After we got back from our wonderful day at the Space Center, I talked to my Mom on the phone. She wanted to know what we were planning on doing the next day, since it was our last day in the parks. I told her that we had planned to go to the Magic Kingdom again to do some of the things we had missed before. She told me she wasn't sure what she was doing and she thought Heather might be going to the Magic Kingdom but she didn't know if she was or not.

I was hoping that we would see Heather and the kids, because Lydia was wearing her Tink outfit and Sawyer and Tessa were suppose to be in their Peter Pan themed outfits, and I was hoping to get a picture of them all together.

So, we woke up the next morning, Brian packed us a lunch and we headed for the Magic Kingdom! Lydia looked really cute in her Tink!
DSCF3428.JPG

My Mom bought this costume for Courtney on one of our first family trips, so I was excited that Barbara had given it to Lydia and she got to wear it now!

DSCF3433.JPG

Arminda wore the outfit that Heather had made for Courtney.

I put on the shirt that I had been working on the day before and became Belle! I put on my tiara, and my transformation to princess was complete!!!
DSCF3462.JPG

Corey was dressed as a Disney tourist!
DSCF3429.JPG

Since this was our last day, we decided that we would take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom. I always forget how much I enjoy the boat. It is so nice and relaxing. Arminda stood up front and took lots of pictures of the castle.
DSCF3433.JPG

Once we got on Main Street, I decided that we should get Lydia's hair cut at the barber shop. She has never really had a hair cut, so I thought Disney would be a great place to do it!

While I was waiting in line, I noticed a stroller with a Lime Green Mickey Head on it!!!! I was so excited!!! So, I approached the man standing next to the stroller and said, "Are you a Diser?"

He gave me an odd look and said, "No."

Really, what are the odds that a family would just have a lime green Mickey Head on their stroller for no reason??? I thought that was pretty odd.

Meanwhile, Corey and the kids had spotted the Mickey Head too, and were talking about whether or not the person might be a Diser. (They were sitting on the bench outside of the barber shop while I stood in line.) Corey came over and pointed it out to me. I told him that I had already asked the man, and he said they weren't Disers.

About this time, the man that had previously denied his Diser status came up to the lady in line ahead of me and said, "Those people over there" pointing to the rest of my family "keep pointing at the Lime Green Mickey Head on our stroller, I think they might be Disers."

HUH???

To which I butted in and said, "You ARE a Diser?? So are we!" The man had walked away at this point, so I told his wife that I had asked her husband if they were Disers and he denied it! I found out that her username was WoodysRoundUp. So here is a big shout out to you WoodysRoundUp!!! Even if you hubby DID try to throw me off the track!!!

The line was rather long, but several people ahead of us were just getting their hair glittered and sparkled, so it went quickly. Brian had decided that he and the other kids were going to ride the trolley, so it was just me and Lyddy.
DSCF3434.JPG

When it was our turn, Lydia looked a little nervous. I told the barber that I wanted about an inch cut off the bottom of Lydia's hair and the rest layered so that it would bring out the natural curl. She fluffed it up a bit and said that a layer would look good on her. While she was cutting, I mentioned that Lydia had never had a real haircut before.
DSCF3435.JPG

DSCF3436.JPG

DSCF3438.JPG

The cut was done very quickly, and the barber was about to take off the cape when I reminded her that I wanted it layered. So, she layered the ends of Lydia's hair. This wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I said layered, but I didn't feel like telling the barber that I wanted her to redo it. She was very nice, but she hadn't listened to what I had told her I wanted. The barber asked Lydia if she wanted her hair up or left down. Lydia surprised me by saying she wanted it down. She had told me that she wanted it up with a Mickey head on the back . So our barber sprinkled her with some confetti and presented her with some First Haircut Mickey Ears, a little First Haircut certificate and some of her hair wrapped up. I thought those were some very nice touches!

As we walked out of the barber shop, we spotted the trolley coming down the street, so we went over to meet it at the stop. When Brian and the kids got off, they were very excited, because they had seen us walking out of the barber shop as they rounded the corner. Corey even took a video.

