Doreen's Fresh Start & Success Story! (Welcome Friends!)

Ah, geez, WISH-sis. . .ya gotta have a biopsy? :guilty: But then again, better safe than sorry. :) Know that I'm sending lots of :goodvibes and prayers your way.

Keep us posted as to what's going on, OK?

Love,
Erin

Dang girl! Can I come over for dinner and just veg on your couch. Think Todd will mind? :)
You are going to LOVE Half-blood prince! Let me know when you finish so we can discuss! It is so much better the Order of the Phoenix - which was still pretty good.

You are my hero with the walking! I promise I'll try to be better next week!

I LOVE FRIDAYS!!!!!
Let's get the party started! ::yes:: :cheer2: :cloud9: :goodvibes

OK, OK, no more smilies in this post! :p

I survived all my medical procedures yesterday without any problems. I came home and read HP6. I didn't make the chicken dinner - hopefully tonight I'll do that. I did get my 2 mile training session in - DH went along (after riding 18 miles on his bike!). So far I haven't missed one - that's 4 in a row!

Today I'm at work early so I can get home and run DD to Hersheypark. She'll spend the evening there with a friend (her friend is "good friends" with the Hershey Kiss and the Reese's PB Cup characters ;) ). Then I can come home, make dinner and, you guessed it - read more!

Today:
1. Devotions - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. - Psalm 46:1
2. Pills - I'll take them with breakfast.
3. Water - yep.
4. Healthy eating - B = peach yogurt w/ almonds, L = a burger, D will hopefully be chicken & mashed potatoes.
5. Exercise - a rest day.
6. Scale - 154 and holding.

This weekend will find DS and I rehearsing with the Drama Team for Vacation Bible School. Every night (Sunday through Thursday) we'll do a different skit to fit with the theme of an African safari. DS and I are playing twins - we have matching outfits and everything! :teeth: That means next week will be extra busy with work and then Bible School each day. I'll make an effort to get the laundry caught up and grocery shopping finished so the week runs smoothly.

How fun! I never did drama, but always wanted to. I was a pure band geek in school!

So, what do you think of the book so far?

You are doing so awesome! I am so proud of you!

~Amanda

Good morning Doe! :sunny:

Congratulations on getting your training sessions done!!!! :jumping1: Keep up the good work and that half in St.Louis will be a breeze! :boat:

Bible School sounds like a lot of fun!!! Hope you have a great time with DS! :teeth:

Have a great weekend, Doe! :flower:

Way to go on keeping up your miles walking - and walking at 9:30 at night???? Someone would find me laying on the sidewalk because I'd end up passing out after about 10 due to it's way past my bedtime!!!!! Glad you can do it - and you CAN do it!!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Today will be a busy one. I've been up doing laundry since early this morning. 10 AM will be drama team rehearsal. After that I'll be cleaning up the house and getting any extra props we might need for the play tomorrow night. The checkbook is crying out for some attention too. I have a 3 mile training session to fit in somewhere. I'm halfway through HP6 and would rather just spend the day reading, but these other things must get done first. Oh how I remember my mother lecturing me about doing the work first and playing later - guess I'd still rather play first ;) but I must be growing up a bit because I have the discipline to at least get SOME of the work done first. :teeth:

Good morning, WISH-sis! It sounds like you have quite a busy day planned. I admire you for getting up early and starting that laundry. . .ya wanna come over and fold some of mine with me? It's only been sitting (clean, fortunately) for 3 DAYS! :teeth:

:Pinkbounc Way to go on your training schedule. Seriously, now, you are inspiring me. If you can squeeze in 3 miles today, I'll try for 2.5.

Have fun at rehearsal. I think it's great that you and DS are doing something so fun together.

Love you, honey.
Erin

Hope the play goes well and that you were able to enjoy some you time too!!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Hi, ya, Doreen! How are you doing today? It's a beautiful day in PA, isn't it? I have this picture of you sitting under a tree reading your HP books. . .just keep drinking the water as you go!

Is today your rest day? It's mine! :cloud9:

Take care, WISH-sis, and love to everyone at your house--
Erin

Oh Erin, I would LOVE to just sit under a shady tree and read HP6 today! :goodvibes

I've helped with Sunday School this morning. Now I'm getting ready to rehearse with DS for our first skit tonight. We are twins in the play and we have to work hard to say lots of lines together. Then I may get a couple chapters of HP6 read before Bible School and our play performance. After the performance, we'll spend time blocking and rehearsing the next skit for tomorrow evening. The whole week will be like that, with the last skit on Thursday evening. Sounds pretty tiring but I'll get through it.

I did get my 3 miles in yesterday - I'm pretty proud that I've stuck to my training schedule for over a week. I know that doesn't sound like much but it's a big accomplishment for me. I'm worried about my training runs this week with work and the play every night. I have to get 2 miles in on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'll spend time today thinking about a realistic way to get everything done and still keep my sanity.

