Folks - I still haven't gone shopping - My head's ready to explode. Please do NOT mock me if I wear the same two outfits all week. LOL.

Of course, the store is busy (which is good - helps to pay the Disney bill) - but, honestly - I need to get out of here and go SHOPPING!!!!!

And, now, my feet hurt so much from working all day, the last thing I want to do is go to another store.

I feel like such a whiner.

I am a whiner. LOL.

I know a lot of you have had crazy things going on - car accidents, hospital visits, crashing computers - I'm thinking of all of you. We are all EXACTLY one week away from PURE JOY!!!!!

Hi everyone! It's funny how quiet things get now!

I agree with the bubble wrap....everyone STAY SAFE!

We're hanging out the rest of the day here. I packed one suitcase (Reese's clothes, blankets, & all the misc stuff like shampoo & alarm clock)...it was 51lbs! So I took out 1lb of the movie candy we're bringing, so that one is right at 50lbs now. It's so hard to limit a suitcase to 50lbs!

I have the 2nd of 3 suitcases filled with FE gifts, more toiletries, pirate hats...still have more room there!

Usually, Jeff & I can fit in 1 suitcase together, so it looks like we're OK on suitcases! I was getting worried....

TRIP UPDATE: After a fun-filled hectic morning filled with grabbing breakfast, exchanging suitcases, cramming said suitcases in car, etc; I dropped TheDisneyGirl02 and DBK1029 (Amy and Dave) at the airport for their flight to WDW. Amy's parents and sister drove her down to my house where they exchanged long goodbyes (mostly between the twin sisters - guessing this is a twin thing). Once that group was on their way, Amy and Dave moved some last minute things from Dave's suitcase to Amy's second suitcase. One final trip to the computer to print out the rental car confirmation and they were ready!!

We talked during the trip down to the airport and as we neared it and we could see the planes flying in and out, you could feel the tension rising in Amy's body By the time I got them to the airport, you could see the fear starting to show on her face. I really felt bad but just kept telling her to breathe and that she would be fine!!!

Well, just received a phone call and they have arrived safely in WDW and can begin their two weeks of fun!!!! Once they retrieve their luggage, they will be picking up their rental and heading to POR to check in. They plan on making a trip to the local stores for some of those liquid items (like shampoo, etc) and then eating offsite at a restaurant that Amy wants to show Dave. They begin their Disney vacation tomorrow with an early breakfast at Chef Mickey and then hopefully the rope drop at MK. They'll be at MK all day and I believe Kona Cafe for dinner.

I will pass along any updates as I hear from them during the week. For me, it's work, work, work, work, packing, and out of here on Friday!!

Hi guys....some bad luck here I was in a nasty car accident tonight. One good thing is I was on the way to work so the kids weren't in the car. It was a hit & run..this is the second hit & run I've been involved in...(and I'm not the one running!)
Funny thing is (or not) that I probably would have got the ticket since I hit them (at over 50 MPH no less)..but they were APPARENTLY just stopped in the road we think with no lights on. Don't know why I didn't see them, as I wasn't distracted, I was just cruisin' Anyway all I know is allof a sudden there was something in front of me and BAM! No time to react.

What store in Port Jeff? We enjoy walking through town there by the water and having a bite and getting ice cream. My daughters go to the eye doctor there--a long trip for glasses, but one of them needed surgery for strabissmus, and Dr. Cossari is supposed to be the best.

Mall--Last Sunday at NY & Co, I got three pairs of Capris for a total of $52--a bargain! I would've gotten more, but that was all I could get in my size. Got lots of bargains for the DDs and DH at Target this morning.

My weight fluctuates so much within a twenty pound range, that I also don't have anything decent to wear, besides the new formal. And I like things to be loose, so off to Old Navy or somewhere to find denim shorts,etc if they have any out.

The boys are mostly packed. Most of the girls' clothes are gathered together. We have some toys. I'm debating whether we should have one suitcase of shoes (horrible, I know). So tomorrow more packing, some shopping, and we're starting to eat the leftovers.

My car ('08 Altima) is probably totaled. The whole engine compartment was just accordioned in.

The craziest thing was when I finally got out of the car (there was so much smoke and airbag dust I thought the car was on fire!) I collaped into the median....and nobody was around. Not a soul. Not the people I hit, no other cars on the road (and this is a BUSY 6-lane highway!)..it was like the twilight zone. The cops asked me if I just hit an invisible brick wall. Heh. Funny. I did not get cited for the accident at least.
I venture to guess the mystery vehicle or thing I hit contained any combination of the following 1. Illegal Immigrant(s), 2. drunk(s), and/or 3. felons with a warrant. Most likely #2. Hopefully nobody was hurt.

SOOOO..that really puts a wrench in our preparations, only having one vehicle now. Our work schedules don't overlap but I had some appointments this week (like my hair) that I'll probably have to cancel now. (Course I can *always* have my hair done onboard ). Plus the $500 deductible really cuts into our spending money, dangit!

I'm just really glad I had changed my mind last minute and decided to NOT bring the FE gifts with me tonight to finish, they would have been ALL OVER the road...rolling around....

Everybody, be safe out there! We only have 7 more days...let's all have no more DRAMA!




We are letting Brendan check himself in & out this time...he is 8 (will be 9 in Oct.) He is a really responsible kid, so I am confident he will be fine and we have very strict rules about where he will go when he does. He knows we will revoke this privelege if we need to. And quickly.


Yes, it's for babies/toddlers. I was actually kindof hoping they'd keep the Mickey Ear, so I could stand in the pool and hold Sarah over the edge into the ear, now we will just be sitting ont he ground in the new area. Here is what it looks like on the Wonder:

That date is on our short list too. That dang Oasis cruise is messing up all of our plans. I guess the whole Baltic thing on DCL in '10 made desicions easier for us though. Maybe in '10 we will take our long awaited Disneyland trip instead of a cruise.....

Tonight I get to sleep like a normal person.... "night all.

So I spent (with Alex, aka Medical Disaster Boy) another night in the ER. Apparently his drain was a little prematurely removed, and he's draining through the hole. He also had a 102.5 F fever this evening, and the uro on call said, "take him to the ER".So off I trotted (in my own car,thankfully, power steering now repaired, but now we have that pesky "check engine" light- time for a new van, I think).

A new prescription for antibiotics later (since they couldn't find anything wrong with him besides the obvious), we're home. Stopped at the 24 hour pharmacy. Pharmacist says he never dispensed the antibiotic in question in his career. I better call around tomorrow.

So one more trip to see his doctor (who I like less and less each time we have contact), and then by hook or by crook, I'm herding those kidlings onto the 6:55 AM Southwest flight on Wednesday. Of course they only gave me a 10 day script for the new medication.

Oh, Julie. I'm so sorry. You have had quite enough to deal with lately. I know you can't wait to be on that ship.

Started PT on THursday....will be able to get 2 more sessions in before the crusie....and stiches are out....
Still feeling alot of discomfort while walking but taking everyday as it comes...I so need this vacation

Thanks for asking....when are you leaving...I'm stuck here until Saturday morning....

Glad the stitches are out, Charlie!!! I hope that PT helps with the walking. In a week, you can just find you a chair and chill.




So, DD's pirate party is over and was a GREAT success! All went well, and DD was thrilled with her cake, gifts, and friends. One more stress down ...... now, time for packing!!! We'll start that around Wednesday, I guess.

We love Dr. Cossari!! My oldest son had some bizarre orbital something or other which was literally causing his eye to pop out of his head. Scary stuff - Cossari was just fantastic! I own A Gift of Faith right on Main Street across from Salsa Salsa and up from Starbucks.