I have never been on the trolley, so Brian asked if I wanted to ride now. So, we all got back on board! It was fun, but not the most thrilling ride! I thought it was very sweet that Brian had offered to do it again right away so I could go on it!
DSCF3439.JPG

DSCF3440.JPG

DSCF3443.JPG

After we exited the trolley, we headed towards Toon Town, because we had missed it so far this year. As we were walking over, Lydia saw the face-painting station and asked if she could get her face painted. I told her that it was pretty expensive so I didn't think we'd be doing that this trip.

There was no line for Goofy's Barnstormer, so we decided to go on this next. Here is Lydia having fun riding with her Daddy!

Corey also took a picture of the side of the sewing machine, he thought the Disboutiquers would appreciate it!

It's always fun to play and take pictures in here. I'm always amazed at how many people don't actually DO anything in here, they just walk through! I'm not sure what the fun of that is!

We decided that we would go see how long the lines for the characters were in the tent. They were long, so we decided to skip them. Instead we did a little shopping around. We were having a lot of fun just being silly and looking.
S6300762.JPG

Brian's brother had asked us to look for him a Goofy antenna topper. The only one we could find was in a bag with a bunch of other toppers. It didn't have a price on it though, so we took it to a cashier and asked him how much it was. He didn't seem happy about having to scan the package, but he did, and I think it was about $20. So, I asked Brian if he wanted to buy them. As Brian was answering me, the cashier said, "Do you want them or NOT?!" I was a little shocked at his tone, there was no one else in line so we weren't holding up anyone else. Brian just looked at the cashier and said, "No." in a tone of voice he has that is not a yell at all, but can chill you to the bones when he uses it!

Arminda and I then found a little antenna topper that we wanted to buy, a princess crown! So, I went to a different cashier and payed for it. When I turned around to find Brian and Lydia, I saw a CM kneeling down next to Lydia. My first thought was that something had happened to her! So, I rushed over and asked Brian what was going on.

Brian's face was all aglow, and he excited sad in a hushed voice, "Lydia is being granted a DREAM!"

I was a little confused yet, so the CM, Heather, said to me, "Is it ok if she has her face-painted?" I was so excited!!!
I excitedly answered, "Yes! She just asked me if she could get her face-painted!"
On the way over to the face-painting station, Brian excitedly told me how he had just been standing there with Lydia when he was approached by the CM. He told me that he had been so excited he didn't know what to say!

Everyone was excited and happy that Lydia was getting a Dream!!!

Everyone that is

except

Arminda

S6300748.JPG

(ok, so this isn't a picture of her pouting, but she almost looks like she is!)

Arminda was being a grumpy gus! She pouted and had her arms folded over her chest the entire time! I restrained myself and did NOT smack her upside the head! So, we all just ignored her and soaked in all the magic and pixie dust that was being thrown at us!!!

First the CM had Lydia pick out a face that she wanted. As soon as Lydia saw the Tink makeup, she knew that was the one she wanted! So, they put Lydia in the chair, and with amazing lightning speed, transformed her into Tink!
DSCF3466.JPG

DSCF3467.JPG

DSCF3469.JPG

DSCF3470.JPG

I think I giggled most of the time!
I was just shocked at how quickly the CM did this! She then turned to me and said, "Can she have a little bit of glitter on her lips?" I said yes! I was just so happy and giddy!!! Brian and Corey were too!!

This is what Arminda was doing:
DSCF3468.JPG

More pouting, and she wouldn't look at the camera!
I don't know why she acts like that sometimes! My kids know that one of them can get a present without the others all having too. She was just in a bit of a grumpish mood though.

So, we kept ignoring her as best we could!

After Lydia was completely made up, glitter lips and all. The CM that had done her makeup asked Lydia if she minded getting a little extra attention? Lydia said she didn't mind.

The CM then announced to everyone around that this was "Princess Lydia, Disney's newest princess!" and everyone clapped and cheered.
DSCF3471.JPG

DSCF3472.JPG

Everyone that is,

Except

Arminda

Who, continued her pouting.

