Tivo Tessa!!!! And you "Disneyfying" the pics!!! Too hilarious! What LOVELY photographers you had, cutting off Henry's head and leaving Sawyer out of the picture!! Definitely not magical. Oh, and I just don't understand the eye-rolling about too much pic-taking. My husband NEVER does that. Ha!

Oh, I LOVE Teresa's Snow White costume!!! So cute. The family pic in front of the tree is great!! And you got our very same "Jesus Loves You" message in the sky that we did at Sea World!!!

I'm with you--I love the goats!!! What a great family pic in front of the wizard hat! Tessa looks beautiful even when she pouts!! I can relate about the bad ending to the good day. Oh well, those bad memories do fade, thankfully! It cracks me up that you put that video on there!! I am enjoying the multimedia experience that is your trip report, by the way!

Yes, sadly enough, both of my kids know how to pause the tv. :sad2: But, Sawyer also knows how to turn it off, which is good, right? ;)

Henry says I'm never happy with how pictures turn out, so why bother? What he doesn't understand is that if he'd allow me to take 50 of them, I'd surely like at least one!:rotfl2:

It's good to know that Jesus loves you at Sea World just as much as he does at Disney. :cloud9:

It's funny that one of the kid's favorite things were the goats and seeing ducks! We have a local zoo with goats and ducks that would be a lot cheaper than Disney!

Honestly, I think the bad ending was kind of funny. If I don't laugh at my children's naughtyness, who will? :rotfl:

Gosh, I guess my ginormous feet had little affect on the speed of your updating.

Great update anyway! :wizard:

Tessa's seranade was awesome.

Glad you are a mom of your word.
I'd been like "shut up, we're in Disney. You can pout if you want, but the rest of us are having fun."
You're waaaaay nicer than me! And your technique will probably bring about change in behavior. :thumbsup2

Princess K has written Tessa a letter, and we need to mail it. Coming to a mailbox near you soon!

I don't know why this picture bothers me so much, but it does! Why would he just cut my kid out of the picture?! Grrr.....

 hahahahaha perhaps so he didnt cut off Henry's head again! My DH is really picky about pics too. They have to be perfect! I do love all of your pics though....and it was so cool seeing the AK ones from years past! Very cherished memories. And don't worry about Sawyer ( btw I love his name!), you only have to chase him for another year. Personally, I hated that part. Three/four is such a fun age....and 9/10 too. Anyways, your family is just beautiful and you all look like you are really enjoying yourselves too! Even that cutie Tessa is enjoying herself!!! And, I agree, she is cute even when tired and cranky! :cutie: Thanks for the awesome update Heather!

I'm a little late to the party but still had to comment! Life has been a bit crazy with DD starting kindergarten and then turning 5 yesterday (Mommy is still recovering from all of this growing up stuff!).

First, :thumbsup2  :woohoo: :cheer2: an update!

Tivo Tessa - too funny! I have a Tivo Jordan who pauses her show to go to the bathroom and doesn't understand why she can't pause her shows at Mammaw's house too (A VCR is too high tech for my mom so forget about a DVR).

I love Tessa's baby Simba outfit and the interaction with Rafiki. We had a great character interaction with Rafiki and Timon at the MK. I am so jealous that you met Flik from Bug's Life. We haven't tracked him down yet. Why do all the Daddies volunteer for photos with Pocohontas and Jasmine??? ;)

Glad to see Sawyer warmed up to Goofy a bit - you just need another trip soon so he gets more practice with meeting characters. :thumbsup2

Thank goodness my dd is not the only kid who overreacts to being disciplined. If she would just listen while being corrected and be quiet, it would be over and done with in two seconds but she has to overreact and turn something simple into a huge big meltdown and ordeal. Sorry you missed time at DHS but good for you for sticking to what you said.

Looking forward to your next update!

:cool1: I really enjoyed the update! Can't wait for more:goodvibes
Thanks! We need to bug Teresa to get this day posted! I want to hear her version!

