Double booked currently. Is it worth holding onto?

We currently have two Disney Cruises booked. One in September, and one January. We are pretty sure that September isn't likely to happen for us, either from outright cancellation or being a lesser cruise to January.

If we hold on and wait for cancellation, would Disney allow us to transfer the 125% future cruise credit to our already booked January cruise? If not, is there any reason to hold onto the September cruise if we are sure we aren't going?

Currently, DCL is offering 100% full refund or 125% future cruise credit if THEY cancel the cruise. It's been reported that DCL is allowing people to apply the FCC to an already booked cruise.

To be clear, you will have the option of 100% full refund of all monies paid if you take the refund. If you are not paid in full at the time of the cancelation, that's your only option. If you are paid in full at the time of the cancelation, you have the option of either the 100% refund of 125% FCC.

Also, be aware, that this policy may change at any time.

Yes, DCL allowed me to use part of my FCC for an already booked cruise. I moved our May sailing to September. Booked a new cruise, but still had $1300 of FCC since the new sailing was less money. Applied the leftover FCC to an already booked January sailing. They also allowed me to use my FCC on the cabin where I am listed with my son. Almost paid the whole cruise fare as it is a Dream sailing.

Yes, they let us do that. I think they're grateful for any chance to hold onto customers' money, at this point.

As another poster noted, you only get the 125% FCC if DISNEY cancels. If you’re SURE you won’t want to go on that one, I’m not sure I’d roll the dice. Personally, I think cruises will be starting up right around then, but with restrictions.

I can tell you that our FCC from our canceled April cruise was transferred to our existing December cruise successfully last night.
