Now see, I like that they look like classic Dooney. The sketch was too cutesy for me as an entire bag. At least it seems like they're covering all their bases style wise.

I agree that the sketch pattern is kinda "cutesy", and "cutesy" is not typically my style.
HOWEVER, what I love about the sketch is that it totally exemplifies WALT DISNEY WORLD, and not just one character. I chose my bag based on the placement of not just Mickey and Minnie, but of the Castle, Tinkerbell, a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar, some Mickey-shaped Balloons, a couple pairs of MouseEars, a Mad Tea Party cup, and the Walt Disney World Banner..........Now that's Disney to me!

Well I am sure my DH will be doing the HAPPYDANCE because none of the new bags really appeal to me! I am kinda sad, I was hoping to bring a new bag home with me when we go in 2 weeks...but guess I will stick with the two that I have and wait for the next to come out.

I completely agree!! My personal favorite designs in the white sketch pattern are the Mickey ice cream bar, Mickey balloons, and the castle! I love that pattern, and just like you said, it illustrates what Disney parks are all about, at least to me I love having all of those bits of Disney magic on one bag!

I actually saw those about a year ago, and never ordered any. They sure are cute though!! All my Birks are the soft footbed though, not sure I can go back to regular Birks.

The new ones we are seeing on ebay are advertised as "pre-sale" being picked up on friday. The pictures are taken right from the pictures that we are seeing.

On the prices - I bet that the pricing is very similar to the regular dooney style pricing. The sketch and black wonder design pricing was right there with the regular dooney bags, so I would not think that the new Disney designs will not be that far off from regular retail.

Dooney has 3 sizes of the flat wristlets with zippers - a small coin size, medium size and a larger size. I think that the Disney version appears to be the "medium" size, and those retail for $40 in the canvas style.
I love the navy blue bag with big mickey faces - I think that is is probably the Carla style bag that retail for $135. The pink minnie bag looks like the Carla style bag too, but the way the pictures are set up, the pink one looks smaller. That may just be the way the picture was taken though.

This is so exciting! I wish I could be at the park on Friday for this event! Can't wait to hear what the gift with purchase is.

Anyone know how big the triple-zip cross body style might be? I looked on Dooney's site and didn't see anything that looks like what Disney will be selling.

Yep, had the same problem and tossed my white one. I still bought the Sketch tote...couldn't resist. Even if it lasts a couple years before it turns yellow I am ok with that I guess.

Dooney has a bag "trade in" program, so any bag that yellows, I would recommend contacting dooney and asking about trading it. They give you credit for about 1/2 the amount of what it was new (I think) and then you have to spend double that on a new bag. Better than just throwing out an older bag that has yellowed. I do not know if they will offer this program on the Disney Designs however since Dooney is not honoring their normal registraion and warrantee program.
