Well its 952am here in Germany! I fly out of Frankfurt tomm morning - 10 hr flight to DFW.

DH & I are meeting in TX at his parents so his Mom will make me the "real" sweet tea!

We leave from DFW on Fri am!

Does this mean your DH will make it home in time to cruise? I hope so! I'm sending you some pixiedust: that he gets home safe!

Tiffany

Looks promising! But with the Army you never know! :::crosses fingers::::

Wow. I'm so sorry about Elliott. I hoep he's feeling better tonight. Are you still at the hospital?

Ok .... that's enough of the sickies and the pains!!!!!!! Everyone FEEL BETTER!!!! We'll be on a big boat with Mickey in just ONE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!

:grouphug:

we got home yesterday before lunch. He took a nice long nap, was asleep before 8 last night and is still asleep at the moment....hopefully another good nap today and he'll be on the road back to normal. His ear is much better since the ENT sucked out the infection and he's gotten some really good meds via IV at the hospital.

awwwwwww :guilty: That is such a sweet story.. Thank You for sharing..

When DH asked me to marry him, DS had the ring and DH asked.. Will you marry "us" :lovestruc I was like, wait he is mine.. You have to marry "us"

Well its unusual to hear such stories so it's always nice to share. The most hysterical part is that about 2 weeks after my parents got married I asked if I could be 'his' the compromise was that I got to use his last name at school even though I had not been adopted yet. Now my brother married a lady with a little boy who just asked the same question. We've been chuckling for a while now over that one.

We just had a Chik fil A open here a couple days ago. Are they really that good? What should I get? I always hear people back East talk about this place. Is it kinda like how Krispy Cremes are? People love them.. I thought they were okay.

They have this breakfast 'sandwich' that are their little nuggets in a tiny yeast roll....man are they good. Their chicken is very moist which is why I like it so much.

Ugg - Your parents waited longer than my sitter! Our usual dog sitter's DH is having knee surgery on the 23rd and they were worried about having an extra dog in the house. I can understand too, but WOW that threw me in a tailspin! They have watched our doggie for every vacation we've gone on since we've had her. She is 4 and we didn't know what to do. Mindy is a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix and very pampered. Our friends, who will be watching her, dog is a hyper lab mix. The two got along, but Mindy had to let the other dog know who was boss once or twice. There was never an aggressive moment though.

Tiffany

When DH and I got married I had a Jack Russell and he had a lab.....regardless of the fact that the lab was a good 30lbs havier than the JRT, she ruled the roost and the lab was so laid back it never bothered him. They will be fine...when you get back it will be as if they were litter mates.

So, DD's pirate party is over and was a GREAT success! All went well, and DD was thrilled with her cake, gifts, and friends. One more stress down ...... now, time for packing!!! :) We'll start that around Wednesday, I guess. :)

So glad everything went well and that she enjoyed all your hard work!!

Ok...first off SKOI: To bad we don't live in the same town we could have spent the night at the hospital comforting each other. Elliott was admited yesterday (thank goodness just for the night) for dehydration. I'm so mad at his doc right now I could kick him. We told him on thursday that Elliott was not eating and hew as not drinking like he usually does. The doc's response was "well just offer him more fluids and he starts to feel better that will pick up". Ok.....when my child is sick I keep fluids around him because of a fear of just this sort of thing happening. so how can I push more fluids. Thurs night he started throwing up and by Friday he was listliss and would only lay on me and sleep. We had an appointment with the ENT to look at his ear, when she took one look at him she started the orders and called the hospital to put him in. A night of IV fluids and while tired and weak, he's at least eating and drinking.

:grouphug: This group has had a very interesting week! I'm praying that all of these little ones (and Jenn) are feeling better by the time we get to Florida next week. You're all going to need this cruise!!!!!!!

Geez....I'll just preface this by saying I have NOT caught up on this board!!:lmao: In the last 36 hours since we left yesterday morning until now when I actually have a chance to log on and look you guys have filled like 18 pages or something.....If I actually read and responded to that.....I'd miss my whole vacation at WDW....;)

So if anything truly important or critical has been posted that Jason and i shoudl know....then PM me.....but otherwise....I just can't keep up.

We got in on time yesterday morning and had a nice day at Typhoon Lagoon and then at our resort for a while and then to the Studios (and stood in line over an hour to get on the new Toy Story ride) before dinner at DTD. Today we spent the day at MK with a break for lunch with Hadley and her family at Whispering Canyon....then a great dinner at Kona Cafe tonight.

Tmw is Animal Kingdom day with Hadley's bunch and Sandi's family!!

So great to hear from you! Glad to know that you guys and Hadley and Sandi's group all arrived safely and that everyone is enjoying their vacation. I told Amy (TheDisneyGirl02) and Dave to keep an eye out for you guys (they left and arrived safey yesterday).

Now we need to hear from Kimberly to know that her group is safe and sound and that she is relaxing and enjoying herself after all the drama at her place!!!

My husband is flying out of Iraq today to Kuwait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He just called!

:yay: Sending pixiedust: your way that you meet up safely!!

AND BY THE WAY - I believe the MAGIC is scheduled to leave dry dock TODAY!!!!

