Dork Wars Episode II: The Revenge of Joaquin - Nov. 12 / Jul. 13 PTR *UPDATE 6/30*

I am so glad that we have the Animal Kingdom Lodge reserved now too. YEAH both places are booked. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Yay for Kidani Village! It is really sad how many of those snacks I have not had. My main goal for April is to get a dole whip. :rolleyes1 Mmm, those cream cheese pretzels are really good.

Oh man, even with a family of five, that third bathroom makes a huge difference. Good call!

You know, you always have to start somewhere. :rotfl2: Just pick something and go from there.

Dude, words cannot describe how important that third bathroom is going to be. I think I would die if I didn't have it.

All caught up! And YET AGAIN, I have missed out on being here to send good wishes for another great trip. DARN IT! *ahem* Anyways, excited to hear about all the plans for the new trip. :thumbsup2 to staying at Kidani, my favorite resort! You'll really enjoy it there! And I got to look over those lists of classic Disney treats I might have to make note of them for a possible future trip :D

I also have to take the time to look at the list and see what I still have to try. WOW that is going to be so hard to do:rotfl2:

That's okay, life always tends to get in the way of everything.

I'm excited to stay at Kidani. I do love Jambo house, but that third bathroom was definitely the kicker for sure.

Definitely make note of the Disney treats! It gives you something to look forward to on trips. I love working on the list. :lmao:

Oh, well then. We have some work to do! We have to get your list figured out before the trip. :rotfl:

Ah, you are staying at Kidani! I would love that...how wonderful!!

I love that caramel popcorn....makes my stomach growl just thinking of it!!

Just found this TR! Can't wait to read more. I saw your list of foods "goals" on this as well and "borrowed" it. Very cool idea! I'm in the process of planning our next trip. My mom will be coming along as well so I'm really getting into this one. She hasn't been to Disney since 1991!

just wanted to let everyone know that Danielle's Grandma (my mom) passed away on January 26th. She will be so missed for sure. she lived next door to us for 22 years before going into the nursing home so we saw her every day.

Danielle also went to an orthopedic doc and has to do some physical therapy for her knee to strengthen it.

Hopefully very shortly she will be back on the DIS.

How heartbreaking - I am so sorry for your loss. :worried:

I'm so sorry to hear this. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I also hope the physical therapy helps.

I missed this. I am so sorry to both of you for your loss. Please accept my belated thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone. Remember me? I'm not so sure I even remember myself anymore. :lmao:

This is a brief brief update for you guys. But I'm here first and foremost to tell you that I am going to be back on the DIS in the very near future. I'm actually leaving for Italy very soon (this Friday) and I'll be back on the 24th. After that, I will be back in full force. First, I wanted to let you know what's been going on.

As you are well aware, my Grandma did pass away at the end of January. It's been a tough time, but I appreciate everyone's well wishes during that difficult time.

We had a lot to struggle through with that, and at the same time, I had a non-stop back and forth regarding my car. Yup, that. Remember the accident I had on 12/26/12? Yup. Just got my car back like days ago. It's been endless.

I have also been going to physical therapy to get my strength back in my knee. Upon impact, my knee hit the dashboard and it caused some damage / pain. I've been going to therapy to get that in order.

On top of all of that, as if I didn't seem sad enough or my life didn't seem cursed enough.....my boyfriend broke up with me in the midst of all this.

This was one of the hardest blows for me. We had such an amazing thing going, and honestly it hit me out of left field. And what was it for? Oh, yeah. His ex is moving here. And he's confused.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

To which I say, he shouldn't be confused about anything. Because I'm clearly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, that's my life in a nutshell right now. Stressful. But I need my DIS friends back and I'm so sorry for my absence. I'm ready to talk about my trips, what's coming up, and most importantly, to reconnect with all of you my friends.

:hug::hug::hug::hug:

He's clearly crazy and you are clearly awesome! Have a great time in Italy and forget your troubles. Maybe meet some gorgeous Italian guy to practice your languages skills on. Ciao Bella!

All right guys, I'm back to fill you in on our plans. I did manage to make our dining reservations at the 180 day mark, but with everything that was going on, I never got the chance to post it. So, I'm going to go through the dining reservations first, then we'll talk about our counter service plans, and then move on to the day to day itinerary. I'm getting excited!

A little side note too? I'm going to San Diego April 22nd for business. I'll be at our corporate offices on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Well.....we know that San Diego is close to.....Anaheim! So, I decided to take an extra day and go up to go to Disneyland! I'm so stoked. My Dad is coming for the weekend and so is my brother Jason. I'm super excited!

Anyway, here comes the dining plans!

Day 1 - Thursday July 4th

This is our arrival day. Our flight is super early, and mom wanted to do something really special. We'll be doing Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, which I'm sure the boys will love. Anyone have any experience with it? We've never done it.

Gotta get ready for the Boma coma. One of our favorites for sure.

We think that the boys are going to absolutely love this one. And who can say no to a shake and a burger? Not this girl!

Day 8 - Thursday July 11th

Via Napoli

But, let's have the pizza speak for itself.

Day 9 - Friday July 12th

Ohana for breakfast

This was Jason's request. It's a favorite of his. And I can't say no to a breakfast buffet.

Day 10 - Saturday July 13th

1900 Park Fare for dinner

We typically do breakfast here, but we really wanted the step-sister experience this time around. Should be lots of fun!

So that's the table service round up! What do you guys think? ;)

Sounds like a great line up! I've done Mickey's Backyard BBQ. It was ok, I much preferred Hoop Dee Doo for the entertainment (I found Mickey's to be very kid-oriented, so your nephew might love it!) but Mickey's had better food! Really nice buffet. The show included a lot of getting the little kids up to dance with characters and parents crowding around with video cameras so I didn't get to see a whole lot.

I love your choices! We've never done the BBQ, so I'm no help. I think you'll love the step-sisters antics. So much fun there. We're doing 'Ohana breakfast again too. Maddie adored it there!

Great ADRs! Be Our Guest was really good for lunch and my sister went there for her birthday dinner and she loved it then too! And Via Napoli is always a good choice. :thumbsup2
