Kimberly,

Thanks for the heads up about one less little one in pfishgirl's party. I have adjusted the lanyard list accordingly. I plan to start actually printing the name tags themselves in early July. The lanyards are being produced right now and ship to me one week from today according to the company I got them from.

As for Palo....let me say this...Jason and I are not foodie people...so super duper fine dining is kind of wasted on us...we're very casual eaters although we do love food that tastes good. I don't eat any form of seafood or steak....and honestly there isn't anything on the menu at Palo that I love...in fact I always have them make up my dish by ordering a delicious pasta dish they ahve and asking them to add a chicken breast.

Now...that said...I would NEVER cruise without at least one meal in Palo. We love it. The atmosphere is lovely...the view out the large windows is spectacular, the service is always amazing, the food tastes good and comes in very generous portions...and desserts are worth the $10 reservation charge all by themself!! Eating at Palo just FEELS special and so it's something I recommend everyone at least try.

(And also as for the brunch vs. dinner issue....we had our first brunch on the TransAtlantic and I was not that excited about it. We don't drink alcohol so the champagne and/or mimosas were lost on us....I don't eat seafood so a lot of the menu was not for me. We probably won't do brunch again.....but if you like seafood I think you should definitely do it!)

Hello all - Just wanted to share this picture with all of you (I may regret it). This is a picture of Me, my sister Maria (who is also joining us on the cruise), my cousin Dawn (also a Disney NUT), cousin Ricky, cousin Robyn, and brother Vincent (who DS3 looks a lot like) on our first trip to Disney World. I thought I remembered the picture being taken on main stret, but this actually looks like in from of Crystal Palace which has always been one of our favorites places to eat. Not sure now where it was.

That picture is priceless! It sure looks like the picture was taken on the steps of Expo Hall on Main Street - after you walk under the train station, it is the first building on your right.

I hope it is worth $15 to you, it went up!:thumbsup2

Ok, so we went in May of this year and DCL was using 2 different sets of teas. One type in the dining room and Palo, and another type at Deck 9. The loose tea is actually the same stuff as in the tea bags in the dining rooms (I looked at the containers at the Palo Brunch), but different from the stuff at the serve yourself place on Deck 9. The lemon verbena offered at Palo was weak, and they didn't have a darjeeling or mint on the menu there. Topsiders/BBB (can't keep them straight which one's where) had both brands of tea available at the end of the buffet.

We need to do a tea sampling together.
:rotfl:

Absolutely! :thumbsup2

I think we're buying per cabin...at least that's how Jason and I signed up.

That's how we did our main FE gifts as well. Though we did also sign up for the Secret Mickey ::yes::

Buckeye Gal,
Palo is a MUST!! It was the highlight of our cruise. I admit I was not impressed with the menu when I first saw it, but it turned out to be great. If you do decide to go to Palo, book early it fills-up fast.

Guess what I was just doing????

Working on my Fish Extender gifts!!!! :)

I can't wait for the cruise!!!!

Well I am primarily thinking of the secret mickey anyway....Jason and I will definitely have our fish extender on outside our door....but I don't know if we'll actually be able to get fish extender gifts for everyone....most of my DIS time and energy has been spent on lanyards and nametags at this point! :rotfl2:

I just wanted to thank you to you and everyone else who is working on the lanyards and nametags! I can't wait to see them! :)

I just tried the 2.5 star hotel on Hotwire for Sept. 26th.

The hotel I got was Days Inn and Suites. It was $69 and $82.96 with tax. Darn, I was hoping to get the one Country Inn. Oh well.

This is what it said.

Near Beach
Fitness Center
Pool(s)
High Seed Internet Access

And the question of the week about what do you collect... I think I am a week late, but here goes.. lol
Tonya- scrapbook stuff
Mike- He likes NY Yankees stuff and just about anything for his Bronco.. :-/
Jaren: He is into Legos and Hotwheels cars.
Braden: Loves ANY kids of cars and trucks. He likes to collect the hotwheels or matchbox ones. What 100 isn't enough? lol

Hi, Drea.

Congrats on the hotel score!

If I could ask, what star rating was Country Inn & Suites listed at? 3 star or 2.5? also, was the area listed as Cocoa Beach - Cape Canaveral? I just did a search & am coming up w/a 3 star for $86 or a 2.5 star for $65. Interestingly, the 2.5 star has more amenities listed........

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
Rhonda G

I think that for whatever reason the Country Inn doesn't come up unless you book for Thurs & Fri night. I couldn't get it to come up - well at least not a 3 star w/the description Drea gave - unless I put in 9/25 & 26. When I did just 9/26, the description didn't look like the one for Country Inn. Strange....

Crissi--That picture from Disney is beyond adorable! LOVE the classic Mickey ears on everyone! :)

Jason & Erik-- Thanks so much for all your hard work on the lanyards...I can't wait to see them!:cool1:

...and Hadley....she isn't doing all of the work of printing and cutting and stuff....but she did an amazing job of coordinating, compiling the list, confirming with people, getting all the members of the lanyard team to contribute, etc. I would definitely not have been able to do the lanyards at all without her (and Kimberly's) help!
