YAY PHILLIES WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Jen and the other Tampa fans! I do feel badly for them because it is so cold up here! They must have been freezing!

That's OK...the Rays got spanked bad...what can I say? :confused3
You know though we can't be complaining too bad down here. They were in the basement last year, 20-something games out...worst to first, it was a great achievement and such a fun and exciting year! The Phillies are a great team, ya'll have lots to celebrate!:goodvibes

I have to say, though...could the timing of the last out have been any worse? It was right at the stroke of 10, I was out in the parking lot at work listening on the radio..just waiting...waiting...to hear what would happen (of course the writing was pretty much on the wall but you never know) before I had to go in..So finally I had to give up or I would have been late, RAN into the building and straight to the TV and it was already over. :sad2:

No tears here, after all....We still beat the Sox and the Yanks! ;)

And it is pretty stinking cold down here, too. Like 50's.:hyper: :rotfl:

I almost missed it and I was watching TV! It just happened so quickly!

I heard it's cold down there! It's been chilly here the last couple of days. I think it's supposed to be in the 60's tomorrow for Halloween though.

lol supposed to be in 80's here.. the boys are going to be sweating in their costumes lol.

Yes they beat the yanks and the sox which was great. They will have their day and hopefully you won't have to wait 28 years!!!

Yes Tampa should definitely be proud of those boys! They have a bright future!! I'm sure this season was just the beginning of something great for them.

BUT..... Still gotta love those PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh - the wind chill last night was probably in the low 30's high 20's so I'm sure the Rays were freezing!!!

YIPPEE - PARADE TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok..this might be a bit of an odd question for this time of the year but I'm attempting to get a jump start on Christmas......does anyone have a really good idea for a teacher gift? I'm at a total loss this year because I don't see Elliott's teacher every day I have no idea what she would like.

Im unoriginal I get a starbucks card for xmas and a gift cert for a pedicure at the end of the year lol

Time to start dreaming of the next trip. For me the next cruise is just too many days away. I really want to wait to be able to do at least 21 days again but not sure I can do that. I want to go now NOT 3 or 4 years from now. God help me, I am hopeless.

Miss all of you. Lois

I have 11 months to go Sept. 26th. :sad1: The worse part seven months of the eleven is cold & snow. BRRRR

Does anyone have a full-sized picture showing the Mickey hands above the elevators? If so, would you mind sharing for me to use....please?? ;)

ask and you shall receive... but its not that great Kimberly maybe someone else might have a better one?

We have done Barnes and Noble gift cards, one year I made Zucchini bread in the Christmas ceramic mini-loaf pans I got from the craft store for $1. They loved them! I make Christmas cookies every year and use some as gifts for my co-workers. I put them in the Christmas Ziploc containers (the square ones that come 4 in a pack). We also have done the same for the teachers.

My Aunt is a teacher and she tells me that she and the teachers she works with like gift cards or homemade baked goodies the best!

Hope that helps!

Crissi

yeah my mom works in the school system as well....every year she comes home with TONS of lotion so I knew I didn't want to do that. I like your idea of the bread in the christmas tins. I might do that since it would give her a break from having to think about 'breakfast' (I have a great receipe for blueberry tea bread). Maybe I'll do that or make home made scones and put together a basket with that and the cream to go with it.....Thanks guys..now I kind of have a direction to go in.

Happy Halloween everybody!!!!!

And to you as well.....Elliott has decided he really wants to be a ghost so I brought a sheet to dress him up in for a little while tonight at the plantation. I"m guessing about two 'moans' and he'll be done with that.

Happy Halloween to everyone!! :)

I cant believe we have only been home less than a month, it feels like eons.

Anyone still have in their "braids"? Natalie still has a few, Gabby is down to 1.

I was a middle school teacher for a year before I found my current profession.....and one of the things I remember was most challenging was that the tight budgets of schools often required that I buy many supplies for my classes myself using my own money (like stuff for bulletin boards, decorations, classroom activities, etc.). I don't know if this is also the case in your school district.....but, if so, then a gift card to a local teacher's supply store would probably be a welcome gift.

Hi everyone, haven't checked in for awhile. I hope everyone is doing well. We just found out that we are expecting baby #3! This was sooooo not in our plans, but we are still happy. :lovestruc Send pixi dust my way hoping for a GIRL :)