She is VERY good at pouting! She can do it for hours on end. Trust me, I know!!! I've timed her! When she was a baby, she was the best little pouter I had ever seen! She could get her little baby lip to go right up to her nose!!! This is as a newborn too! I could never get a picture of it though!

Heather, the dream granting CM then took us back over to the tent and brought Arminda out a Dream Certificate, since she was feeling bad for Arminda. I told her she really didn't need to do that. Arminda continued pouting as we did a little more browsing in the store.

One of the CMs working in the store noticed Arminda's pouting and asked what was wrong. Arminda wouldn't answer him, so he said he wanted to put a smile on the Princesses face. So, he pulled out two Tink pins and gave them to her!

Of course, what would a mean Mommy do?? Well, of course! Tell the CM politely that while we appreciated the gesture, Arminda truly didn't deserve to be rewarded for such horrible behavior and hand the pins back to him. That's what a mean Mommy would do.

BUT, I am NOT a mean Mommy, so I kept my mouth shut! Seriously, this could be the thing that turned our day around! As I've said, Arminda can pout a LONG LONG time! Well, it worked! Arminda immediately brightened up, and thanked the CM! I then looked at the pins and told Arminda that she was suppose to find someone to give one of the pins to, preferably just a random stranger and she got to keep the other one. Arminda was pretty excited about this so she started thinking about who she could give the other pin too. She though at first that she should give it to a little girl with a Birthday pin on. I told her that I thought that the Birthday kids got enough free stuff, and why didn't she just look around and try to find someone who maybe didn't look like they were having a great day, and she could cheer them up with the pin.

Arminda took this assignment quite seriously, and started looking everywhere for someone to give the pin too.

We decided that we wanted to go into Mickey's house next.
Brian lifted Lydia up so she could see herself in the mirror. She was pleased!
S6300763.JPG

S6300764.JPG

Brian was SHOCKED to see what had happened to Mickey's kitchen!
S6300765.JPG

He was going to take Mickey's bike for a spin around the park, but a CM kindly suggested that he leave it where it was.

Good times, good times!

As we were leaving Toon Town, Arminda spotted a girl about her own age standing next to her little sister at the face-painting station. The girl wasn't smiling much, so Arminda approached her and said, "Do you like Tink?" Then, Arminda asked, "do you like pins?" when the girl said yes, Arminda handed the pin to her. Arminda came skipping back to me and excitedly recounted the entire experience to me, complete with Arminda hand gestures! "See, she wasn't smiling, so I thought she might be sad like I was that her little sister was getting her face painted, so I asked if if she liked Tink, then I asked her if she liked pins, and she did, so I handed her the pin, and you should have SEEN her smile, did you see her smile? she got so happy! I am so glad that that guy handed me these pins, because it made ME happy, and it made that girl happy, now she is having a good day when she didn't look like she was having a good day before and I'm happy because I made HER happy, so we are both happy!" (Arminda can fit a LOT of words into one breath!)

So, now we were all happy! And getting hungry! Arminda wanted to know if we were going to see Heather and Sawyer. I knew that if Heather was coming to this park today, that she was probably going to go to Belle's Storytime. She had planned on bringing Tessa's Belle dress for her to wear there. So, I looked at the schedule and saw that the next storytime was due to start in about 45 minutes. So, we meandered our way over that way,and then sat down at one of the picnic tables outside that restaurant there (sorry I don't remember the name!) and broke out our lunch. It wasn't busy, so we weren't taking a table from a paying restaurant customer, dont' worry!

We had a really nice lunch. Brian had packed us some sandwiches and some Chex Mix, which I didn't know we had. So, we ate and chatted and continued our relaxing day. When we were done, I told everyone that we were going over to Belle's Storytime. Everyone wanted to know where it was, so I pointed and said, right behind those trees. They were all amazed that we were so close! I told Arminda that I thought Heather would probably be there.

