My DD and DSIL are planning a trip to WDW for next sept just before my DGD turns 3 which is at the end of the month

Ive always heard your basically on the honor system as far as kids ages go

but with so many changes does my DD need to bring some proof that my DGD is still under 3

thanks for any advice

I don't know if it's required, but if you're concerned, I would bring a copy of her birth certificate. Especially if you think she might appear older--if she's tall or very articulate, something like that.

Also, keep in mind, when making ADRs, you need to include her in the head count, even though she's under 3. This is true, even if you have an infant. You won't get charged at a buffet or anything, it's for seating purposes.

We have never been asked for proof but we always travel with a copy if a birth certificate in case something happens.

We took a reduced size (credit card size) copy of Birth certificate a couple times when kids were near those age changes. Never needed it BUT have had kids asked quite a few time their ages instead of us, mostly at character meals. One would always give the correct age and the other was so far off that it was never an issue. Most 15 year olds are not 35 inches tall :)
.

A birth certificate isn't really proof anyway since there is no photo. They also don't ask for proof of a kid's age when 9 or under for pricing purposes. They won't bother you.

Agreed that they won't require proof, but they might ask the child her age. I brought a copy of the birth certificate when my DDs each were 2, but they were both tall and my older DD was particularly verbal at 2 (and still is! :teeth: )

I would advise your DD to check the bills at meals - we have accidentally been charged when our DDs were 2, and we have been charged the adult price when my older DD was nine (almost ten).
