Doubetree Guest Suites Opinions?

I booked the DTGS at the AAA rate @ $134 plus resort fee and parking for 3 nights for our trip in June. I booked the 2 room double queen room. I feel like that's a good deal for that hotel, although resort fees drive me nuts!
In our past trips we've stayed at the DLH and the Candy Cane Inn. My husband's company is covering one nights stay so I can't really book the DLH and it's not in our personal budget either. I love the CCI but since this is mainly a work trip for my husband I'm thinking the happy family atmosphere (screaming kids) might not jive with any work he needs to do in the room. Plus 2 rooms might be nice with a teenager. So...DTGS seems like a good deal for what we need this trip.
My concern is that the shuttle is going to be a pain. I've heard good and bad things about the ART shuttle, I'd love some other opinions.
My other option I looked at was the Anabella. I can get a Mission suite for $99 a night, but I've read some negative stuff about that property. Seems to be mostly up keep issues and noise complaints. Any thoughts on the Anabella?
So with that info do your DTGS is a good choice?

I was very happy with the ART when I stayed at Hojo's. It picked us up on time right in front and only had 2 other stops which were quick. We were the last pick-up so we went right to Disneyland, and 2 stops on the way home, but as I said, they were quick. I was very happy with it.

I stayed at the Doubletree 2 years ago with my son and family. There were 5 of us and we had 2 rooms - 1 room w/two queens + a sitting area with pull out bed. We enjoyed our stay there. It is a nice hotel. The queen beds were very comfortable. We did move the furniture in the sitting room a bit so the bed could be left out as there were a couple other chairs to use plus a large desk. There was a mini-fridge for snacks & drinks. They did not offer a free breakfast but kids did eat for free with an adult. Both breakfast and dinner were very good but not 'economy' meals. We ate several mornings across the street at Denny's.

We used the ART without any major problems. We never knew exactly what time it was due (not like a train schedule) but we never waited longer than 20 minutes - usually 10 to 15. The bus did get crowded at park closing and we waited for a second bus once. It came in about 5 to 10 minutes. I believe there were 2 stops after pick-up at the Doubletree and then directly to Disneyland.

The Doubletree is not walking distance to the park with kids. I walk daily at home, so I walked by myself one day. It took about 20 minutes at a comfortable pace.

Thank you for the help. It seems the the DT is the better property than the Anabella. I'm hoping it's worth the extra money.

My family and I stayed here in December and enjoyed our stay. We would've booked this hotel again for our upcoming trip, but they don't have serve breakfast and that's a "must" for us when staying multiple days. I have no complaints for this hotel.

They give warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in!
