Hey all
has anyone used Doordash, Grubhub or any of the other food delivery services to a resort? if yes, what was your experience like? Any restaurant suggestions for those of us traveling in?

I saw lots of people getting deliveries at Kidani. Seemed to work well enough. Some met outside, some met in the lobby.

I was just searching GrubHub and see that Earl of Sandwich is on the list!

We ordered doordash snd uber eats last year. but I know they so not deliver at every resort. Ask the people at your resort thread it's the best way to know.

I’m thinking of doing this this next week too. But where I live now we don’t have food delivery so it’s all new to me. With the limited food options at SSR it might be nice to try them.

I recently had a major issue with Doordash - I believe it was because we were in the car headed to our hotel (not Disney, just FYI) when placing the order. The order failed so I tried another restaurant. It failed, too. Several days later I realized I had been charged SIX times (over $300) by DoorDash for the orders. They fully cleared and didn't drop off and since DD couldn't "see" the transactions/error on their end said I just had to dispute them. A month later I'm still disputing 3 of the 6. Lesson learned - don't try to place an order while in transit or at least that is what I felt like was the problem.

FWIW, we are about 50/50 on receiving correct and/or complete orders from any of the major delivery services so we try to order direct deliveries like Outback and Panera now.

Thank you. Ordering direct sounds good. Do you have a list of restaurants that deliver direct in that area?

I have used both Doordash and Grubhub at home, with no problems. Have not tried at Disney World.

I agree with PP that you might want to ask this on the thread for the resort at which you will be staying.

If you don't get info on the Dis, you can try asking cast members when you get to your hotel. They probably know which restaurants they have seen delivering, and also might know which delivery services have been used. (Don't try "calling the hotel" because you will get routed to someone off-site who won't have seen what's happening at the resort.)
