I hope this helps many of you!

  • Select "Quick Links" in the upper right corner of your screen
  • Select "Edit Signature"
  • Copy the following text and paste it in your signature. Be certain to remove the space after

For this smaller one

If you don't see the shamrock after following these instructions, keep in mind that our signature blocks have limited lines/height, so you may have simply ran out of space. Try putting the text on an existing line in your siggy instead of a brand new line. That may help those of you with long siggys. :shamrock:

Pixie dust for Rio in hopes for the best role ever in Peter Pan,

Hadley I hope all you expectations are fulfilled when you tell your grandma that she is coming. I wish I had the money and could make my dad come with us. He refuses to leave his animal in the care of anyone. I am sure you will create memories you will never regret.

Well I am off to the office in hopes that I can get something done and I might find my keys. They got me to the office then just disappeared. I must have dropped them somewhere. Maybe the shamrock I put in my siggy last night will help me today.

Oh the easiest way I have found to add graphics to my siggy is to download the image to my PhotoBucket account and the copy the IMG code and paste it into my siggy. I am sure that is how you got your photo in your siggy. May we all benefit from the magic of the Shamrock.

Buckeye Gal I just noticed our Tickers are the same. We are staying at Pop the week before where are you all staying? How are you getting to the port? Maybe we can touch base for a late evening pool break or something. Lois

I'll be at Pop as well!! Sounds good! We're going to go to the Radisson at the Port on Friday, however.

KImberly--thnaks for the directions. I still can't see to get it right. Do you see that little box next to my name (the one with the red x in it)? That is supposed to be my clover. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I hope this doesn't pull all of my luck away from the auditions (at least not Rio's luck):rotfl: Maybe I am just not Irish enough.

You might want to try to save the clover to your computer then download it to Photo Bucket, then copy the IMG code and paste that to your Siggy. That is how I got that done. Lois

Just checking in....guess where I am? In the SNOW!
We're on a family vacation in Keystone, Co. I am bruised and sore from my very first attempt at skiing. I'll post some pics when we get home!
Happy Sunday!

Wow! Trying to catch up here......I get sick for a few days and there are pages and pages more!

Hello to all the newbies!

Thanks for the luck Kimberly.........it is much needed! We have had problems iwth our plumbing lately.........not that DS2's train pieces down the toilet helped that situation but we have to have our sewer line replaced! And of course where is it? Right under the huge tree in the back yard........trees gotta go too! All I see is $$$$$$$$$$. Just when I had it all figured out...........

The flights out of Phila are going nowhere fast! Hurry up Southwest, post those September and October flights and hope for a SALE!!

We got lots of snow here on Friday.........delayed the trip to Virginia to see DH's family but we managed to leave Friday night instead!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Crissi

OK we figured out how to do our May 2009 cruise booking with my parents. We got our TA to tell us the exact stateroom numbers we needed to book to get two adjoining Cat. 7 cabins on the wonder and check if they were available....and there was a set that were both open....6140 & 6142. So we booked one with cash in my parents' name and one with our points in Jason and I's name----and I think we got pretty good deals actually! Our TA was able to get our room for just over $400 less than we were getting quoted on DCL's website......and for points....for some odd reason it was 13 points cheaper to sail in 2009 than it woudl be for the same dates in 2008 (according to the DVC points charts online). We got them both confirmed and the reservations got linked so we're all set. If we can get a good rebooking onboard in the fall then we'll rebook my parents' cabin to save ourselves a little money and try to get them a shipboard credit that they can use towards excursions, spa, or tips (our gift to them was that we are using our points for a stay at WDW and we're paying for the ROOM on the boat.....but they agreed to pay for their own park tickets, their own airfare, and all the extra charges on the ship).

Thanks for the tips folks sent us!

I had the same "red X" problem. I followed Kimberly's advice about removing the extra spaces and after a few tries it finally worked.

Happy Sunday!

I went skiing once in my life and only once...due to the bruises and soreness. Hope you feel better.

How lucky for your parents to have such a generous son!!!

pixiedust: for Rio! Keep us posted, Hadley!