To be honest, I was getting pretty tired and wasn't feeling very well throughout the whole trip. So, I was ready to go. Tessa just gave me a good excuse to leave!

Wait, no- it's really that I'm a mom of my word and I do what I say. ::yes::

We can't wait to get mail from Princess K!!

Thanks! I love Sawyer's name, too! There is a little girl in Tessa's kindergarten class named Sawyer and a little boy named Henry. All she needs is a Heather now! I saw that she had a girl named Sawyer in her class before she started school. So I made sure to talk to her about not telling the little girl that Sawyer is a boy's name (although we all know it is. :))

 It's hard when they start to grow up, isn't it? I didn't cry at all when Tessa started school the first day, or the second day. But, the third day, I had a mental breakdown! :lmao: She'll always be my baby!

If my parents can work the DVR, your mom can work a DVR! My dad still asks if something is on "his" internet or if it's just on "my" internet. But, they know how to record shows, pause, ff, the dvr! My mom can even check the weather on it!

We're going back in February, so maybe Sawyer will actually give the characters a hug! As per my siggy, we are leaving the Disney-hater at home! It'll be just me, Mom, Tessa, and Sawyer!

I am FINALLY able to read your version of the day! And, i worte this before the meeting, and then forgot to post it!

Poor little Tivo Tessie!
I love your artistic "never look back" picture!
Cool Rafiki reenacting "Circle of Life!
I like your Pumbaa sidetrack.
You got to meet Pocahontas!
Her dress is a bit low there!
Oh, poor little Sawyer with Flik!
Constipated Tessa!!!!

Oh, look baby Tessa! She was so tiny then!
You had some lousy Photopass Photographers!Stupid head! cutting Sawyer right out of the picture!

Oh, I don't LOVE the Pocahontas show! I just liked it better than Lion King!

That is so funny the little girl gave Tessa directions to her house!

What are you talking about???? Pocahontas WAS at the entrance?????!!!!?

Don't count on Lion King being better next time!!!

Aww, you are so sweet saying I'm cute!

Aha! That's why I don't remember Saywer being scared in the Bug show!!! He wasn't there!

Poor Arminda has the sun in her eyes in BOTH those pictures!

I'm lauging about your lack of impressedness about Devine!

Aww, cute Dancin Bean!

So funny about the exotic animal learning session!

I SWEAR I did NOT read your TR or even peak before I wrote mine!

You thought Turk was a BOY!!! Shame on you!!!

You don't remember how many movies either, huh?

My food wasn't as pleantiful as it seemed, it was ontop of some mashed potatos. The actual food portion wasn't very big!

I thought you deserved a sticker anyway!

Finally was able to read this...just wanted to say that I love the Sawyer pregnancy shirt. How cute is that???

The funny thing about the shirt is that right after she had it made, she started having second thoughts about naming him Sawyer.
But I think she went through with it because she already had the shirt made.
:lmao:

Love ya, mean it Heather!

A-ha! Good to know you don't love the Pocahontas show. I was starting to worry about you!

Yep, she was there when we arrived!

You ARE cute!

Devine= full of herself viney lady on stilts.

I know you didn't peek, it's the whole sharing a brain thing!

Um, HELLO! Mashed potatoes are FOOD!

I did deserve a sticker. :sad2:

Finally was able to read this...just wanted to say that I love the Sawyer pregnancy shirt. How cute is that???

I remember when you were the first one to read my update. Ahhh...those were the days.

Thanks! I thought the shirt was pretty cute myself. The only problem was that people didn't realize I was pregnant. :confused3

1.)Yep, she was there when we arrived!
2.)Um, HELLO! Mashed potatoes are FOOD!

I did deserve a sticker. :sad2:

1.)Yes, I understand that Pocahontas was at the entrance, but you said, "If this Pocahontas had been at the entrance Henry would have insisted on a picture" I was just reminding you that Pocahontas WAS at the entrance. ;) Silly girl, as if there were TWO Pocahontas there!

