Double CHeck your confirmation numbers!

I recently reserved a room for ten nights at Coronado Springs. Well I got the confirmation in the mail yesterday and it said we still owed a deposit. I had already paid the deposit via a credit card over the phone. Anyhow I called tonight and there were TWO reservations made under my name for the same dates, hotel and people. Apparently the confirmation slip we were mailed had 4 different digits from the first one I was given over the phone. Somehow they had duplicated my reservation and generated two confirmation numbers. The CM cancelled the unpaid reservation and our original one was still there thankfully. It's lucky I didn't brush it off and double checked with Disney. Anyway just thought I'd put out this word of warning to go over your reservations to make sure they are correct.

Guess what? I can beat that! (althought I wish I couldn't)...

I called to modify our ressie last week,
and I received the confirmation for the
correct modification, showing deposit paid.
BUT, the next day I received three
different ressie confirmations, in my name,
for the same dates, all showing a balance due!!
I had a near-stroke, basically because I just didn't
want the correct ressie messed up.

I called CRO, and a great CM tried to help
but in the end a supervisor had to take over.
They could not figure out why their system
even allowed the duplicates for the same dates,
as it's set up to kick out what it "sees" as duplicates.
Thankfully, all seems to be well but you can bet
I'm nervous & I will be checking regularly to make
sure my correct ressie stays intact!

Oh man. What a pain. I hope all these duplicated reservations are sorted out. I'm a bit nervous now. My CM had to call guest services to find out what the problem was. If I don't get the proper confirmation I think I'll be calling again.