So, we walked in, and I saw a CM talking to a pretty lady with a little girl dressed as an adorable Provincial Belle! It was Heather of course! I was thinking that it was a very good sign that a CM had come out to talk to Heather before the show! Heather and I had both hoped that Tessa would be picked to be Chip in the show! So, we went over to say hi to Heather. There was enough room for the girls to sit by Heather so they stayed there while Brian, Corey and I went to stand in the back. As the show was starting,

I was excited to see the CM come down and go over to Heather and invite Tessa to be in the show!!!! YEAH!!

I think Arminda might have reminded her how she gave Corey a kiss a few years before!
DSCF3520.JPG

I think Heather was either heading towards Toon Town or going home, I don't remember which, but we were going in different directions, so we said our good-byes and see you tomorrow's! I was disappointed that I didn't get a picture of the kids in all their Peter Pan outfits.

For some reason, at this point Brian and I split up. No, not split up split up, we just in different directions, you nut!
Corey went with Brian and I went somewhere with the girls. I think the girls had to use the bathroom.
Corey told me that they were going to the hat shop on Main st. It seems like I thought they were going to meet us somewhere too. Because, I recall waiting for them and then going to try to find the hat shop.

While walking down Main street, I stopped for some Photopass pictures with the girls and Tink:
image732.jpg

I asked someone where the hat shop was, and they pointed to Exposition Hall. I went in there, and didn't see the, so I walked towards the back of the hall.

There was no one getting their pictures taken at the photo area, so I asked the lady working if we could get some pictures of Lydia in her makeup. She gladly said that she would. She was really friendly. As she was snapping away, I mentioned that we had been there the week before after the girl's BBB appointments, and the photographer was slightly LESS friendly.

She became rather upset and told me, "If you don't like kids, you SHOULDN'T be doing this! I try to treat every child the way I would like my own to be treated." I just about started to cry and had told restrain myself to keep from giving her a big hug! Now THAT WAS the Disney spirit that we had been so sorely missing for most of the week! She took many pictures, and I then noticed that another family had come from BBB. The photographer asked if I would like any more photos, but I told her that that was enough, since there was another family waiting. She was just so nice and so sweet! It made for a wonderful last day experience!
Here are some of the pictures from that shoot. Lydia was still a little nervous, but much less so than the previous experience!!
image744.jpg

image747.jpg

image754.jpg

As we walked out of the hall, I looked to my right and saw a sign that said "Le Chapeaux"!

AHA!!! (one of my favorite 80's bands, by the way! "Take on me, taaaake meeee On, take on me..." They don't write lyrics like THAT anymore!!!)

THAT'S where the hat shop was!!! So, the girls and I went inside. OOOH, you could put together your own Mouse Ears in here!!! So, I told the girls that they could go ahead and put together a hat apiece. They had a lot of fun picking out the beanie, ears and patches! They turned out pretty cute too! I went to pay for them, and Arminda noticed that we were right next to the candy shoppe. So, she asked if she could go over there and maybe someone would notice her birthday pin! I told her to go ahead. As I was paying, she came back with a cool looking marshmallow thing on a stick. She was pretty pleased with herself!

The hats took quite awhile to finish, we were having the girls names put on them. They seemed to be having some trouble with Arminda's. While we were waiting, the Family Fun Day parade started. Which, was pretty funny, because the ladies inside the hat shop knew the whole thing word for word, and were reciting it as the announcer said it! It was really a lot of fun! They continued joking with the customers and each other. It was a fun wait for the hats! After her hat was done and we were leaving, she started whispering something to me.

I bent down to try to hear her better, and I could make out, "Cute pin." Lydia has been talking since she was 6 weeks old, but when she gets nervous she is EXTREMELY hard to understand!! So, I had to ask Arminda what she was saying. Arminda told Me that while we were waiting Lydia spotted a pin on one of the lady's lanyards that she wanted to trade for. So, we had to go find the lady. Apparently, the lady was on a break or something, because we just couldn't find her! So, we went into the candy shop to look around for a minute, hoping to see Brian and Corey too. We didn't see them, so we went back to the hat shop and Lydia spotted the CM with the pin she wanted. Lydia asked her if she wanted to trade, and I translated for her. Lydia was very happy to get the pin and had a big smile on her face!

