Hi guys! Long time listener, first time poster, so bear with me, as I'm not QUITE sure how this all works yet!
I'm planning a trip down to Daytona and Orlando (splitting time between Universal & Disney) next July. He's a huge NASCAR fan so he's going down for a race with a bunch of friends, & I'm taking advantage of the close proximity to entice him into going to Disney for a couple of days as well. I've been going several times a year for goodness knows how long, so I've got a decent idea of the mechanics of the park and am really looking forward to showing him the magic of Disney!
Thinking about staying in Orlando the whole time & just driving down for the race, possibly splitting our hotel time between a Universal hotel to get their fastpass option and then moving over to stay on Disney property to get all the fun things that come with that! Our big problem is money.
We've also been considering booking a Dreams Villa (thanks, Kevin & John!) for the entirety of our trip, paying the extra bit for Universal fastpasses, and booking a cheap room on Disney property for the night we do Epcot (one of the things I'm using to get my boyfriend to Disney is the promise of drinking around the world...don't want to be driving back to the villa after a day of that!).
So, any advice you guys can give me would be great! Thanks so so much!
