I was so excited Friday, because I found the magnet sheets at Big Lots. Got two packages for Wonder cruise in Feb. Then when I got home, I thought....these would be great for the Christmas cruise on Carnival too. I went back to Big Lots to get more and they were all gone. Went to Wal Mart and paid a little more for the package of 5 sheets. Will make a magnetic Christmas decoration for each door in our group on Carnival in December.

Thanks for the great tip! If you do find them, you better get all of them you want, because they will be gone later.

The door signs also make it easier to find your cabin. At the end of the day, they all look alike.

jrp- you got a great (accidental) deal! I have bought the same 5-packs of magnetic sheets twice at Wal-Mart for $7.89 each. So, you happened to luck out when they (Avery or Wal-Mart) shrink-wrapped them together!

I went to Big Lots and found the last 2 packages they had at our local one. I was so excited that I came home and told my DH. I should have known better. He already thinks I'm obssesed with our cruise and by the way he rolled his eyes at me, I guess this hasn't changed his mind!! I just keep telling him July will be here in no time!!! Make sure that you display your family surname or individual first names prominently on your signs. A friend of mine told me that her very cute but generic "Welcome to the Disney Magic sign" and cute "we'll be right back etc' signs were "lifted" from her door on an earlier cruise! She went looking around for them but never found them. Some very rude (and morally deficient) person probably took them and stuck it in their scrapbook when they got home! So beware!

Yeah Amy-

I laughed when I read on the package of magnets that I bought to "use promptly after opening" and that the paper fronts on the magnets "may yellow over time."

So now I'm wondering if I should make my signs for my January cruise right now and if they will be yellow by the time I put them up!

Hah! You can never be TOO PREPARED right?!! LOL!

I read the warning too about the yellowing of the signs over time. I still made up a couple and put them in some 2 gallon zip lock bags I got at Wal-Mart and will post in a couple of months how they faired..

I made door signs for our 11/15/03 cruise and took them out the other day when I was going thru everything for our scrapbook. Yes, I am just now starting to put that together. All of the magnets are just fine. In fact, I am using DD's Cinderella on our cruise in December too. I would use the other one but it was DS's bday last time...so I am making another one for this trip.

Silly me! I didn't even read the directions. Never have been good at that sort of thing. I already printed up my door signs for Feb. 2005. Hope they are still okay in 108 days!

I am going on a girls only weekend in mid-November and would like to stop there.

Hi all
I did go backto Wal-Mart and like someone said it must have been a good luck sign for the 15 magnet sheets in shrinkwrap, because there were no more when I checked again Oh well its back to Big Lots

The magnet paper and associated stuff is in the electronics area. I know that one of the big lots I went to didn't have any of this material while another Big-lots had plenty. Hope this helps

I found the magnetic paper in Big Lots, but they weren't in the stationery, school supplies or the electronic isles (where you'd thing they'd be). I was ready to give up when I saw them on the shelves by the cash register. I was looking at the Halloween costumes in the front area, and I turned and looked down, and there they were. A whole bunch of them...magnetic paper, glossy photo paper, note cards, tattoo and iron-on transfer sheets, and all Disney!

So, if you can't easily find the sheets, ask or look around in other parts of the store. I almost did a cheer when I saw them!