2.)So is corn! And, there weren't many mashed potatos, they were just piled up in one little pile with my pot roast lightly covering the top. Not much food for your buck at Prime Time!

3.)I agree, you should have got a sticker.

Wow! Started reading your TR and I can't believe your FGIT weren't very nice! Nor the photopass photographers. I would've been so mad!

Love the costumes the kids wore too! Especially Sawyer's! I would've loved to have an outfit like that for my little man!

Hey Heather...you need to update your title to show you have a more recent fabulous update! :thumbsup2

1. You're absolutely right! I would never insinuate that there could be more than ONE Pocahontas. :scared1:

2. No, corn isn't real food. Especially once you take it off the cob. If I would have ate that mountain of corn, I wouldn't have come out of the bathroom for days.

3. You could have given me your sticker....just sayin'.:sad2:

Those FGITs are even stalking us on the disboards! We just got a snotty comment from one of them on someone else's TR! :rotfl:

Hey Heather...you need to update your title to show you have a more recent fabulous update! :thumbsup2
I didn't realize that! Thank you!

Just got caught up on your last update. :) Awesome pictures as usual!

Thanks! At least the pictures WITH Sawyer in them were all right. ;)

May 14, 2008

Our trip was nearing it's end, only 3 more days! We weren't sure what we wanted to do. Mom and I were up early and had our morning coffee together. We knew Teresa wouldn't have a car, so we thought we'd pick her up and go do something. Henry wanted some "alone time", so he stayed at the rental house with Sawyer.

First, the kids watched a little tv in the "office", which was also the 5th bedroom.

634_360x480.jpg

This soon turned into "Let's pull all the cushions off the couch and jump on them!" This is a game they play all too often and someone usually ends up getting hurt. :sad2:

629_640x480.jpg

This seems like a good time for a tour of the rental house, since I only have 4 pictures from this day! :rotfl:

Just inside the front door is the office. Here's the couch with a pull-out bed.

There was a computer with high speed internet. Tessa was on Build-a-Bearville.

DSC09242_360x480.jpg

Across the hall from the office was the garage/game room/laundry room/storage area.

DSC09243_640x480.jpg

There were 3 strollers out there! I think people buy them for the parks and then just leave them there.

The washer/dryer.

DSC09245_640x480.jpg

I don't think I told you what happened to Sawyer's Chip t-shirt. Henry washed it after our AK day and somehow it got dark gray spots all over it. BIG spots! I washed it a couple of times and pre-treated it and NOTHING would get it out! I was pretty upset because I'd spent a long time making that shirt. Henry made fun of me for being upset and my mom laughed along with him. :snooty: It was NOT funny! I'm still planning on taking the applique off and putting it on a different shirt.

Okay, back to our tour.

Past the garage and office is the formal dining room, the kitchen, and the breakfast nook. This picture was on our last day, but pretend you don't know that.

This was taken from the living room.

The pool:

DSC09231_640x480.jpg

The master bedroom is off the living area. We had stripped the bed because we were ready to leave.

DSC09232_640x480.jpg

The master bath:

DSC09233_360x480.jpg

There was a 2nd master bedroom/bathroom that looked almost exactly like this one. That's where mom and dad slept.

There were 2 other bedrooms, each with double beds and they shared a bathroom.

I wasn't crazy about the decorating. It just wasn't my style at all. But, it was a really nice house and we really liked it! Plus, I think I told you we got a GREAT deal on it.
-----------------

Okay, back to the trip report.

We went over to Teresa's time share to pick her up. It was the first time I'd ever been there. When we first pulled up, I wasn't terribly impressed. It looks kind of like a mid-priced motel. But, once I stepped inside, I was quite impressed. It was very nice and pretty, with quite a bit of room. Then, we walked out the back door and I was VERY impressed. It was SO pretty back there! They had a little screened in porch that faced a beautiful lake and pretty trees all around. There was a pool which seemed to be pretty private. It's a small timeshare, so there weren't tons of people out there. I can see why they like going there every year!