CORRECTION - SHE'S ALREADY GONE!!!!!

This reminded me of a cute story from this week - my sister has two dogs. One is a black lab, Jasmine, and the other (about 2 years old) is a black lab rotty mix, Belle. (Can you tell she loves Disney???) Belle is about 100 lbs. Well, my neice brought down her new puppy which is a tiny 3 lb Pomeranian (SP?), Maggie, and introduced them. Now they are used to a small dog as my other sister owns a small dog, Zoey (can't remember the breed but she's about 7 lbs). Well Belle went to "sniff" Maggie who wasn't quite sure she liked that so she bounced up and nipped Belle on the nose. Well, that 100 lb dog is now afraid of the 3 lb dog and won't go near her!!!!!

I always think that is so cute. We've since lost those two but they would have been in our wedding if I could have gotten away with it (they did appear in our engagement pictures). Until we had Elliott we would tell everyone we were a 'blended' family because those dogs were our kids.

We have dachsunds (sp?) now and they are GREAT as well. I've seen the older of the two roll over and just let Elliott do what he wants with her (including tugging on her) and never say anything. The younger we have is so shy its funny such different personalities in one brreed.

The good news, there's only one system left. The bad news, it could grow into a tropical depression today. Hurricane hunters are flying into the system, we should have a better idea by dinner. BUT... this system is heading northwest, it could impact the Carolinas next week. If you live in that area keep an eye on it. It should have no impact on our cruise, unless it's really slow to develop, we could see rough seas the first night.

Just did my checkin on SWA. It's staring to become real. One would think the pile of luggage was reality enough. We've spent weeks and months talking to each other, making each other laugh and listening to the different family stories. All of us REALLY need this vacation and deserve it! We fly out tomorrow morning. We'll be at WDW until Saturday. I will keep an eye on the weather updates and will post anything that could disrupt our trip. I have soo much to do today, as I'm sure the rest of you do to. Enjoy your day!

I just want to be sure that I can fly to MCO on Friday!!!!! Once there, everything will fall into place.

Thanks so much for all the weather updates. It's been great getting this information.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your WDW days!!!

Wow one week to go!!! Well my mother's sprained foot is doing better, should be ok by next week:thumbsup2

Question???? Is anybody signed up for the 10:45 Jeep Exploration? My sister & I are sighned up and they put four to a jeep. I'm hoping I'll know the people they team us up with.
Glad her foot is better!

Yay! One less thing to think about before vacation!!

Ohhhhh....the chicken sandwiches are so goooood. And Reese loves their chicken nuggets, which are TOTALLY different shape/texture/flavor than McDonald's. You gotta try them :)

My husband is flying out of Iraq today to Kuwait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He just called!

Great news. Fortunate he's flying from Kuwait. Dh will have to fly through the 'stans when he comes home, most likely.

Elliott's mommy- nothing like a doctor who doesn't listen, is there? I've been telling the urologist the entire time something was wrong, and here we find out the kid is resistant to the antibiotics they gave him, and he's been running a slight fever (spiking into the 103 range Friday) for three weeks now. Glad we're all out of the hospital and let's keep it that way.

Julie

Have fun! We'll see you in, what, six days? :woohoo:

WOW, I was hoping for at least one response:flower3:

Anyone????:hourglass

.

I'll chime in also, I don't know what they serve onboard because I'm not much of a beer drinker. I don't know how much alcohol you are allowed to bring but I do know it has to be in the carry-on. Sorry I can't answer much else! I hope you didn't think we were ignoring you, I think everyone is kind of caught up in the stresses and excitement of packing! Maybe check on the main boards? I'll have a look and see if I can find anything out for you :goodvibes

ETA: there is a thread about carry-ons here, and another about the beer onboard here. Hope that helps!

Six days, everyone! Six days from now I'll be in line to check in, and then looking for Erik and the gang so I can get my lanyard and start the hugs!

Mine is a very unpampered, very adaptable mutt--Border Collie mix. I am lucky that he will be happy with anyone, anywhere; in fact, he loves meeting new people. Even though he is well-trained in most areas, the one thing I can't get under control is his excitability when someone new comes on the scene. I think if he were calmer, I would have plenty more takers as far as watching him because he really is a sweet thing. I still don't have it worked out completely. Bro-in-law will stay at our house w/him during the weekdays, but we don't have a plan for the weekend. My mother had a knee replacement a year ago, so I can see why they'd be worried about having an extra dog in the house, but it sounds like they have to be more concerned about their own dog.

I was hoping someone would answer, too. We are planning to try to bring wine aboard. We'll see . . . :confused3

OK, I should've finished reading through before I replied . . . Went to the link, and it was very informative. Thanks, zweihund!:thumbsup2

I just checked the main board "The Magic" is heading home. Left Norfolk around 6:30 AM this morning.

Glad to see that there are still some of us left....with only 6 days until we sail...something tells me its going to get very quiet soon.

Thanks for everyone willing to get me my drinks on board:banana:

Hope those of you that already have arrived will keep us informed on your trip

:surfweb: Please let her know (in private of course since I know it's supposed to be a surprise for her DD) that I got the book she was wanting...I'ts packed and ready to go in my suitcase!

Maggie