Gotta run! :sunny:

Good morning, Doreen! :sunny: It sounds like you've got quite a schedule going what with your acting career and all. :goodvibes How are you going to fit in your exercise? Maybe early in the morning? I know it's not the same as actually being there, but if you want to get up really early so you can get your two miles in before work, I'll do the same here. . .we could do it together. :) Let me know what you think. . .

I'll be thinking of you today and asking God to keep you and hold you close. Have you heard anything about that biopsy yet?

Love you, WISH-sis--
Erin

P.S. What'cha doing this weekend? PM me and let me know, 'cause DMIL doesn't need me all that much.

Wow!! August is here already!! :earseek:

The play went well last evening. We do a different skit every night, telling an evolving story, so I'm a bit worried about learning tonight's lines. Fortunately, we are keeping our scripts with us on stage, so I'll have it if I need it.

With all the excitement and nerves of performing, I'm afraid I was up way too late last evening and now I'm one tired pup today. Life goes on and so will I! ::yes::

Today:
1. Devotions - He that handles a matter wisely shall find good; and he who trusts in the Lord, happy is he. - Proverbs 16:20
2. Pills - already taken.
3. Water - cheers! :fish:
4. Healthy eating - B was blueberry yogurt w/ almonds, L will be a cheeseburger, D???? might be a hastily eaten bowl of cereal after the play and my run, right before I head to bed.
5. Exercise - The training plan calls for 2 miles and I'm determined to do them. I'll get home from work at 5, head to the play until about 8, and then do my 2 miles before it gets dark.
6. Scale - today it was at 153. It's been either 154 or 153 for over a week now. I guess steady is good.

My new cubicle was supposed to be cleaned out by today so I could move in. However it looks like nothing has been touched. I'm going to start slowly moving all the stuff to one small out-of-the-way area on the desk and start moving my stuff in over the course of this week. My goal is to be a full time occupant by Friday! :cloud9:

Onward I go into my day! :sunny:

Good morning Doe!

I can't believe that August is here either! :earseek: Just a couple of days ago, I was telling myself that I have 6 months until our trip to WDW. I looked at my counter and realized I only have 4! :earseek: Time has been flying by!

I'm sending some :wizard: :wizard: your way to help you memorize your lines, get your walk in today, and so that your cubicle will be ready as soon as possible. :goodvibes

Have a blessed day! :flower:

You sound so cheerful this morning :) I'm sending you extra :wizard: for your play tonight!

I'm trying my darndest to get on a training schedule. Right now I'm taking it one day at a time. I need to send you Susan's email so you can give her some trouble. She has been avoiding me when it comes to the half-marathon ;)

~Amanda

The play went well again last evening. The little kids at Vacation Bible School are so adorable. When I walked in last evening, several of them recognized my outfit and pegged me as one of the twins in the play. :p They really seem to be enjoying it! It has been great fun to work with my son and the others on the drama team - we're truly having a good time. I'm looking forward to another performance this evening.

After the play, I had to pick up DD and her friend from the tennis courts and run the friend home. Then DD and I returned home and did my 2 mile training session. She was very sweet to go along with me. She's starting varsity tennis in 10 days and figures she'll be in great shape if she works out with me.

Today:
1. Devotions - Incline your ear and come unto Me; hear, and your soul shall live. - Isaiah 55:3
2. Pills - ready to be taken with breakfast.
3. Water - yep, I'll be drinking!
4. Healthy eating - possibly.
5. Exercise - a rest day.
6. Scale - 154, same old same old.

My food choices have been horrible lately. Every day I write out a plan to eat healthy and every day I stray from it. The truth is that I'm tired, with work and the play this week. I'm staying up too late at night (all keyed up) and I don't have the time or energy to cook or shop for groceries. Then I get really tired during the day and reach for Coke (caffeine) and vending machine carbs to keep me going. What I really need is a weekend of rest. I'm not going to stress out over eating at the moment, because this is a temporary situation. I'm focused on getting my training sessions in and that will be enough until this weekend.

I'll put one foot in front of the other today. :sunny:

Good morning, WISH-sis. for your Tuesday. You've done such a great job of maintaining your training schedule!!! :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:
You're a jock athlete princess: if I ever saw one!

How about planning out one healthy meal for today and holding yourself to it? A Subway wrap for dinner?

Look for a PM. . .

Love ya, honey--
Erin

Take it one day at a time. If you are drinking your water and doing exericse then you are only missing 1/3 of a system. You'll get back on track. Believe me I know what it is like to be going and going and going. Don't add to your stress level by looking at what is on your plate. Do what you cand for today and try again tomorrow!

I'm glad to hear the play went well! :)
