Hi everyone,
please excuse me for crashing your thread.
I have some information which may interest you before your cruise.

I would greatly appreciate it is when you return if you would post if you had a live house band playing at your sail away party and in wave bands club.

The reason i ask is, i got confirmation from DCL today about a rumor I had heard. and it was true. Starting very soon ( they didnt give an exact date) there will be NO house band on the Wonder. That means No live music at your sail away party, No live music in Wave bands, only DJ's and recorded music. there will still be a duo in the Promenade lounge and a piano player.

Personally I think this is a TERRIBLE thing to do to their guests. I feel for what we pay for our cruises we at least deserve live music!! If I wanted to sit around at night and hear a CD I may as well of saved my money and stayed home.
If you agree please write to DCL and tell them how you feel about this. If enough people write they will change. Maybe not in time for your cruise, I dont know.
If you dont have a live band be sure and write about it on your comment card or write about it on the stationary in your room and drop it off in the comment box as you leave the ship.

You guys must have signed up for your cruise a long time ago. It is killing me not to know my rooms. I bet since we have not gotten them yet we will not be getting the prime locations on Deck 8..I guess you can just look for us right where the elevator gets off.

We booked early in 2006 but used DVC points. When you use points, you get confirmed resservations instaed of putting down a deposit and waiting to get a confirmed room when final payment is made.

It is really no problem...I do thousands of pieces a day, so a few more wold be no problem. But I am going to get you guys to come up with a fun design. We can do about anything...Disney, Wonder, the boat itself...lots of ideas.

Josh - should we figure on T-shirts or another type of shirt?

T-shirts would probably be best, but they will be embroidered and not screened, so I hope that works.

Thats OK, I just didn't want to take over this thread with our T-shirt design talk. Let's see how it goes and maybe others will join in.

A couple ideas for the expert (you) -

design idea #1 - individual names would be great but if that requires too much time/set up, we'll do something else. The DCL and/or Wonder logo somewhere (front?). A nice size embroidered "photo" of the ship (on the back). Name of the cruise ("Thanksgiving, November 22 - 26" or "Thanksgiving Cruise 2006") under the embroidered photo.

desing idea #2 - shirts that have a Pirates theme.... Allot of folks are playing up on a "Pirates of the Caribbean" thing. Skull and crossbones like the poster of the movie. I have been working on a magnetic door sign for our cabin that is based on that theme. I could email it to you if you give me your address.

let me know what you think and if there's any other ideas out there, post them.

The pirate things is a great idea so that we don't have to bring costumes!! But with the pirate idea mabe make the front of the shirt look like the front of a pirate costume or something...I don't know

maybe a saying like "Walk the DISplank" you know like DIS board only plank, board = wood, wood = plank, plank = board...hahah just a thought

That would work fine. Can you scan a photo and have the computer do the embroidery work automatically? how big could that be done?

Sorry, I have not been around, since I started this thread I really should pay more attention!! I love the shirt idea, count me in for that too!! Whatever you guys come up with would be fine for me.
Quick background about myself and my family- I will be traveling with dh and dd-age 7 and ds-age 8. We too are from Northern NJ (I believe right near Patricia). We will be arriving the day before the cruise and staying at the Radisson. We are all really psyched for the trip especially since we just spent Labor Day weekend at WDW. We are in total Disney mode!!! Cant wait to meet you guys!!!