If there's anyone else needing a little good luck, please grab a shamrock for your siggy!! :shamrock:

Speaking of siggies....Check out my ticker!! :donald: I cannot believe that I started with a 16 month ticker and it's actually down to 6 now!!! :woohoo: UNbelievable! Everyone will be at this mark in the coming week!!!

BTW, has anyone noticed that the smilies on the create/reply page have been shakened up? I thought I was loosing my mind at this late hour because I couldn't see the "Woo Hoo" smiley.

For all the Big Brother watchers out there without BB Afterdark, I would think that Sunday's episode on CBS will fill you in on the two houseguests who ended up at the hospital on Friday for completely unrelated reasons and at the very same time. Crazy timing!

Okay...off to bed and up in a few hours to drive to Grandmother's house!!! I am SO excited about telling her she's going on a cruise!! :cool1: I've been putting together a lot of literature to give her including my old Passporter and DCL planning DVD (although her own DVD should be in the mail soon).

I'm looking forward to the new Passporter's DCL Field Guide that should be mailed in a few weeks (assuming you ordered directly from Passporter.com)!! :cool1:

Have a good one!

Kimberly - good luck with Grandma....be sure to post all the details when you return!!

Kimberly, thanks for the luck.

I have a question, After all the tips off DIS boards, we are going to cancel the Disney air and fly down the day before on our own booked air. We are renting a car one way and staying in Cocoa Beach area. Can we still use Disney transfers on the way back to MCO even with our own booked air?

Ken

For anyone staying at the MCO Hyatt the night before the cruise, you may want to check out this thread.

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1731778

It details how you can prepurchase a certificate for a one-night's stay for $135.00 plus $6.00 shipping (total of $141.00) which is good for one night at the MCO Hyatt, taxes included.

Read through the thread if you are interested because it does recommend making a reservation first and double check on blackout dates.

Just thought this was interesting.

We have always booked our own airfare and have used DCL transfers. Last year we used FLTours from our WDW resort to the port and then DCL transfers from the port to the airport.

Thanks, after I get my flights worked out (waiting on Southwest) I will talk to my TA and cancel the Disney air and set up the DCL transfer back.

How lucky for your parents to have such a generous son!!!

Thanks! Actually I can't take all the credit, though....what my parents are REALLY lucky to have is a LOVING son and a generous and well-paid "son-in-law" (in quotes until NY lets us legally take the quotes off! :rotfl2: ) because it's Jason's job really that makes us able to afford all our disney trips and our ability to be so generous with our family members. If we had to live on just my not-for-profit salary my parents would be getting a $50 giftcard to Red Lobster for their 40th Wedding anniversary!! (That's the point of this trip....2009 will be their 40th and they met and were married in Orlando so that's why we're taking them there! They met at Coco Beach, their first date was at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando and my father proposed at Daytona Beach and they were married in Orlando at a friend's home!)

:thumbsup2

OK...what's the deal with using a travel agent?

We've always booked our own stuff, but now I'm starting to think I'm missing out on deals, service, etc. by not using a TA.

For those of you who use them, why do you go that route? If you've chosen not to use a TA, would you mind sharing as well?

Thanks for the tips! :)

Kimberly thanks for the shamrock!! Can't wait to hear how things went with your grandma I bet she is super excited. I would love to bring my grandma as well, but she told me she does not do boats:boat:

Kimberly I'm considering POP before the cruise as well most likely flying in late the night of the 21st and departing early on Sat 9/27 (keeping my fingers crossed for MNSSHP on 9/26).

I hope this doesn't pull all of my luck away from the auditions (at least not Rio's luck):rotfl: Maybe I am just not Irish enough.

Hadley hope the auditions went well for all of youpixiedust:

I'm not typically a TA person myself(this is my first time using one), but when I started researching cruises it seemed like the way to go mostly because of OBC. I booked through DU and got a very nice OBC...had I done the booking myself I would not have had anything. I'm still able to see my reservation on the DCL website and my DU TA (Kelsie) has been fabulous to work with and very prompt with her replies.
