I have to say I'm getting worried that there is nothing out there now and the ocean is going to stir up in 1 to 2 weeks that we'll have to dodge. TVEPFOX, do your expert meteorologists have an opinion/prediction? We know that the prediction at the beginning of the month was to see 4 hurricanes, right?

I am right that with you. I am thinking we maybe OK til we get on but it is anyones guess after that. I am still watching. Most concerned about my week at WDW since it cannot be moved like the ship. Once we are on it will just be ports that will be effected and we should still get to cruise. I can't wait and continue to Pray for good weather! Lois

how many plan to rebook while on board?

I asked it back in Part 1 or Part 2. Long enough ago that it doesn't count!
We are rebooking, probably a 3 or 4 nighter in '09, now that we will be on the Oasis in '10.

I didn't know we could book 2010 dates yet I would love to rebook, but not sure if it is in the budget right now. We will have to see how much we end up spending on

To add to this question: What time are each of you planning on getting to the port? We will be there bright and early, hopefully when it opens

2010 dates will be announced 10/7. You can't book them until 10/14 however.

WE will be at the Port at 9:39 AM. 9:32 if we don't have to stop at the podunk 7-11 in the swamps for coffee. Hopefully we'll be heading up the line to get in. But knowin ya'll........ I doubt it.

oK..I'm doing a happy dance ...was just able to sneak in Palo reservations for the last Friday we are onboard at 7pm.

PHEW! Hope everyone is O.K.....those darn concrete bumpers just seem to jump out of nowhere! When I had my '02 Altima the plastic cover that protects the underside of the car would always get pulled off even if I just 'tapped' it.

In other news, I got something exciting in the mail today: a book! A book that I am a featured author in! My first book!!!!!!! I don't get any royalties from it, so I hope it's ok if I talk about it here. Anyhow, it's a book or inspirational pet stories, and a portion of the proceeds goes to animal charity. I'm very excited. If anyone is interested, I'll post more info. Or you can PM me. I swear, I don't get any kickbacks from it, I already got paid a year ago when I submitted the story

Will you be bringing extra copies to autograph for us, so when you're big and famous (the new Stephen King) we can show everyone we knew you back inthe day????

I'm sure you missed the stuff about the group picture....due to the Character Breakfasts we have to change the time. We were going to do a poll on DisDouble Dip to pick....we were thinking choices of 8:00 AM 9:45 AM (IF we can squeeze the sitting in betweeen early and late seatings, this may not be possible), 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Your thoughts???

I think this is correct. We wanted to stay at CR and was told it was not a DCL Resort (i.e., you could not catch the bus there and would have to schlep your bags either to the Poly or to the GF). That is why we switched to the Polynesean. In any event, we will be with you on the bus ariving to the port a little later.

Yes..that is right. We do plan to take the monorail or taxi over to the Poly. We really want to stay at the CR or I would have picked the Poly. I totally want that MK view and I love being able to walk to the MK. And the kids are dying to go back to the CR. So.....we schlep.....

I am glad to hear too that arriving from the bus you just walked in without lines and got to the buffet. I'm not worried too much about eating - I know that we'll be full enough after a day or two!

I thought I read on the main boards that you CAN get everyone checked in even if someone is parking the car. If asked if the 'missing' party is parking the car, just answer yes. They are parking the car, just not necessarily at the port........

Its a really good thing I didn't have anything in my mouth when reading this.......otherwise the laptop (from work no less) would have been covered!

I'm at work this morning without my boss so I"m planning on doing FE things! LOL!!!! Of course I'll answer the phone and help the customers, but other than that it's FE all morning!

IMO the earlier the better....remember that the sun is at its stongest mid day plus the fact that is so much harder to get everyone later in the afternoon....9:45 sounds good to me...But will the poll really matter....We know how that did with the Meet LOL

Im not allowed to have diamonds anymore... E bought me a tennis braclet before.. LOST IT.. the clasp broke, then after I had lost some weight went shopping and my engagement ring fell off and I never found it.... so ya the only bling you will see on me is FAKE lol

It's 7:55 I'm running a little behind this morning! Ike's not doing much, but he is gaining strength. Texas is evacuating some people with special medical needs in the path of Ike.

No worries right now. IMHO it takes 2 weeks for something to form, develop and reach the Caribbean. Right now there's NOTHING out there. NOTHING! Look at how long we've been tracking Ike. Remember, a few hundred posts back, my guys told me it would be unheard of for a fourth storm to form. The waters are too stirred up. Even if something did form we're still in the clear because we're sailing Western. It would take a storm even longer to reach us!