First we went to Bells outlet mall. I hadn't been there since they remodeled and I gotta say, it didn't look like I'd remembered it! They completely rebuilt the place!

We headed straight for the Disney store, of course! This is a very nice outlet store. But, a couple of things I had bought at the other outlet were more expensive here- weird!

Arminda was such a sweetheart! She showed me the necklaces and asked which princess I liked the best. I told her I really liked Cinderella. She smiled very slyly and told me I should go look over at something else.

Lydia really wanted to buy a present for Tessa. So, she got her a Tinkerbell necklace/bracelet set. I thought that was the sweetest thing!! Teresa's kids were using their own money to buy family members gifts!

I found some $3 pins because Tessa was enjoying pin trading so much. But, I don't remember buying much else.

My dad found a really pretty necklace for my mom with some red stones and diamond-like stones shaped like Mickey. It was very pretty, and wasn't real cheap. But, he got it for her anyway. He can be so giving when he wants to be!

When we left the store, Arminda "surprised" me with a Cinderella necklace that she had bought me. She is SUCH a sweet girl. She was practically giggling with excitement when she gave it to me. I just love her!

After we had our fill, we thought we should do some MORE Disney shopping. So, we headed on over to another outlet store. I have no idea where it was. Teresa was giving out the directions and I was totally lost. But, we found it with no problems.

This outlet store wasn't nearly as nice. I don't recall buying anything. Oh, I did get Arminda and Lydia some sunglasses.

We were shopped out by then and it was time to meet Henry and Sawyer at the Golden Corral. I love the Golden Corral! It's a buffet that actually has GOOD food! I know, how crazy is that? We have to settle for Old Country Buffet up here and it really stinks. Everything tastes the same and that same isn't so good. We need a Golden Corral in our part of Michigan!

The Golden Corral also reminds me of my Grandpa. He loved eating there. The only other time I'd been to Golden Corral was with him, so I had some strong memories of Grandpa when I walked in there. He was such a funny, sweet, old man. I sure do miss him.

Wipe my tears....okay...I'm ready to go on.

Mom was paying for everyone because she's wonderful that way. But, for some reason they charged us for 2 extra people. We still can't figure out how they did that. I think it was because they counted Tessa and Lydia as adults and then also charged us for them as kids.

I had to argue a little bit to get them to give mom some money back. She wasn't going to say anything, but I was!

We had such a fun time there and stayed quite a while. The girls were extra silly. I don't remember what they were doing, but it looks pretty funny to me.

639_640x480.jpg

640_640x480.jpg

After we ate, we were going to go back to our rental house to swim. Teresa ended up having to go to WalMart to get Arminda a new bathing suit. But, they met up with us at the house afterwards. We had a nice time swimming and then it was time for bed.

Tomorrow we would go to Epcot again! YAY!

(I'm sorry this has been the most boring-est trip report update ever. I promise the next one will be much better.)

Up next: Yum....$30 worth of cardboard

Sounds like a very nice day. Your rental house looks nice! I am laughing at all the strollers in the garage; it looks like a stroller graveyard!

I have never eaten at Golden Corral. We don't go to buffets at all, really. When I was growing up we rarely ate out, but when we did my mother would say, I want to go to a place where I can sit down and they bring the food to me! I don't want to work for my food!

It is one of the endearing qualities about my family! ;)

I can't believe it's almost over! :sad2:

There was a serious lack of funny in this update. I should have let you write it! Stroller graveyard- now that's funny!

You've never been to Golden Corral? *gasp* Henry has quite an appetite, so we usually get our money's worth at a buffet! Plus, I like that dessert is included. :cloud9:

I think our moms would get along!!! When I was a kid we were never allowed to eat someplace that my mom had to "pay to carry her own food." Even on vacations we had to go to all sit down restaraunts. It really stunk as a kid because I really just wanted a happy meal!
