For those of you who transferred to Sams or Costco.

The standard on board booking is 10% off the commisionable part of the cruise price and $200 on board credit (7 day cruise).

When you are referring to getting a $275 or $300 on board credit is that in addition to the $200 or total???

Yes that is in addition!!! So I got the 10% off, 200 onboard credit and $275 cash back from Costco. Last year I must have paid more for the cruise than this year because I got $300 in addition to the onboard deals. Got to love the extra money!

Can you transfer reservation once it is paid in full?

I think so. But only from DCL to a TA--you cannot transfer from one TA to a different one (unless the origianl TA wants to give up the ressie). This is too bad for us because our old TA has been not good lately (she used to be excellent) and we would so muc h prefer to have this go to Erik and Jason's TA (who booked our land portion and is our new TA), but even though the old TA admits she isn't really "into her business" anymore she will not let the ressie go:worried:

Kimberly:hug: I hope you have power whne you get home!

Okay I was posting at the same time as Brandie. I am SURE you knows more than I do about this so trust her:thumbsup2

Doh!!!

About $100 difference cash back. But I am paid in full so I am not in a good negotiating posistion.

I was given the impression that it was not transferable after it was paid in full - but all you can do is try . No harm in that. Money is money, give it a shot!

So once you do that can you still book your own palo online? And do you have to ask for something special when you call?

If you have your reservation number and birthdate, you can book online the same things as everyone else.

The difference is you cannot call in to DCL and make changes to your reservation (Dining time, room requested, etc).

Hope that helps!

It is not a sepecial deal - it is their all the time deal so you do not have to ask for anything special. You can still do all of the online registration and booking but would need to go through Costco for a room change or to add/delete a member, etc. So I will not need to call them again. I can do everything online that I want to do...

OH unless I want to change my dining. What are the rotations? and what one puts me in Lumieres on Formal night? What about a second choice - which one puts me in Lumieres for semi-formal night? Thanks.

lenzs4, here's the information I've got; hope it helps!

Casual:

Formal:

Semi-formal:

Pirate:

Well, DBF just called me and told me that not one, but BOTH of our flights have changed and they never even notified us! GRRRR!!!! We were schedule for a 12:06pm departure on the 4th of October (it's my birthday, my twins birthday as well as my mom's birthday so we were hoping to get home to have dinner with them) and they changed it to an 11:19 am departure! Do you think we would make it or should we try to change our flight? Going down doesn't really matter much, I have the day off so I don't have to worry about work.

The worst part of all...I don't really like to fly! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Denise, you can get off the boat around 7:30 (i think) and it doesn't take more than about 40-45 mins to get to the airport, so as long as you're not flying internationally like some Canadians I know (love you silversae!) you'll make your flight. :thumbsup2
Still kinda stinks.....an extra hour on the Magic would have been nice!

I'm totally bummed about Tea and Brunch. I was Really hoping to get those this time! Hopefully I can get them when we get on board.

The good news...we're going to see the Lion King tonight!! It's opening night at the Kennedy Center and we've got box seats! I'm Very excited.

Oooooh! We went last year and it was AMAZING. You will LOVE it!

Wow...you have all been chatty today! I haven't had time to read through it all yet. Just wanted to give a heads up to those in PA and NJ. If you have a bad storm forecasted, I'll tell you that it is indeed BAD! It started hitting us around midnight, complete with tornado sirens. Lightening was extremely heavy to the point that meteorologists were seeing with their own eyes some rotation high above. So take it seriously please!

I went to bed around 1:00 am, turning off the lights. At 5:00 I woke up to a semi-warm house. I somehow managed to make myself somewhat presentable to go to work, but boy do I have some interesting looking hair today!! When I left around 9:00, we still didn't have power. :-( I always fear the duration of power outages because there was a time that we were out for 6 days!! We're on such a small power grid and so much of the state was severely hit by a storm that we were literallly the last area to get attention.

Stay safe everyone!

:scared1:
Glad you are safe and well!

That's 20 drinks of the day!!!!! :rolleyes1

Hello all,

My you have been busy! I haven't been around in awhile. Too many pages and not enough time to try to catch up.

I heard from my sister that we are no longer going to Costa Maya. I am bummed. She got a phone call? I am still waiting for mine? Does that mean i am still going? LOL!

Spirit changed our flight already too. I don't pay much attention as long as the day doesn't change. Anyone on flight #123 out of AC on Sept 26th??

I missed the lanyard deadline. Figures...i miss too many deadlines! LOL!

see ya

Kimberly,

So you didn't enjoy the sirens going off all night? I choose to stay in columbus last night and boy was that a stupid choice! Glad all is well.

Just dropping by to say HI!!!!!

Three months from today we're all going to be VERY excited!!!! :yay: :yay:

For those doing the FE...how is your shopping/making coming along? I need to get a move on mine! LOL!!!

Not really sure if this was discussed in detail...but with only 3 more months left until we set sail:banana: Do we have a plan for the sail away party?:woohoo:

This would be a great time for all of us to get to know each other a little better:dance3:

On previous cruises we also had a great time up on deck 10...just a thought?

Any suggestions:rolleyes1

Ok...all this talk of Wicked...

I've never seen it, but is it something appropriate for a 5 year old? One of Reese's favorite movies in the WORLD is Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (the performance with Donnie Osmond). He loves, loves, loves musicals, and it sounds like Wicked is OK for his age?

You guys with all this "Elphaba" talk have me curious now....
It's one of those things where it depends completely on YOUR child, kwim? The Pantages (L.A. theatre) recommends Wicked for ages 8+, and they do not allow children under the age of 5 to attend. My nephew saw it when he was almost seven and LOVED it. My 6yo DS wants to see it sooooooo badly, but it just wouldn't work out for him. 1) He's extremely sensitive to loud noises, so after the Wizard's booming electronic voice we would have to peel him off the ceiling! 2) It's almost three hours long (including a 15-minute intermission) and there is NO WAY that my Dexter could EVER stay quiet that long. He asks questions about EVERYTHING, ALL DAY LONG. It takes us three hours to watch a one-hour episode of Planet Earth because we keep having to pause and answer his questions! LOL He would spontaneously combust from the pressure of not being able to ask questions during the performance. So instead, we listen to the soundtrack all day and he grills me about the storyline. ;)

As for inappropriate content or themes, the musical is *nowhere near* as dark as the book. I wouldn't hesitate to take my DS as far as content is concerned.
