Door dimensions for magnetic sign

I am trying to make a template that is the size of the porthole circle on the door. I am trying to make a magnetic sign. Does anyone know the size of this?

Do you mean the circle that has the room number on it? If so...I'm not sure it's metal...so your magnet wouldn't stick...(if your wanting to put it over your room numbers)

Maybe I'm just confussed.

Yes, the circle for the number. I don't want to stick the magnet on it but want to design around it. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm trying to get a vision of your idea....Your wanting to have the circle with the room number...and around it your magnet sign???

I don't have the demisions for you...but by looking at a photo of our door sign...we used a 8.5x11 sheet of magnetic paper...and it looks to be close to 8.5-9 inches top to bottom. Does that help?

That is good enough for me. I just can't find the post that someone did a long while back where they had a photo of a ruler which was measuring the circle. Thanks for the help.

Ok, I'm intrigued by these magnetic door sign posts. Where can you get magnetic paper? Do these just stick to the door? Can someone give me the basics? Sounds like a fun thing to do.

I picked up a pack of magnetic paper at Walmart. I downloaded the Disney font and lots of pictures. Now I will print things out on the paper and it sticks to the metal door all by itself. My son caught me designing on the computer, so they won't be a suprise. We are both having lots of fun planning our designs though. There is a thread already started if you search. Good luck!