As we were leaving the shop, we spotted Jiminy Cricket. I had forgiven him for scaring Sawyer, so we went over to get his autograph and some more pictures.

When we were done, Brian and Corey came over and found us. After admiring the girls hats for awhile, we talked about where we wanted to go next. It had been a long time since I had been on Tom Sawyer's Island, so we decided to head over there for awhile. While we were walking there, we spotted a little show going on at the castle, so we decided to stop and watch it for awhile.

Peter Pan was onstage, which made the girls very happy, since they have crushes on him. So, they started dancing and twirling. It was pretty cute, and we were all having a really good time.

We walked over to get on a raft for Tom Sawyer's Island and got on one of the first ones heading over. We were standing by a little boy who was very friendly, he chatted with us all the way over. He was really cute!

We got off the boat, and the kids decided they were going to keep an eye out for the paintbrushes, even though we didn't think there would be much chance of finding them at this hour.

We went through several of the caves, and I was surprised by how DARK it is in there!
S6300778.JPG

S6300779.JPG

I have a slight fear of the dark, so this was a little freaky for me! I did ok, until Brian decided to hide behind something in there, and then jump out and yell, "BOO!" which almost made me pee my pants!!! He just laughed and hugged me, and Lydia giggled up a storm! Of course after that, Lydia kept jumping out to scare me about ever 2 feet!

We walked over to a little playground area that I had not known about and let the kids play on that for awhile while Brian and I watched. Then we headed to the barrel bridge. I remember on one of my first visits to Disney, probably my first visit actually, when I was 2, I was TERRIFIED of this bridge!!! Absolutely terrified! There was a girl on it that made it rock back and forth and I thought for sure I was going to plunge to my watery doom! I remember my Mom got after the girl for scaring me. I had nightmares about that bridge for years!!
DSCF3545.JPG

But, this time, I thought the bouncy barrel bridge was a lot of fun!!! I made sure no other kids were on it, and we all bounced and swayed across.
DSCF3548.JPG

LOOK AT ME NOW MA!! LOOK AT ME NOW!!!!!

After that exhilarating experience, we headed for the fort. Lydia had to use the restroom, so I took her inside Disney's smallest bathroom while the rest of the gang explored. When we came out, we didn't' see anyone else, so we looked around awhile.

"Whatcha lookin at Lydia??"
DSCF3554.JPG

"Horse BUTTS!" giggle giggle giggle!!!
DSCF3553.JPG

All of a sudden, Arminda came up behind me, and tapped me on the shoulder! She was giggling, so I knew she thought she had pulled a fast one on me.

"How did you get there!" I said.

She giggled and told me that they had been through the secret tunnel! She wanted me to go with her too. So, me, Lydia, Arminda and Corey went into the tunnel. Arminda heard someone coming, so she decided to hide, and as they went by, she jumped out and yelled, "BOO!" it was great, it was a bunch of young girls, who SCREAMED at the top of their lungs!!! Arminda thought she was very clever for scaring them! They thought it was very funny that they got scared! We could hear them giggling all through the tunnel as they walked the other way.

When we got back to the fort, the kids and Brian decided to play some checkers.
So, we sat down, and played a few games of checkers.

This might not sound like a great way to spend an afternoon at Disney, but it was just perfect!!! It was so relaxing, and fun just being there together, laughing and playing checkers!

Lydia needed a drink, so she hauled herself up to a drinking fountain and filled up her bottle! I thought she looked funny, so I took her picture!!!
DSCF3564.JPG

We were getting tired, so we thought we'd leave the island. I had never been on the steamboat (that I recall anyway) so we went over there. The boat had just left, so we had awhile to wait. The kids were tired, so they stretched out on the benches and rested while we waited. I'm pretty sure that Lydia fell asleep. Brian started chatting with an older gentleman that was waiting too. I wished that I had the courage to lay down and take a little nap like the kids were all doing!

