat for that character? :confused3 :rotfl2:
:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Parents these days...Don't even know the gender of their kids.
:lmao:

You all are in rare form - we could almost write a sitcom out of some of this stuff!

Its a gloomy day here in TX no sun and from the look of Ike could be an interesting weekend. I cannot believe that 3 Wednesday's from now I will be freaking out because I still will have packing to do! :lmao:

It is much more expensive to eat at a restaurant than what it is to just to grab something at a counter service. If I were you, I'd grab a quick dinner at Cosmic Ray Cafe before or right at the beginning of the party and then just enjoy the party. I'm sure the kids will have plenty of buffets on the boat! :)

We have a reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern on the 26th for MNSSHP. They don't have buffet but they bring skillets of food as many as you want and it is family style *everyone takes food from the same skillets*

With all the speculation about Dry Dock changes, it got me to thinking about a survey I took about a year ago. The survey came via email from DCL, and was all about interactive TV services in the staterooms. It asked us to rate several features, in order of importance/preference, of things that could be viewed on the stateroom TV. The survey mentioned things such as previewing Shutters photos, viewing one’s account, looking at Dining Room Menus, and even booking Spa, Palo, and Excursion reservations. It even made a reference to the remote being used as an on board walkie-talkie. The only negative part of the survey was a series of questions about how much of an extra fee we’d consider paying for some or all of these services.

Anyway, if we see anything like that when we get onboard… you heard it here first! (Along with the Animators Palate Rehab rumor I've been pushing since being told so by a CM last year!)

Hmmm, I don’t think there was anything about confidentiality in the survey… I wish I’d have made screen shots now!!!:scared:

Just wanted to drop in a send a big THANK-YOU out to everyone who wished my good luck on my knee surgery:grouphug:

Everything went fine and now just getting around with the cruthches is my biggest battle:sick:

We have been one busy group...too many pages to read thru:rolleyes1

Will try to keep a eye on everyone's posts....Looking forward to seeing everyone in less than 2 weeks:dance3:

SO glad that everything went well!!!

The luggage is down from the attic.
Nothing will probably be in it until 9/25 or so...but hey....:upsidedow

WOO HOO :cool1: You're that much closer!

You could check for an earlier time since you can usually get into MK on your MNSSHP tickets as early as 4PM.

It's friggin 44 degrees right now.

I was in shorts on the weekend!!!!

Gotta love Chicago weather in Sept.

Expecting snow flurries in October as usual

I hear ya...it's 48 here. BRRRRRR. I left windows open overnight. I was freezing :cold: when I woke up. It will be back up to 82 today.

I don't wanna hear it. ;) Our A/C has been out since last Thursday, and it's been in the 90's all week. With freaking HIGH humidity.

We haven't talked about shopping in awhile.
What's everyone planning on buying? I really want diamond earrings.

I'm thinking it might be time for a new TAG Heuer...

Waxing is a MUST...the thicker on the front the better. There are some people in this area have been known to put vasaline on the front of their cars then wash it of every day to help with them as well.

I almost spit my coffee out this morning reading this :lmao: Seriously men, you have no idea how that word can just send the fear of God into a woman!

I'm a northern girl trapped in a Floridians body; so wish I was there....:sad2:

WE will be at the Port at 9:39 AM. 9:32 if we don't have to stop at the podunk 7-11 in the swamps for coffee.

That's good to know! I thought one person could go in and do it. Thanks for the heads up!

Well, we're right behind you :moped: at that time...down the road in BFE at the DD that seems to host everyone going on a cruise that day....:sail:

Also, not sure about this...can someone clarify for me? I remember two seperate times I was not allowed to check in until my DH was back from parking...:confused3 , was told everyone needed to be present with a Photo ID/Proof of Citizenship.

I had a fun conversation with Shirly from A Perfect Gift this morning.

I spoke to Shirley yesterday morning as well. She is always fun to talk to and such a nice lady. I needed to order four baskets and was on the phone with her for an hour. I hope through all of the chit chat she actually gets the order correct. She is going to call back on Friday or Monday to let me know if she has the things we asked for and what it will cost me.

SNOW??? oh yeah..that's the white stuff I've heard tell falls from the sky. *Sigh* that would be nice now and then.

I tried this and was told that the rotations would not be completed until 5 days before boarding. The CM I talked to you would not give me any other information than that.

Ok..A) I'm not a guy...and B) at 5 in the morning I didn't even think of another type of waxing....now that you mention it though I should go back and edit that post ;)

Looking for confirmation.

Port Canaveral rules now state that liquid beverages must be brought aboard in carry on luggage only.

I understand in the past we were able to check these items at the Port but apparently this is not allowed now.

In August, I had an 8 pack of mini bottles of water in our suitcase.. Noone said anything to me.. and they were still in there when we got our suitcases... :confused3

ETA: Called DCL and she said, it needs to be in the carry on.. She says that customs has been enforcing it harder then they use to.. BUT, she also said, IF you do pack it in the suitcase, the most they would do is take it away.. She did say, get the ones that have plastic wrap around it, so it is more secure as in factory sealed in manufactured wrappings

Thanks to everyone for the congrats! I am hardly famous, but I think it's pretty neat. I've had other things published before, but never in a BOOK. With pages. And a cover. It's been in the works for something like a year so it's nice to see it come to fruition.

Here's the info: it's called Pets Across America by Pam Uher (the editor) and it can be ordered on amazon.com. Pam self-published and got amazon to list it, but she took a few little liberties with the content like......there is no table of contents? Because she didn't want to add one? Also, there are no page numbers :confused3 but should you pick one up and try to find me, my story is approximately halfway through the book and is titled "The Day Rowan Flew Away"

Oh, and for those of you who would prefer a summary of the story instead of buying the book, he came back ;)

Happy humpday!