Soon enough though, the boat came around and we got on board! The kids all sat on the benches, and Brian and I decided to turn it into a romantic cruise and hold hands and pretend we had no kids at the railing. That lasted all of about 3 minutes, when Lydia came over and needed to be picked up by her Daddy. Brian tried to hold her and my hand at the same time, but that wasn't working out too well! At least he tried! It was a fun little tour around Tom Sawyer's Island, and I really enjoyed the narrative. We were standing next to a group of teenage girls who were giggling an having a good time. It was fun to watch and listen to them! After awhile, Lydia went and sat by Arminda again, so Brian and I continued our romantic cruise. There MAY have been a little bit of smoochin even!

Since this was our last park day, and we love Splash Mountain, we knew we'd have to ride that again before we left! Earlier in the day, Lydia had been very concerned about getting her face wet, and washing off her makeup. So, I asked her if she was sure she wanted to ride. She said yes, so we got in line. Corey and Lydia rode together, and me Brian and Arminda rode in front of them.

It was fun, and Corey and Lydia got SOAKED!!! Lydia didn't seem to care that her makeup was not dripping down her face!! After we got off, I asked Lydia if I could wipe the green out of her eyebrows, since that was about the only place left with the makeup. She said, "No, I can't wash any of it off until I have a bath." So, we left it on, and I couldn't help but chuckle that she now looked like the Incredible Hulk!

We suddenly realized that we had not yet been on the Peter Pan ride this trip, so we started walking over there. On the way, Brian ducked inside Pecos Bill's restaurant. Before I knew what was going on, a large group of CMs were surrounding Arminda, and broke into song!

It was pretty funny! Two of the CMs even did a little duet for her. They then handed her a cookie. She was happy!

And, we continued on to Fantasy Land!

The girls spotted this sleigh and had to have their pictures taken in it

Unfortunately, when we got over to Fantasyland, the line for Peter Pan was 60 minutes and they were out of Fast Passes, so we decided to head back to the Time Share and pack up for our trip home the next day.

We stopped in at the Tink shop and Corey found a hat that he thought Arminda should get

Funny boy, funny boy.

On the way out, I decided to stop in at BBB and see where I could file a complaint about the experience we had received.
I went inside and explained to the woman at the front how we had been in there before, and how we had had one wonderful FGIT, Susan, and four that were not. I asked her if there was a phone number I could call, or a form I could fill out to file a complaint. She called over a manager and said,
"This woman had a wonderful experience in here last week with Susan, and wants to know where she can go to fill out a form saying so."
How she GOT that out of what I had just told her is BEYOND me!
I felt bad, but I had to correct her! I interrupted and said, "Well, yes, I would like to comment Susan for the great job we did, but I wanted to know where I could file a complaint about the other FGITs."
I went on to explain to her everything that had happened, along with the fact that Arminda's hair had only lasted a few hours. I might mention that there were hardly any people in BBB at this time, and honestly I was hoping that they would offer to redo Arminda's hair for her. But, they did not.

The manager took down my information, and said that she would look into it. I had hoped that someone would get hold of me to let me know that something had been done, but no one ever did. They had my name and my phone number, so that wouldn't have been difficult to do.

As we were leaving, Lydia wanted to sit at the fountain.

I asked her what she was thinking in this picture and she said, "I thought that boy was cute!"

Then, we got another shot without the cute boy. Well, without THAT cute boy!

As we headed back to our car on the monorail, everyone was pretty sleepy!

I thought Arminda might just fall asleep sitting there!

And, Lydia had been out for awhile!!!

So, what did Mom and Dad do all day?? Apparently, they went with Heather and Henry to the Magic Kingdom in the morning and then in the afternoon went to Animal Kingdom

Aren't they cute!!!

I would like to mention that since this picture was taken Dad was diagnosed with diabetes. He and Mom have now lost a lot of weight and they both look AMAZING! I'm so proud of them both, I just wanted to mention it!
